Beautiful house in a beautiful location. The tide was high in the morning so we could have a swim right in the bay. That was our second stay in Marsh Mere and everything was as excellent as the first time - breathtaking views, lovely room, top-class breakfast, and the nicest hosts.

The guest areas are a delightful step-back into beautiful period rooms with modern en-suite facilities and finished with an enchanting assortment of tokens from prior generations. Plus excellent breakfast and a lovely location looking towards Hook Head. A lovely surprise.
Loved everything about it. Our thanks to the McNamaras.

Claire's property was fantastic. An antique feel mixed with contemporary touches. We had a beautiful room filled with antique furniture with a view over the bay and its own terrace. All very clean. Excellent sitting room with grand piano and books, comfy sofas and views. A very good Irish breakfast in the morning. Wished we had stayed more than one night. Claire provided lots of helpful information and few interesting facts about the area. Very peaceful place to stay as it is a very small town with one pub!
Nothing - it was all great

The location was beautiful! The B&B was next to the sea and walkable to a nearby restaurant. Claire was an excellent host. She was very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic! Everything was farm fresh and made to order. We had a bottle of champagne that Claire chilled for us and served it on the front porch. She even provided blankets for us. We hated leaving. We will definitely be visiting again.
That we couldn't stay longer...

The furnishings of the property were beautiful antiques. Claire was a fantastic host. Quick as a flash she booked us in to the pub for our evening meal. The breakfast was wonderful from the Wexford strawberries to the fresh eggs in the full Irish to the home made breads. Fantastic.

Located on a hillside overlooking the sea this is a superb B&B and our host Claire made us more than welcome and provided the best breakfast menu we have had in a long long time! The rooms are spacious, if not quirky, and well equipped. We stayed 4 nights and regretted having to leave! A B &B that we would highly recommend.
Nothing to dislike.

Amazing views of the sea and a well kept garden. we loved the breakfast and the nice small town authentic Irish hostess. For such a small town there was a great restaurant within walking distance and the ferry to cross to drive to Watertown was only a 2 min drive. Loved our stay and we will come back and stay longer than one night. We also appreciated the outstanding Irish breakfast.
The toilet flushed very different than we were used to. We never really figured it out but it was most likely just us.

The Marsh Mere Lodge is a charming B&B. The hosts look out for your every need. Breakfast is a full Irish breakfast and you won't go away hungry. Eggs are from their own chickens. We enjoyed evening on the porch with wine and a spectacular view. As the sun set and the air chilled, the hosts brought us blankets and lit candles. Our room came fully equipped with a kettle to make coffee or tea, bottled water and a hairdryer. We would 100% go back and hope to one day. Loved staying here.
Everything was great!

Sea views outstanding! Eggs were fresh from their own hens and wonderful bowl of fruit each morning. Hosts very personable with great desire to make you welcome and comfortable.
Be sure to wrap up bill at breakfast the last morning. We had a misunderstanding, couldn’t find host to say goodbye and inquire about bill. Thought bill was all set. Had to wire money to cover bill.
