More shade at the beach

The facilities and activities.
Our air conditioning didn’t work very well and it started leaking.

Staff were very hospitable and welcoming, and nothing was an issue or too hard of a task. Room was close to the bar area but wasn't too noisy at all. Room was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nice. I was hoping to see some cultural dishes out in the buffet, maybe they're prepared on different days. Lunch menu was amazing.
An eye for detail to go over the rooms to ensure they are 5 star clean. There was coffee splatter on the wall that I cleaned with a wet wipe. The shower floor was slippery with grime when we got there, and after after the cleaner had been through. The patio outside could've done with a sweep or even if a salu/broom was there, that would be handy cos I appreciate staff are busy all the time.

The style of the resort is very peaceful; relaxing and comfortable. I enjoyed the pool, fofo specials & the daily housekeeping.
Unfortunately, my checkin was initially delayed as I was put in the wrong room that did not have an ocean view, however it took another 1hr to correct my booking.
Also, unfortunately the food for the Saturday fiafia night (octopus and luau); I was sick with diarrhoea. My family members also were sick with diarrhoea from the food on the night, for the night and the next two days. I have to raise a concern with the cooking hygiene. Please follow up.

Everything was on point.. worth the money even the staff they’re friendly. It’s sad because I only had one night of staying but now I know next time I will definitely be staying for a week or so. My family loved everything about our staying I’m giving you guys a 5star. Well deserved
Nothing at all

The food, the pool and the beach.
The AC didn’t blow too much cold air

I loved the location, friendly staff and food was really reasonably staffed. They also had an activity every night of the week which meant you didn't have to go into town. This was our second time here and would highly reccommend it to anyone!!!
It was the little things like putting the cushions on the sun loungers earlier in the morning and tying them on to the loungers and also some of the wait times for food and drink was a little long but I'm only knit picking overall a fantastic stay and would absolutely reccommend Taumeasina!!!!!

Such great amenities! Loads of activities, great location, friendly staff, snorkelling right off the beach at the resort is good, rooms are really nice.
Staff are lovely but service at the restaurant is really slow, room service is not really a service as they only make the bed (don’t clean any cups, or replace any soap, shampoo etc)

Location superb one minute drive to centre of Apia, buffet breakfast was delightful with eggs cooked by chef to your liking. Staff extremely attentive, professional and friendly. Had made a prior reservation for my wife’s birthday at Sinas restaurant, was advised that reservations had not put it in the system and that we could not use the restaurant as there was a 70th birthday party booking. However Luisa the food and beverage Manager went out of her way to assist not only providing us with a table two nights later(we had the restaurant to ourselves and the staff sang happy birthday to my wife) but also complimentary champagne and birthday cake. Plus a bottle of wine sent to the room.
Only 8 Samoan dollars to the city in a taxi
Loud music at night. But we had been warned. Take your ear plugs.

Proximity to Apia, activities, facilities, food but most of all the friendly and accomodating staff
Room could of been slightly cleaner, safe wouldn’t work.

Lovely location with lots of pretty fish on the reef by the hotel
The food is very average and service in the restaurant very slow

The location is sublime with unimpeded beach/ocean views. Facilities are excellent and the activity staff were outstanding in their care and time with guests. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices, including individualised egg station, lots of good fruits and some nice pastries. The welcome was unexpected and one of the best in Pacific!!
Can't think of anything.

the only thing I like is the pool and the view
This is a over priced resort and the customer service was terrible. We had high expectations and did not enjoy our stay, we received way better service from other resorts esp the ones that are far from town. Our room had limited space which was not convenient for us as we were with our 2year old son, the service was slow and we noticed the staff treated us differently compared to other tourists with ethnicities other than Samoan. Other resorts are more family/kid friendly and have resources that are convenient. The staff at Taumeasina really do discriminate and prioritises pakeha people compared to overseas Samoan people which is completely unfair as we paid the same price. We are also guests and should be treated accordingly and I’m just appalled by their negative attitude towards us. It’s advertised as one of the top resorts in Samoa but in reality it’s the opposite. I would definitely not recommend this resort to anyone, really poor service.

Loved the everything about this resort! The location, facilities, and amenities alone, but all of the extra activities they have every day. Complementary breakfast was delicious, mix of modern and Samoan traditional, it was a must to start the day. Pati, Junior, Jeremiah, Gloria, Vai, Semo, and all of the other countless staff members that went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one. BEST RESORT IN SĀMOA!!

The staff were friendly and helpful - the best of all our stays in Upolu. Location is so beautiful being right on the beach. We went at Christmas time, so they had activities each day and events every night. They also did a big buffet lunch and dinner - we didn't end up eating at it, but it looked great!
It is about a 5-minute drive out from the main city, so it's not quite walking distance in summer heat. I also called 3 or 4 times about my favourite singlet that I left in the room, but never received an answer or the call back to confirm it was there or not. That was a little frustrating because I never got it back.

Absolutely beautiful resort! However the service was horrendous especially for the price you pay, you expect good service. Reception was lovely but the waiters, room service, bar staff, housekeeping were awful. We waited 40+ minutes to even get acknowledged by the waiters in the restaurant, for breakfast and dinner.
We also ordered a bucket of ice to our room for room service and that took 80+ minutes and that was with us calling them 3 times to check if it was coming.
Besides the lack of good customer service, the resort was beautiful and the nightly events were great fun but if your expected to pay a pricey amount per night then the service definitely needs fixing! because of this we will probably not stay here again.

nice Location, aircon
Bar and wait Staff were rude or ignore you, had to ask for cutlery and it was like I was asking for the world!
Beer was warm and you needed to wait ages to be served.
Front desk staff were very nice and friendly, helpful.
Bar and wait staff need an attitude check, (except for pregnant lady, she was amazing and so lovely, role model behaviour).

beautiful setting with the whole hotel on an island
good took FOREVER when ordered in the restaurant. Over an hour when we were only three tables who ordered food

The apartment was great. beautiful view clean and comfortable beds
the smell. I smell bad infront of our room most of the time it got to our room.

Had some issues with the bathroom facilities, our bathroom didn't have a shower door and on our first day the shower head broke and the replacement kept flying up and this would of been mitigated with a shower door.

location is great…that’s about it
-Rooms were tiny for what you pay for vs other hotels I’ve been to that I’ve paid the same amount for.
- Beds are horrendously uncomfortable. The floor would’ve been more comfortable.
-Kitchen cubby was dirty and not cleaned before we arrived
-Had a few times where staff would forget an item we ordered or not take down our order properly to begin with so items were missed
-Had a wifi issue where it took over an hour to fix because nobody knew what to do until the GM arrived
-We had to constantly call wait staff to take our order
-Some days buffet food was great and others not so much

the room amazing! very comfortable
pool and beach area beautiful
lunch was way expensive than what we got, not worth the money at all
and this is the first time I’m at resort/ hotel and the show is not for all the guests, it was just for the people who ate dinner. we waited for the show and it was very not respectful and not nice- they were with the back to all the other guests at the hotel who were trying to see anything.

Quiet and relaxing. Great friendly staff, always helpful. Located just out of town, good cheap taxi service into town and attractions.
Airport shuttle was late
