Wonderful stay in Annecy! Owners were very responsive and accommodating!

Location was amazing! We had incredible view of the canal just below us as well as the castle. Know that with views like this from high up, there are going to be stairs and buildings this old in Europe do not have elevators. This was a wonderful apartment. Weather was unseasonably warm during our stay and thankfully, the owners had 2 very good fans to help keep the apartment cool.

Spacious comfortable apartment, great view

The location is great - 10 mins walk from the station, apartment is right in the middle of many restaurants, terrific delicatessen directly below with lovely pre-prepared meals, bakery and fruit and veg shop just over the street, and fantastic view exactly as the photos show. The apartment is spacious with a separate bedroom, lounge & dining, good kitchen, separate toilet. Sofa bed in the living room. There is a washing machine and drying rack and a dishwasher. Although the apartment is right in the middle of the tourist area it is fairly quiet - you can hear noise from the restaurants in the evening but it quietens down and mornings were very quiet. NB this is a privately owned apartment and despite what booking.com says the owner will not meet you on site. The key to the apartment is in a lockbox to the right of the apartment door and you need to receive the code for the lockbox and for the door from the street. We found it easiest to communicate with the owner via Whatsapp and he was very responsive to messages sent that way.

As everyone says, the stairs - 68 of them - are the drawback. The building is very old with a spiral staircase, stairs are uneven, so getting up and down with luggage is a real task. A longer stay will make it more worthwhile! Bath is a bit difficult to get in and out of and a bit slippery, and with a shower over the bath you can end up with water all over the bathroom. Be careful walking from living room into the bedroom - we stubbed toes on the track for the sliding door numerous times before we decided to put a mat over it. This is a very old building and as some have commented you do hear people moving in the flat above although it didn't bother us much.

Beautiful view

The location of the apartment was perfect. The apartment was very cosy, quaint and clean with a beautiful view. We loved it.

Unfortunately, as an old building we could here the tenants above moving around a lot. It was quite creepy at night as it sounded like they were in our apartment.

best place I’ve stayed in France

spacious apartment right on the river, I just loved it. feels like a home, not a sterile hotel. even has a 1960s record player & washing machine!!

i panicked when I arrived & the front entrance was locked, with no answer on the phone. but eventually I got through. It was because I booked at the last minute. Maybe confirm the stay, and if you have to call, use what’s app rather than a normal phone call, however if you receive instructions on how to get in you will be fine.

Great stay in the heart of Annecy

We are a couple, stayed in the apartment for 5 nights - No hassle, self check-in and check-out with clear instructions was great and saved us time - Location is great - The apartment and the kitchen is fully equipped, you have pretty much everything you might want - Internet Wi-Fi works well - Bed is comfortable; and a big smart TV next to an extendible bed-sofa was a nice - The host was very responsive, helpful and provided us with all the information

The apartment itself is great in general and more so if you don't have people staying on the floor above you. For a day or two, we had someone on the floor above us and could hear their every step and activity loudly - it sounded as if they were stomping their feet as they walked across their house. It was uncomfortable especially late at night and early morning. So I guess the owner could look into soundproofing of the ceiling of the apartment to make it a 10/10 stay :)

Gorgeous apartment that I didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful apartment for 7 nights that had all the expected amenities and more! The views were spectacular. The bed was very comfortable. A nice surprise I found was the walk in wardrobe. The apartment is spacious and would easily accommodate 4 people. Right in the heart of the town you are only steps away from restaurants, cafes, supermarket. Less than a 10 minute walk to just about everywhere. I would highly recommend this gorgeous apartment. The hosts responded very quickly to any questions I had. Merci beaucoup! À la prochaine fois!

Not a fault as such but access is only via a spiral staircase, 68 steps in total. I was fully aware of this when I made my booking but I did struggle do get my suitcase up the stairs. Having said that, I would love to stay here again, I’ll just pack lighter!

In all, we would stay there again and recommend to anyone.

The location and the beautiful view. Easy access to the Old Town center.

There is a neighbor above that should be advised of guests staying below and not to move furnishings at night.
