Vieze kamer in slecht onderhouden complex

Wij waren genoodzaakt de laatste overnachting om medische redenen te annuleren. Daarin werkte het personeel mee. We hebben alleen hun annuleringskosten moeten betalen.

De kamer was ronduit vies en dan met name het bed. Er lagen keutels in, haren en kleine bloedvlekjes op de lakens. Er is geen klamboe. De vloer lag vol zand. Het hele complex was slecht onderhouden. Er waren leuke zithoekjes, maar die zaten vol vogelpoep. Er leek in geen tijden gepoetst te zijn. En het personeel zat doodleuk gezelschapsspellen te doen, terwijl er zoveel werk te doen was. Op de kamer geen wifi, koude douche, geen douchekop. Dat maakt allemaal niets uit, als de prijs ernaar is. Maar om €65,- voor zo’n kamer te vragen, is echt belachelijk veel. Bij het ontbijt kregen we als fruit bovendien alleen een gekneusde banaan en in mijn muesli zaten mieren. Wij snappen echt niet, waar deze hoge beoordelingsscore vandaan komt. We zijn echt wel wat gewend, maar dit was onze vieste kamer, gedurende onze 6 weken in Colombia.

Very little. 2 km from entrance to Tayrona National Park.

Mosquito net filthy and full of holes. Shower was just a plastic pipe coming out of the wall. No shower head or hot water. Lots of creep crawlies in room. Pool looked dirty. Tiny breakfast.OK for a child. Noisy main road with trucks and buses etc.

Good value for the money but expect basic.

Nice location almost walking distance from El Zaino Entrance to Tayrona NP Clean pool. Ok breakfast.

Internet is intermittent, towels are not replaced even after 3 days but that’s expected in a hostel. Stairs could be an issue for some.

Good

The location was key as we were heading to Tayrona National park which was only a short shuttle away. Not many other attractions near by though. We needed to be back in Santa Marta at 5am to catch our shuttle back to Cartagena and the staff arranged that for us at 4am which was very helpful! No wifi unless you are up at the reception area. They only serve breakfast which we didn't have time for so didn't get a chance to try it. There are a few restaurants near by with great food though! All in all a great place to stay for the value!

Wonderful place near the river and great pool. Need earplugs for sleeping.

Grounds and staff were great. Beds comfortable and clean.

Cabin was close to the road. Trucks and motorcycles sounded like they were in the cabin until late at night.

cute hotel, a little out the way. But very relaxing and quiet if you want to unwind

very beautiful little hostal, more like a hotel. Nice pool and area to have a drink in the evening with a view.

little out the way, you are on a main road so you can’t really walk anywhere. however motor taxis and buses. the restaurant wasn’t open so only had breakfast so had to go out for food and no kitchen area. it was super quite but that’s not a negative to most but we did think it might be more hostal vibe. but maybe that is just in the name.

Very beautiful location, comfortable beds and good breakfast. The staff are super helpful.

The water supply was a little unreliable - this is an issue affecting the area and not the hostel’s fault, but be aware that 24/7 running water is not likely!

Exceptional

I was expecting a room in a large building. It was my own little hut with my own patio and private bathroom. I can't explain how beautiful this place is. The cooks whip up your food to order. All the staff were always smiling and amazing. The pool was perfect after being out in the heat all day. I honestly can't recommend enough!!

We had a nice relaxing family time in beautiful and friendly surroundings. We prolonged the stay.

The place was beautiful, the staff was super friendly, the pool was great for the kids, the food ind the restaurant was really tasty.

Our room was placed right next to the road which made it hard to sleep the first night. The other nights went better.

- the food at the restaurant was some of the best we have eaten throughout our trip in Colombia, the included breakfast was great as well - the staff were very friendly and helpful with information on how to get around - walking distance to the park entrance (20mins) and east to flag down a bus to Santa Marta - the design of the hotel was well done, buildings were charming, and the landing was a nice view of the jungle - room was comfortable, dry, well insulated from the rain outside and highly functional mosquito net for the bed

- some bugs in the bathroom it was raining and in the jungle so it would be tough to prevent

Beautiful room, nice view, location looks like a paradise. Breakfast was delicious en the personnel is super friendoy.

Lot of ants in the room, also within the mosquito net because this was broken. The door of the room did not fully lock.

Stunning outdoor, not so stunning room :(

The oudoor space, the view and the pool is stunning! Birds signing and relaxing place, near plaza and tayrona. Perfect location. Included breakfast was very tasty !

The room itself was clean, but there were always bugs coming in on the floor room, as the door is not closed enough at the bottom. Walls were not cleaned either. Shower is cold.

After a long trekking, we found our room dirty and the beds without making. Other guest was having a pool party, was very noisy and we could not use the swiming pool

Beautiful place next to Tayrona

The place is absolutely beautiful. It feels like being in the middle of the jungle. The huts are very nice and the swimming pool is really cool. The staff was very friendly as well and the place is super close to Tayrona. Even though it's in the middle of nothing, it's easy to get there from Santa Marta just by taking a bus from the central market. Totally recommended

There was a big storm while we were there, so there were a couple of electricity cuts implying no water. However, the staff gave us another hut and they fixed it as soon as they could. Things that happen in the middle of nature.

Don’t stay here

place is terrible

Bug infested, filthy rooms. Spiders and mold in the pillows. The walls floor and bathroom were all crawling with insects.

What a beautiful place, I really enjoyed my stay at the treehouse. Friendly staff and the salmon was amazing!

Wifi reception is really poor, just come here to relax and don’t expect to be on your phone

Perfect haven near Tayrona National Park

The location was perfect, loved that it was set into the trees where you can hear and see lots of birds. The family and staff were helpful, food was a little slow to arrive though. All-in-all, it’s been one of my favourite places to stay to truly relax!

there was some mold in our bathroom. didn’t smell that good. wouldn’t have stayed a lot or nights. breakfast was too small.
