Location
The accommodation is very basic,
It is advertised as two bedrooms, however one of these is basically in the lounge. The other on the top floor is overlooked at the rear by apartments and offices, this wouldn’t be a problem if there where functional Blinds or curtains to hide my modesty but there isn’t!!
I used a spare duvet cover to protect others from the site of me in my birthday suit.
The pillows on each bed smell very bad. I’m a problem solver not maker so I used a spare T-shirt to lay my head on,
The patio doors to the balcony is in need of repair, however it’s not a problem as it wasn’t very inviting, with broken chairs and used cigarette butts ( despite being advertised as non smoking)
There’s a half load of washing in the washing machine if you run out of bedding, so that’s a bonus!
On the plus side, the location is very good, you have got to walk past a rather dirty bin store to access the apartment and up a few steep steps.
The shuttle service was worth the 50€ as I’m not sure we would have found it without directions plus the gentleman who met us was very helpful.
My overriding opinion of the apartment is disappointment.
I would not recommend this apartment.

Amazing location, adorable architecture in the apartment, loved the terrace
Could just use a full length mirror and some more hand wash

The location is amazing, and the apartment is very light and spacious
The balcony door was broken which was a concern at night. Not enough kitchen stuff to cook a meal, we needed bowls, oven trays. Curtains were broken. The WiFi didn't work for a while the host fixed it but it was a problem as I had to work that afternoon. The entrance of the building is a bit shocking, I wasn't expecting it.

Perfect location right in the centre. Spacious and clean.
The door onto the balcony was broken and open when we arrived.

The location in the altstadt give great access to all the bars and restaurants but it was quite in the apartment. ample space including an open patio area .
the entrance to the apartment is not ideal as you go through an area that is used to store dustbins but not an issue if this type of thing doesn’t bother you . The bathroom could do with some modernisations.

the location was great
The wifi doesn’t work at all. We asked the host to fix but he didn’t during our stay.

well located
Entrance is not welcoming; passing in the middle of trash containers,
strairs are stinky of sigaret 🚬 and hardly cleaned .
we wrote 2 e mails for assistance but no reply we needed assistance on a TV .
we had to go outside for football match

Ali was very friendly. The appartment was clean, towels provided.
To get to the appartment you have to pass through the trashcan room, disgusting smell. There you have to try 3 keys to find the right one to open the door so you can escape the trashcan smell....
Cheap/broken furniture, television not working...
I had no expectations...it was just to sleep one night...

Spacious and in an excellent location! Close to all the places we wanted to see, and minutes away from excellent restaurants. It was also great to have a terrace.

Perfect location, no hassle arrangements for getting in, simple key lockbox. One minute walk from the best bars and resteraunts and the Rhine, impossible to be in a better place in a quiet small walk through. Balcony another bonus.
Door to balcony a bit difficult to shut, stairs to apartment may be a bit much for some, fine for us.

The location
It's better to clearly mention that the apartment in 2nd floor and that there is no elevator and the entrance are a bit uncomfortable, otherwise everything was good

The location is a gift and a curse: the gift is how it is positioned compare to the Altstadt and nearby shopping, groceries and restaurant options. It is super easy walking to most tourist sites or just enjoying the city centre.
The heating also worked well, making it a warm winter-stay.
Parking is possible in a very nearby underground garage for a good price compared to what non-locals would otherwise have to pay there.
The host unfortunately could not meet us, but was friendly in the communication that did took place.
As mentioned above, the location is a gift and a curse: the entrance leads past a small courtyard that functions as a place for trash containers and the apartment is reached via relatively steap stairs, which were challenging for our older family members. The real location curse are the neighbours though: starting around 23:00h, each evening was celebrated with really loud music, on Saturday going on until the middle of the night.
The apartment may have once been worth the 8.0 rating it had while we booked it, now it seems like faded glory. It probably once was good and could be good again, however the apartment has not seen a proper renovation in a while: window coverings have seen better days and are in some places barely hanging on, e.g. blinds hanging from their strings instead of proper wall mounting. The roof terrace (with holes) looks like storage for broken chairs, the balcony has a dead plant and a random roadwork lamp on it. The tile joints in the shower cubicle turned fungul black. Same with the furniture, the faux-leather is no longer fully covering the sagged chair seats, drawers contain random bedside lamps (without lightbulbs), a cabinet door came off when walking past it, ceiling lights have light bulbs missing. The wifi was not stable enough for conference calls, even with cameras off it would occasionally loose connection.
Most things can be fixed with a proper renovation (furniture etc.) or communication (stairs), only the neighbours are tricky..

Clean apartment and Location is perfect in central area.
