Prima ontbijt. Vriendelijke mensen.
Kamer was een beetje klein.

Excellent central position in the village with off road parking. The staff were very friendly, helpful, polite and professional. You could not find a better place. Staff also very knowledgeable about the area. The property is full of character and an excellent breakfast was served in a lovely breakfast room. Congratulations to the owners for running such an excellent business.
Nothing could be better. Of course, price is always an issue but I think we were charged a fair price for the accomodation and services provided.

From the moment we arrived the welcome was warm. Good info on surrounding area. Breakfast excellent and our grandson very well catered for. Good quality beds and bed linen.
Absolutely nothing

Food and service was good. The rooms were all clean.
The described 'bathroom' was only a small shower room with sink and loo - no bath!
It was also on the floor below (first floor) down steep stairs with low ceiling so difficult to get to.
The bedroom was on second floor which involved a number of steep stairs both up and down and low ceiling towards our room. The description on Booking.com didn't mention these points. My partner and I are both senior citizens and weren't expecting to have to encounter the above issues.

Very kind people, doing their utmost best to make you feel at home. Lots of information about the surroundings. Excellent breakfast.
The rooms and bathroom are ok but pretty small. The house is a charming elder house brought to modern standards, but all a bit small. Combining rooms would be a possible improvement to this point.

Excellent hosts with plenty of advice on what do / where to go in the area. Very well located right in the centre of Betws-y-Coed just off the main road. Comfortable residents' lounge (which we used in the evening) and dining room available for take-away meals if required. Pretty much a nice "home-from-home" for guests requiring a few nights or longer stay.
Very little really. The room was hot at night - summer weight bedding would have been good as an alternative to the duvet supplied (but this is an issue in almost all accommodation during the summer!)

Very nice house. Good advices provided by Chris.
Good breakfast cooked each morning.
Small parking and places available in front of the house.
Nice garden that you can enjoy in a sunny day.
Room a little bit tiny with a large luggage. however, room is nice and we managed it.

Exceptionally helpful and welcoming hosts. Thanks to Chris and Julie I managed to do two fantastic long scrambles in Snowdonia National Park. The info given by them was perfect! And the house is very cosy and friendly.

Other than the quality of the accomodation, Chris and Julie were excellent hosts.

We spent two nights at this guesthouse and it was a very good experiance. The breakfast was good and the staff was kind and helpful
Our bathroom was one floor below us and the water presure was bit weak. But is was OK overall

Lovely hosts who are quite welcoming and super informative about things to do (especially hikes of different sorts, our chief interest), charming house, and great location in town as well as a good base for seeing the area. Great breakfast too!
Loved it all. If you’re tall, you’ll feel a little cramped on headspace if you’re on the top floor (the shower will be tight too). But none of that mattered, given the charm of the place and the hosts.

Very kind and helpful hosts, who cooked wonderful breakfasts. The way they had thought through their presentation details was excellent, and gave the (true) impression of warm comfort and of going the extra mile.
We understood that we were to have a dedicated but separate bathroom, but not that it would be on a different floor.

Great location just a short walk from the Main Street.
Nothing. it was all great.

Lovely premises set in a beautiful village and the hosts were very kind, caring and helpful. Will stay again.

Chris and Julie are charming hosts, and their house is a true victorian gem in the middle of beautiful Betws-y-Coed. Breakfast was rich and delicious, and Chris was very helpful with travel advice.
A minor peeve: the carpets could use more thorough vacuuming.

We had a really good time staying here, it’s a lovely old cosy building. The rooms felt fresh with lots of space and really comfy beds. The owner was friendly, approachable and knows the walking in the area very well. It is off the main road with easy private parking and close to the bus stop which will take you to snowdon or ogwen valley.

Garth Dderwen is absolutely stunning of a B&B. Julie & Chris were so welcoming and helpful giving suggestions for activities to do during our 2 night stay in Betws. The breakfast was superb and so comfortable! The room was just the right size and bed is super cozy as well, which is a major plus! I would stay here again for sure!
4.7
location (no parking on site though); breakfast was okay
unclean, shower dripping all day and night after use, no parking at the guest house

Garth Dderwen is a lovely, traditional B&B. It is very well situated near to the heart of Betws-y-Coed. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

A regular visitor to Betws-y-Coed but my first time staying here with Julie & Chris. Large, sunny rooms which were spotless & peaceful. Central location & literally across the road from the train station.
Having the option of a room with a bath might've been a nice option

Lovely old house. Good breakfast. Friendly hosts.

What an absolutely amazing stay we had at Garth Dderwen, a home away from home. The hosts, Chris and Julie, were exceptional and very knowledgeable about the area and hiking. They recommended a great route up Snowdon and to top it off the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be return to this beautiful BnB again! We highly recommended booking this spot!
