Alejandra was very pleasant and provided me with a fan upon request.
Good to have access to common fridge,
No air conditioning.
Stove was useless to me as I was unfamiliar with stove that uses canisters of gas.
On a hot day, the walk into town wasn’t very pleasant.

Good location, far enough away from busy area to cut down on noise but with 5 min walk. Large rooms with comfortable warm beds. Great staff, super friendly, helpful, nice, patient with my lack of Spanish (they don’t speak English). Awesome dogs and cats that you will just fall in love with. Great view of mountains and volcano. Good common areas, kitchen area, outside seating, etc.
No restaurant on location. Looks like there used to be but not open now (?) But many restaurants very close. No heating in rooms, or space heaters, and it gets very cold at night in winter. But beds are very warm. No English speakers. But I don’t speak good Spanish, so I can’t hold that against them. Plus they are so nice, that more than makes up for it. A little loud in morning with roosters crowing and dogs barking in distance, but I got used to it by 2nd night. Showers had good flow and hot water but it was difficult to get the temp just right. It takes a lot of adjusting the cold knob and the hot knob.

A perfect stay in a wonderful little hostel. The staff made me feel welcome and they even made me a mini breakfast to take on my bus. I will definitely be back!

This place has some of the best views of the mountains and the stars you will find in the city. The staff (Ani, Francisco, and “Mr. Lascar”) are incredible and assisted with making sure that I accomplished everything I wanted to get done in Atacama. They helped me arrange trips to the lagoons, volcanoes, and stargazing with short notice. The room, bathroom, and kitchen/dining were very warm despite the frigid nights, and the vibe was very chill. the place is in a very convenient location, but it’s much quieter than other places. No loud parties.

I enjoyed 2 nights at this great hostal. The family are very friendly and make you feel at home. My room was clean and comfortable and i enjoyed the added company of the dogs and cats. It was totally quiet at night. However, there is a rooster to help you in the morning lol. This isnt an issue for me. The square is in easy walking distance and there are plenty of restaurants. The included breakfast is very good with a large selection. Motorcycle parking is at your front door 😁

Huge and perfectly clean room, with wonderful patio. This was one of those perfect places that you’re so comfortable in, that you don’t want to go out. While traveling I’m usually not spending to much time at the hotel since I want to see everything that city have to offer. Here was different, I was enjoying spending time in the garden with three dogs and two cats, way more than in the crowded and tourist city. The small common kitchen was great idea since allowed me to make coffee anytime I want. Breakfast was starting every day in a bit different time since we were waiting for a fresh bread to be made, so I’ll remember the smell of fresh morning ciabatta for a long time, The owner and her family were wonderful, always helpful and trying to understand my A1 Spanish questions. Altogether, I would be glad to stay here again if I’m ever back to San Pedro de Atacama.

NOTHING TO LIKE
WORST STAFF EVER. RUDE, not helpful, mean 3 ladies. 2 of them speak 0 English and one who does said if I'm coming to her country I need to learn Spanish. I've never been at a stay with such unpleasant staff. freezing in the room, no heather or extra blankets. loud, dogs barking, roosters walking around. You can only pay cash, not any cash, but brand new notes. wifi is not working. water takes forever to get warm. dark room. construction right in front of the door. next to the bus and truck parking lot. stained bed cover, molded corners of the room.

The lady was super friendly. Since we didn't take breakfast because of the tours, she made a little "breakfast box" for us, which was very nice!
The shower was super cold. But they warned us about it because it is winter now and the pipes are frozen. And maybe the water kept changing from cold to hot because of that. We never knew how to contact the ladies there at night when we wanted to tell them something.

View from the location and it was clean!
Pickup from the airport went wrong. Also the tax is not included in the price. In the end you pay more. We asked if they could help with tours, they only asked when we left for our tour if we already found a tour.
