We found the property to be a great fit for our parent's 90th birthday party. Plenty of room for all to sit at the table and counter; good space to gather; the cottage was cooking headquarters; place was clean; location was easy to get to and nice walk to Lake Michigan; rental company was accessible and helpful; nice to have a golf cart supplied with the house. All floors are wood or tile so with 20 plus people it got noisy and hard for the 90 year olds to hear in larger conversations.

This was a nice home but smaller than it appeared in photos. Very small deck off of the small kitchen. Good sized basement space perfect for teens to hang out in as all bedrooms are on the second floor. Nice rooms and furnishings. Smaller home in front is nice to have for those who want/need more quiet/privacy.

We loved having the separate house for people without kids. Was nice being so close to the park and minimal walk to the pool. Needed golf cart for the beach. Had issue with ants in the main house and hot water in the guest house. Someone came right away when we called and addressed issues. Hot water went out 2-3 times and they came within a few minutes to fix. WiFi worked with many people using. Beds comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Fireworks were great on the beach. Had a great vacation!

We loved the Beachwalk community and neighborhood. The pool was easily accessible, walkable to the beach, had a lovely boardwalk area and shop and the golf cart was really convenient. Unfortunately similar to other reviews the floors were not clean. We had 2 small children who are crawling and within minutes of us being there, they were covered in dirt. We really liked the property but the floors were disgusting.

The house was the perfect size for our large group. It was especially nice having the guest house for some extra space. There is so much to do in the Beachwalk neighborhood that was walking distance and even places with short drives like the outlet mall, zoo and casino that really made it a special trip for the adults and toddlers in our group. We will definitely be coming here again!

We loved the Beachwalk community and neighborhood. The pool was easily accessible, walkable to the beach, had a lovely boardwalk area and shop and the golf cart was really convenient. The Key Lime house and guest house were both decorated well, provided plenty of room and was what was expected according to space from the listing. Unfortunately there was a lot to be desired from the cleanliness of the property. Within only a few hours of being there everyone’s feet were black simply from walking through the house. There was no way that the floors were mopped before we arrived. The ants were everywhere in both the upstairs bathrooms. Crawling across the showers, vanity and into the bedroom across the dressers and I even had them in our bed in the master bedroom at one point. I understand ants can be a problem with all the sand in the area, but I didn’t have any access to any repellent in the rental. The sleeper sofa in the basement was not usable and needs a new mattress also the frame for both sofas in the living room are broken. The kitchen setup was great for large parties, but the freezer did not keep items cold. We had only a few things in the freezer for the week, so it wasn’t a case it was overfilled. I would also consider a few extra perks to make the stay that much more memorable and convenient such as some beach chairs, a cooler and a wagon that can be used in the sand. Part of our group wanted to reserve a time slot for the tennis courts and we’re told they stopped reserving spots the night before. The staff was very unhelpful and the process was not very efficient or accommodating. Last, there was a hornets nest the size of a basketball at the mailbox area at the playground and a child from our family was stung while walking by. We called to report it right away and it took over two days to be removed.

This property was well set up for our group of 15 extended family members. We had plenty of space and not too much of a hassle to get to the beach. The resort offered something for everyone to do. The kitchen had all utensils/cookware needed to make all the meals. There was an ant problem in the kitchen that we contacted management about. They sent someone to put up traps and vaccuum the sliding door they appeared to be entering through but it was a much larger problem than that there were constantly ants crawling all over the kitchen. The internet/wi-fi did not work. Also contacted management about this but never got a response about the problem. Overall, the property was good for our large group aside from those issues.

We had a wonderful vacation at Beachwalk, as always. The Keys was perfect for our family of 20. The basement was great for all of our teens and the guest house was the right option for our family members with little ones. Our only complaints are that the house is not well stocked with outdoor/beach gear (there are no beach chairs, umbrellas, etc), there were some small cleaning issues (mainly the outdoor space and the deck), the firepit area is not great for sitting around and the landscaping is not well taken care of. The house itself is very nice, the master bedroom is very large and comfortable. All that said, we would definitely rent this property again.

Nice Property and Resort
My family and I enjoyed the time spent at the house and the resort. We especially enjoyed the complimentary activities on the property like the kayak and paddleboarding. The resort was beautiful and fun for the entire family. Although the house was modern and exactly as shown on the website the house was not clean upon check-in. The counters were clear and free of debris, however, almost every corner was dirty, dusty, and full of cobwebs. We called within an hour of being in the house to report this, it was that obvious, and they sent someone right over to clean. The employee mentioned that maybe the previous cleaner didn't receive a dust tool because every level of the house needed dusting. We also mentioned on the first day that there were spiders in the downstairs bedroom and kitchen. She sprayed with over the counter pesticide and we didn’t see them again in the kitchen. However, they remained in the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The second-day spiders were crawling on the ceilings and pillows on the top bunk. As a result, the two youngest refused to sleep in the beds. They had fun sleeping on the couch in front of the TV and by then we only had 1 more night so it didn’t ruin the trip. The property came with a well-equipped kitchen that we tried to use each morning. The 1st morning when preheating the oven, the smoke detector went off waking everyone in the house because the oven was dirty. Rather than call again, I cleaned the oven. The second morning the smoke detectors continued to go off so the third morning we just didn’t use it. We would go back to the same property but will not stay in the same house, too many issues, and will be sure to ask pointed questions about the property we choose.

Really enjoyed our stay. I loved having the small front 2 bedroom home for extra space. I would recommend bringing extra paper towels because the house only had one extra roll. This is our second year at Key Lime and the minute I walked into the house, it felt like home. The place is immaculate...not even a scratch on the wall. It has one of the most well equipped kitchens we have ever had, which comes in handy since we cook all our meals. There is plenty room for everyone to find their own space...especially for the teens to escape to Keyhole Cottage.he location is great. The one way street is a plus because there is less traffic and the driveway gives us plenty of room for games or just throwing around a football.

Our family greatly enjoyed relaxing and making memories at the Key Lime and Keyhole Cottage. 20 of us gathered for a 40th birthday party, including lots of kids and babies, and we had a great time! Beautiful design with plenty of seating in the kitchen and family room for everyone to hang out together. The only minor critiques we have are: 1) It could have been cleaned better before we arrived. Our baby was crawling around when we first got there (before anyone else arrived) and was covered in black dirt and dust when we picked her up; and 2) We LOVED hanging out on the front porch but wish there was either more room on the porch or a larger outdoor area for a large group like ours to hang together. Regardless of those minor things, we would definitely come back to Beachwalk and the Key Lime property!

Our family of 19, ages 2 1/2 to 69, rented the Keys over the past Labor Day weekend. This is our 5th year renting at Beachwalk. Overall, the place was great, best we've been in, so far. The place was generally clean and well kept. The finishes show the house is recently renovated and up to date. We noticed there were only two dish towels and two dish rags, in the sink. So, we wound up washing them more than we anticipated...could use some more. Also, made management aware of a leaking sliding door off the kitchen, when it rained. They were prompt in responding with extra towels if needed. Also had trouble with the thermostats, but maintenance guys were dispatched very quickly and the problem resolved. There are a lot of stairs in this style of house, but we managed and had a good time. Must say that the two grills outside are very hard to light, one completely rusted through the bottom, and really need to be replaced with something more substantial. Beds all got great reviews, thank you!
