Small lodge with 5 rooms. Great breakfast. Great view. Fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful. Franklin did the registrations/bookings for the sights. Would have been lost without him, all has to be done online, some in Spanish only and these webpages are so cumbersome. Franklin can be reached any reasonable time by WhatsApp or Signal. There are bicycles available to go to the city center.
Nothing, hope to be back sometime.

En Franklin podria ser Planificador d’aventura ! Ens ha organitzat el que havíem de fer cada dia i ens ha encantat! L’esmorzar cada dia al moment amb ous i sucs naturals i l’habitació fresca i neta.

An excellent accommodation if you want to be away from the crowd!! The scenery of the Andes is splendid and the night skies are outstanding. Franklin and Carla are excellent hosts with their warm hospitality and kind assistance with arranging for airport transfer and tours. The tours recommended were excellent. Good choice if you are driving and the walk to the town center is manageable, and the airport transfer will drop-off and pick-up at the lodge.

Everything. Everything was perfect: the welcome, the kindness of the owners, the copious breakfast, the nice simple and warm design of the room (and what a view on the atacama desert and Andes cordillera!). Franklin and his wife are always willing to help by giving recommandation and tips about visits and sites.

We loved everything about Planeta Atacama Lodge. It’s a a quiet, intimate setting with a spectacular view of the Andes from your window. We enjoyed the stars and the Milky Way every night. Franklin and Carla were exceptional hosts…always available to help with anything and provide info about the area. Carla’s breakfasts every morning were an added bonus. Our room was cool, quiet and clean. Beds and pillows were super comfortable! It’s an easy 15 minute walk from town and we really loved the peace and quiet that the location offered. We highly recommend Planeta Atacama Lodge and we hope to be back for another visit.

Half kilometer outside central part of town makes it quieter and with less light pollution so you can see Milky Way from the patio. Rooms are big, and the bed was very comfortable.
The road to get there is in tough shape. But once there, it so charming and beautiful.

Owners were so friendly and helpful in planning our trip. Breakfast juice was great and homemade. Wifi worked well. Loved staying a bit outside of the bustle of town.

My parents and I had the best time in Planeta Atacama!! The hotel is beautifull and the views are incredible. The owner Juan was super nice and very helpfull with providing all the best tips to enjoy our trip. All the staff was extremly nice and helpfull aswell, specially Franklin who help us with car issue, going in his personal car to find help in town so we could get to the airport on time. I highly reccomend this place, best hotel to stay if you go to San Pedro, a bargain for how good it is!

Tranquility of location, hammocks, helpfulness of Franklin the Manager and other staff.
Some private patio space would have been nice.

It's a bit away from town (15 minute walk to "the centre") but there's bikes if you fancy cycling, it's an easy walk, and all the tour buses will pick up from here anyway, and transfer from Calama dropped us at the door. Super helpful staff. Lovely setting and room, good breakfast too.

The accommodation has everything you need - it was super cosy, clean and quite. Breakfast was also very nice. And especially Franklin couldn’t be more nice and helpful.

Great location, just outside of town with super nice scenery and charming rooms. Delicious breakfast and fantastic hospitality from the manager Franklin and his lovely wife Carla. They were always there to answer any questions and give us tips on where to go and what to see. Our 9 year old daughter really enjoyed the stay too. She made us promise we would be back there and we will😊
Nothing really

the view, staff, breakfast juice and coffee
The only little detail is that the shower can be tricky but very manageable once you know how to make it work

Host was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful. Lodge is in perfect location as a nice escape from town with beautiful views (however would recommend car). Breakfast delicious and super huge and comfy beds. Definitely recommend going.

The view from the room is just breathtaking. The bed is really big and comfy. At night you can see a sky full of stars
The curtains can’t hold the light so the room it’s pretty bright in the mornings

Amazing and comfortable room. The shared area where the coffee is served is very nice.

The breakfast is ok, the food is tasty, but with no variety.
The furniture is good quality and new, nothing to complain.
The bed is super comfy and warm (the bedroom not so much, the heater is very small to a room that big).
Lastly, the view. The view is gourgeous, the bedroom window is like a fresh painting, definetely the best aspect of the hotel.
Of course no one expects a five star hotel in Atacama, but I would like the basics. The shower was horrible, 95% freezing water/ 5% boiling water, no in between. After a long day, you either shower with cold water or get a skin burn, no exaggeration. There is no hotel reception and the manager is mostly unavailable. Our room had no shampoo and we only got it after a the second day. We ask to antecipate the breakfast for 20 min so we could eat something before the transfer and the touristic activities, and even though we were 1 of the two guests, they couldnt help us (not with the yesterdays bread, not with yoghurt, not with fruits, nothing). The hotel is 1,5km (~1mile) away from downtown, so you usually have to walk alone at night in a dirt road after your daily activities (the transfers drop you off mostly in downtown after the activities), and even though they have bicycle to lend, it was locked and we couldnt use. We also spent a hole day without water and some hours without light and internet.

Fantastic place with fantastic view a little outside of town. The silence was incredible. Best breakfast location we ever had and the breakfast itself was also lovely. Be prepared for very cold nights, although the very friendly staff was helpful and proactive in this respect also.

This is a beautiful and quiet option just outside of town. Seriously, it's worth staying here for the sunrise alone! I would definitely return.

A quiet and unique place, it’s an easy 15 minute walk into town. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you want to enjoy incredible scenery away from the crowds.

Absolutely fantastic place! Atmosphere, comfort, design, silence, beautiful views, very good breakfast, big and comfortable bed, all necessary facilities available, bikes available on site. Very comunicative and helpful host.

the view is the best, you can simply stay all day in the hotel looking at it. as the territory of the hotel is very dimly lit at night, you can watch the stars even from your bed through the window.
also, it’s a small and really quiet place with a lovely terrace for breakfast and hammocks among the trees.
the bikes are a wonderful bonus! strongly recommend taking and riding around the town to find the best spot for watching the sunset.
and maybe the biggest bed I ever had a chance to sleep in, wonderful!
the sink in the bathroom is uncomfortably small and the bathroom being really spacious (which is a plus) feels a little not cozy.

I loved the style of the hotel which reproduces the old homes of Atacama.
I loved its location, a little away from downtown San Pedro.
I loved the fact that the hotel does not have many rooms which makes it a quiet and charming place.
I loved the breakfasts which were excellent.
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive.
The owner was great! Super nice, very interesting to talk with him and good advice.
I recommend this hotel with your eyes closed !
Nothing, everything was perfect !

Stunning location right on the edge of the village with a view out over the alfalfa to the Andes and gently puffing volcanos. Manuela was an excellent host and we much enjoyed talking to her about ongoing events in Chile. Juan has clearly put an incredible amount of thought into the design of the lodge. The welcoming sitting-room and wide veranda to sit sipping your morning coffee or evening glass of Pisco were a bonus. It was great to have bicycles to make the short journey into the centre of the village and the view from our room of the stars at night and the sun rising in the morning was extraordinary.
We had to swat quite a few flies in the bedroom.
