It’s beautiful and has so much character. It’s really impressive.
I like the idea of the outside bathroom/terrace but in reality it’s just a place for mosquitos to gather.

Very unique. Made me feel close to nature.
Nothing. Everything was great!

I like everything about Dreamcatcher. Room, staff, food, restaurant, lobby, common area, atmosphere everything was perfect. Most important thing is for me that is room was very CLEAN and comfortable. Amenities are useful.
Small gifts made me feel special and I felt like I belong here. I would definitely recommend Dreamcatcher to everyone.
Uncomfortable part is; there was no sink in the bathroom. It was not convenient for me to go inside the room and wash my hands.
One more thing is, I wish there was a bidet in the toilet.

Very nice guest house, not a hotel
overly priced

I loved how outside of the rooms they had community bathrooms and shower. I loved the library and the on-site chef there for breakfast and brunch.

I loved the location of Dreamcatcher, super safe, within walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants, in an exclusive area.
Also, their garden is phenomenal, lots of plants, sounds of water and birds, plus they burn incense.
Very clean, the matcha/mango smoothie was pure perfection.
Also, I took a massage and the therapist (Mirna) did a great job at fixing my back pain, she was very dedicated, loved it.
It was not very clear that the glass cottage doesn’t have its own bathroom. I just looked at the price, which is maybe reasonable considering the luxury area, but if I knew I will not have a bathroom, would have reconsidered. Had to climb down the bed through the night to go outside towards the bathroom and I struggled to make sure I will get there before 8am in the morning for shower, just that i wouldn’t pass through the kitchen where everybody else was having breakfast.
Also, the cottage is super tiny, I am quite tall and needed to hunch my back every time in there, I left with a terrible back pain (despite the great massage)

Quiet hotel in a gated community adds a peace of mind to the stay. Communal feel through out with shared kitchen and reading space.
To keep things refrigerated, you must use shared fridges in the common area. Stray cats on the property. They dont bother but if you have pet allergies this may not be for you.

The property itself is very charming with a great bohemian ambiance. There are huge tropical tropical plants throughout. The rooms are tastefully decorated. And the staff are all very pleasant and friendly. The property is just 2 short blocks to the beach and in a secure and safe neighborhood.
Overall the property felt like an elevated youth hostel. there are common sitting areas right outside of most of the first floor rooms, so it can sound like people are talking inside the room. We were woken up one night at 3am to people coming back from the bars and hanging out in the hammock right outside our door. The refrigerators are in the common kitchen area, so anything you want to keep cold is in the same fridge as other guests. They also ask that you wash all your own dishes, which seems a little absurd considering we were paying nearly $500/night. The room was very small for two people. we had to walk over our luggage on the floor every night since there isn’t anywhere to prop it up. While the outdoor bathrooms are nice and charming, the walls don’t go all the way to the ceiling, so you would hear people going to the bathroom at the same time as you or at times can even hear them flushing while you’re in the shower, which was a level of intimacy I wasn’t expecting. If you’re a light sleeper, I recommend getting earplugs since the wildlife can be loud at night and the hotel plays music in the common areas starting at 8am, which tended to wake me up.

One of the most beautiful boutiques I’ve ever stayed in! the facility is clean and tidy, with unlimited coffee and tea provided. no plastic bottle is a plus. we ran into a large scale of power outage and the hotel put a generator and get the power back really quickly. the staff are nice. good vibes overall. will come back for sure. super nice location and really close to beach as well
not all rooms have its own restroom. there are mosquitoes so be prepared. really loud bugs will sing you to sleep but they do provide ear plugs.

location is perfect. love ocean park and just two blocks from the beach.
the dreamcatcher is basically a youth hostel with a lot of communal type facilities rather than a hotel.

Superb breakfast. The mushrooms in the omelet were delicious. Fresh juice and great tea infusion. The location in Ocean Park was residential and secure, and the local beach was a 3 minute walk, huge, not crowded at all.
Way too many mosquitoes in our room and in the common areas on the property. We were there for just one night but in that time we killed 4 of them and got eaten alive by the rest (20+ bites each). We kept our door closed also. Mosquitoes are of course part of the experience of visiting a tropical location. But there was zero mosquito control on the property compared with the resort that we stayed in (between a forest and the beach in another part of PR) where we didn't get bit at all. The other resort uses an all natural mix of oils to spray their property, I recommend Dreamcatcher do the same. The rooms are a tad overpriced for what you get but otherwise it was a great stay.

When choosing a hotel, I knew that we did not want to stay in a large, high rise hotel in a crowded, touristy area. I was looking for a more tranquil, laid back beach vibe. The Dreamcatcher was exactly this; quiet, beautiful, tranquil, peaceful. The property and common areas are lovely, and our room with its own private outdoor space (including shower!) was stylishly decorated. The area was quiet and felt safe, with the beach a quick 2 minute walk and restaurants in easy walking distance. The staff were kind and helpful, and the property was kept meticulously clean. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the freshest food I ate our entire trip in San Juan which was highlighted by lots of good food. We will definitely return to San Juan, and will stay at the Dreamcatcher again.

Very small room when I did the reservation description of the room said it has a bath, they never mentioned that the bathroom was outside the room.
No bath also very hot water, we requested to be turn off and during our 4 days stay they did not resolved the issue.

Blew us away every day. Amazing food, peaceful dining area. Right by the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Just to let you know, we did encounter cockroaches twice in our room. Didn't ruin our stay, but thought we should inform you.

The hotel lived up to its eclectic reputation. The proximity to the beach and restaurants was great.
While we love the tropical canopy surrounding the hotel, the coqui (tree frogs) are so loud even earplugs and the AC running don't drown them out and it can be hard to sleep!

I truly enjoyed my stay here. The décor and style is exquisite!
I do wish the staff explained how to get in and out of Ocean Park because I ended up at a bunch of dead ends with locked gates trying to find my way out/in

I loved this place. Extremely thoughtful design, clean, safe, and walking distance from the beach
