The accommodation was quirky and very clean and comfortable and Richards breakfast was excellent. We particularly loved the oatcakes. The location of this property is first class with its own carpark plus plenty of unrestricted parking on the roadside in front .It was within 2minutes of the railway station and the bus services. There are lots of walks and places to visit and the sherpa bus runs through Swallow falls and on to Snowdonia and Caernarvon.
There were plenty of varied places to eat within 5 to 10 minutes walk from the property. Our whole stay was extremely enjoyable.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Good central location, lovely clean room. High quality breakfast -very welcoming hosts. It was my husband’s birthday and they pulled out all the stops-couldn’t have asked for more.

We booked a Superior room (I have to say I did not realise it myself during booking), which was a bit pricier than what I am normally used to, but it was worth every penny.
Richard is a great host, helpful but not intrusive. He gave us a couple of good tips: for example, when we asked about a place for a wild swim, he advised us Llyn Parc nearby, which was exactly the spot we were looking for. His handbook available in the room contained a lot of useful information as well.
The room was very spacious, thoughtfully decorated and spotlessly clean with a great view to the garden and the river Conwy. The building itself and the general area of Betws-y-Coed are very scenic.
There were several breakfast options on offer and they were all very tasty. For me, the quality of the mushrooms and the baked beans stood out - somehow they were tastier than at any other place I've visited in the UK. I also liked the porridge a lot.

Great position and lovely riverside garden. Richard very friendly and helpful

Nice guesthouse in a quiet location, lovely garden. Room was nicely decorated, bed was comfy, the whole place was super clean and smelled really good.
Breakfast was tasty and very generous and served in a beautiful room overlooking the garden.
I'm guessing I probably got the quietest room as it was super quiet at night; exactly what I needed for a good night's sleep during an intense scrambling weekend.
I would definitely book again!

The Courthouse breakfast was without question the best hotel/B&B breakfast I have ever had. We also had packed lunches every day. Great sandwiches accompanied by many treats. Charming hosts as well.
I liked everything.

Friendly welcome, well looked after in in clean, tidy accommodation in a lovely & ideal location. Very close to bus stops and only a couple of minutes from train station with local shops close at hand. Superb breakfast, great choice & got to mention the eggs...Superb! Bedroom was warm & comfortable. Loved how the rooms were named, we were in the Fingerprint Room, breakfast in the Jury's Room. It blended in with the property's past, a bit quirky granted but nothinhg quirky about the all round quality of the property & the service provided. Superb!
Despite thinking long & hard about it, there was nothing to dislike about our stay.

Breakfast was faultless, plenty of choice, hot food cooked as per you order so lovely fresh and hot.
Room was spotless and quiet, and overall everything was just fabulous, I had a view looking over the water, which was beautiful too.
My only dislike was the pillows and duvet, as not a feather in sight, meaning pillows and quilt were hard and a little uncomfortable, but the bed was huge and spotless.

We went for a few days break and were very pleased with The Courtyard. An extremely comfortable b&b right in the heart of North Wales. Had a great nights sleep and a delicious breakfast every morning. Richard was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
4.5
The location and the style of accommodation
The shower was hit and miss with the hot water, but it is understandable, especially when bathrooms are installed in very old buildings, the basin hot water was fine.
4.5
Breakfast and location both excellent
Had to be careful not to bang one's head on ceiling beam ! However it gave the room character and of course it couldn't be altered !
