perfect accomodation

Zelo prijetna soba, lep bazen, prijazen lastnik, ki nama je ustregel glede zgodnjega zajtrka, zamenjal denar, da nama ni bilo potrebno v zgodnjih jutranjih urah iskati menjalnice. Kot sva opazila, se je dalo dogovoriti tudi za pripravo večerje (tega prej žal nisva zasledila v opisu nastanitve)

Plača se lahko le z gotovino. Booking me je obvestil, da bo plačilo izvedeno pred prihodom, kar je povzročilo nekaj slabe volje. Dejansko ni bilo plačano vnaprej, čeprav so napovedali. Wifi je bil zelo slab - sicer imajo dva naslova, zvečer je bilo še nekako, zjutraj pa zopet ne. Ker sva spotoma morala uredi še nekaj službenih zadev, je bilo to moteče.

Great stay

The pull is great, the kids really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly, the food excellent. There is a terrace with a magic view at night. The beach in front is nice (even if its more like a lagoon, than a real beach)

we were there during a period of high heat, so it was difficult to visit the island. We didnt have a car, and even if taxis can drive you around there is waiting time, which is not great under the heat

Calm and a great place for peace. Beautiful sunset / sunrise observation spot. A wild beach is a 2 ~ 3 mn walk away

Improvement could be made to the vanity kit, and breakfast could be more varied

Relaxing and refreshing stay in beautiful surroundings with very kind hosts.

Manuel and Sophia were delightful hosts who were very sensitive to the needs of their guests and always happy to give advice, réservé taxis and restaurants etc. The hotel is in a beautiful but isolated spot, far from the Tourist Zone, so be prepared to rent a car or take taxis, which are very reasonably priced. There is a large pool and it’s possible also to swim at the beach across the road. Sophia is a wonderful cook so eating at the hotel is a good option. We will definitely be back.

Perfect place to stay with kids. spacious rooms, clean facilities, walking distance from a really nice beach, and the option to eat at night at the hotel. The food is great. Sure a place to come back

The owners are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Quiet place with a beautiful view from the rooftop.

The breakfast was okay but it could be better. WiFi is really bad, no WiFi in the room. Outdoor / Pool area and rooftop should be updated and could be cleaner.

We spent one of the best vacations at Dar Chick Yahia. This place is a small piece of heaven. The room was clean, very carefully decorated and it had everything needed for our stay. The swimming pool was very nice too. Dar Chick Yahia is well placed, you can enjoy an astonishing sunset from the (easily accessible roof). The area is really calm and the sea is just couple of hundred meters away and is just perfect. Manuel, the host, was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and available whenever we asked for anything. I highly recommend Dar Chikh Yahia and will definitely come back if I visit Djerba again.

Great Dar and a great Host

Great house and loved the location away from the city and near the sea but close enough if you need to buy something Monsieur Manuel the host treated us like one of his family visiting his dar

Very nice maison. Pretty quiet. You can enjoy the pool and the cosy rooftop. The host, Manuel is always available and ready to help in whatever you may need. Value for money. recommended

I just slept there and took breakfast and went on my way. It was a non pleasant stop to sleep stay.

The owner looks like a good guy and eventually didn't charge us for an extra night.

I reached the destination given in the hotel description before midnight, and guess what I find there, nothing but sand and stones the location given by the hotel owner is just in the middle of the sand and stones beside the beach, I look around no buildings. I tried to contact the number, no response. I went on driving and about half a kilometer I found two house-like buildings I went to one of them to ask about the hotel if they can show me the way to it. When I reached one of them, it looked like the same one I booked. I knocked on the door "there is no doorbell", I knocked many times, no answer I finally had to horn with my car, the owner woke up and came out annoyed why I came too late, telling me it would be a new charge for a new day cuz I reached the hotel after midnight "after spending a long time searching for it". My rating is mainly due to the misguidance made by the wrong address on the hotel's description. I hope he changes it. I even recommended to him to put a sign in place of the false address telling them the true one.

Exceptional

Location was perfect for our needs- not far from the airport however off the beaten path and away from the crowds. The building authentic and owner attentive and kind. Without his amazing help and recommendations the rest of our trip wouldn’t have been the same! He gave valuable advice on what to visit and places stay- including fair prices for the location and season. A real delight we would recommend to stay here in Djerba.

Exceptional

We enjoyed this place very much. I do have a couple tips to share. GPS does not go right to the location so try to arrive in daylight so you can see the sign. Also, drive the extra 90 minutes to cross on the bridge to get to Djerba. We took the ferry and had to wait more than 2 hours to cross. Others staying here had waited longer. The restaurants in Ajim cater to locals so you cannot get beer or wine. Ask Manuel to procure it for you if needed. He provided some very good Tunisian wine for us at a modest cost. The rooftop deck is lovely in the evening. The pool area is very nice as well. It is about a 30 minute drive to the main town where most of the restaurants are so allow plenty of time. The aircon here works very well! A very relaxing place away from the commotion of the tourist zone!

The breakfast seemed a little meager but was in line with other places we stayed so it may be what the locals eat. Just coffee, cake, a little fruit...
