Nothing
I didn't like this accomodation. It was unpleasant smell in the room (food smell). The window is look for the main road.
There is no toilet and bathroom inside. It wasn't a good feeling to hear the drunk russian guests opposite to our room.

I would not know. They had me stay at Hotel Skálholt. Beautiful hotel surrounded by a wide, open fields!

Steer away, I could easily get over bulging furniture, lack of space or the occasional hair (which was all there) but bugs in the bed is a big NO, me and my wife drove away a couple off the bed and stomped them, but called it a day on the third one, immediately told the staff girl who offered to change sheets (which of course she did) but at that point we weren't very keen on sleeping in a room whose bed was unknown-bugs ridden until minutes before, we apologized but left and spent the night elsewhere, I'm truly sorry for putting the girl in charge at the time through all of the ruckus since it was about 22 pm, and I do apologize to her, couldn't manage to get a refund despite Booking help by the way on the basis that "It's just a single small bug" by the property's words, luckily a much better option is just across the road, I won't tell the name because I'm a fair guy...thanks for reading

Shower got the bathroom very wet and there was nothing to dry/wipe the water with. Had to wear sandals in and out the whole stay.

Room size was great .it was clean.
Staff was not happy. Kitchen was not well stocked . No tea towels no drain board for dishes to dry on

Our room had a small kitchen which was more than we booked however it didn’t seem to have everything we would have needed if we wanted to cook or eat in. The shower was good and the dark room made it easier to sleep.
The location was a busy area. The ground floor room was like a basement with one small window by the door which made the room dark. We requested a twin room but the beds were together like a double. The breakfast provided was very basic.

We appreciated that there were separate toilet and shower, and a second combined toilet/shower, as there were 5 rooms hosting 10 people. But as a guesthouse I assumed there would be a kitchenette facility, and this was more like a motel with a very small common seating area that the 6 of us took up easily. A freezer would be helpful, as many people travel with cooler packs.
The staff seemed to find us all more of an inconvenience to the restaurant business, and we felt that they disapproved of everyone during the breakfast buffet, checking how many toasts were put on a plate. There was no kitchenette facility which meant we had to scramble to figure out dinner for six with the options being the restaurant on site or the grocery store hotdogs next door. Since our trip was planned with cooking meals, this was unfortunate.

The beds were okay. The place looks charming from outside and is close to secret lagoon.
The rooms were not soundproofed and the sink in the room was very noisy. There were too few toilets to so many rooms. There was no hairdryer. The breakfast buffet was really sad and the restaurant has bad reviews. The city of Fludir is very empty with no good restaurants except an Ethiopian place.

We liked the motel set up with the ability to park the car outside.
Breakfast was much appreciated to save a few kroner.
There is an amazing Ethiopian restaurant over the road and a supermarket next door.
The block had rooms on two levels and there was a bit of noise from the room above.

It is close to the secret lagoon! And the breakfast was nice! The room was clean and spacious!
The staff was not very present.

Bathroom could have been cleaner. It just wasn’t wiped down after the last use it seemed .

Nothing really open nearby, nowhere really to eat.

Lovely lady checkin us in and at breakfast.
The cabins are simple but have everything you need for a comfy night of sleep.
The Secret Lagoon is super close and we got a little discount because we stayed here.

The room was lovely, with a great view of the river from our bedroom window. It was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed, and being able to park right outside was a bonus in the cold weather! Breakfast was tasty and a good start to the day. And you can get 20% off the Secret lagoon if you stay here, which is another bonus!
Arriving after a long day, we were hoping to be able to eat dinner, but it was not available that evening, and the restaurant down the road was shut on a Monday also! However, the hotel opposite was open, so we were able to get something there. This was only a small aggravation though in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Place was excelent
Although most of the snow on the passage was removed, there were some snow which made my mom to fall. Also I would suggest to put a microwave, that would be helpful

The area is nice, the rooms nice and clean
it was the first week of January, everything was closed in the surrounding, we booked this hotel as it had a restaurant to have dinner. usually when a hotel cannot provide a service they inform clients in advance so we could have bought food during the day. when we arrived they told us that the restaurant was closed as it was already booked by a group of people. knowing that everything was closed in the surrounding they refuse to give at least bread or something else, so we could not eat that night.

this property was very well located after a day doing the golden circle. We left a jacket there and they dropped it off in Reykjavik for us. it was well equipped and comfortable
the restaurant was only open from 5-7 after which the only food options were 30 mins away in Selfoss

We could watch Northern Lights clearly!
Because of the closure of restaurant ,the guest house person told us to go to the Icelandair hotel across the street to have a breakfast ,and when we went there the hotel person didn’t know our breakfast is included so we almost paid for it 3400 isk per person.I asked her to check and we finally could have it without additional paying .

We liked our cozy room, especially its size, the size of our bed, and the little sink (which is needed if you book a room with a shared bathroom). Our breakfast was tasty but average, there was nothing special about it, it surely did not look like the breakfast displayed here in the Booking gallery.
Very good location - close to the Secret Lagoon and some other natural hot springs. We liked their complimentary tea selection as it was much needed to drink a hot cup of tea after a cold Icelandic day.
This guesthouse is a strategic point when traveling to the southern coast. And they are aware of this fact. They only offer the very basics and nothing extra (for example better breakfasts). However, we enjoyed the area and only stayed at the guesthouse for one night and breakfast, so I think I would recommend staying here for people who just want to sleep and eat here and then continue traveling.
Breakfasts could be a bit richer (they do not correspond with the picture displayed here).
Bathrooms need fixing and better cleaning. It took forever to get warm water.
Weird door system.
We were disappointed that there was no possibility to cook our own dinner - no kitchen or kitchenette, not even a microwave or cutlery. We could only boil water for coffee/tea or instant soup. However, there were no plates for us to use. The restaurant was already closed when we wanted to eat.
