quaint accommodation clean and great location

The heating was ok!
The facilities were much too small for the number of guests!
There were only three chairs for five people!
the kitchen was much too small for five people.
The kitchen cupboard doors couldn't be opened as there was not enough room1
We felt the price of $700.00 per night was outrageously high for the property!

Excellent location , close to shops.
Excellent staff, very friendly
Excellent heritage houses, very comfy.
This is third stay at Ningana and I will be back again next year.
I would like to see a handrail put in the bathroom, just above the bath where the shower is situated. It is very slippery and as an older person very dangerous getting in and out of the bath to have a shower.

Nothing.

The location was great - very central to cafes shops etc. We ate at the Kitchen and Bar, a very nice breakfast. We went to the races, a lovely easy walk to the racecourse and visited a lovely winery.
The apartment was very small but clean and well kept.

At first glance the outside looked ok. The pub next door does good food.
I was so disappointed with Rose Cottage. The room with the bed was very small. It housed an uncomfortable bed which took up most of the room. It seemed that there was only one small electric blanket on the bed. It was very cold and the air conditioner struggled to heat the room. Perhaps if the outside vent was sealed up and the cracks under and around the door where fixed, that might be different. The next room was a multi purpose one. A “bathroom” in one corner with a shower cubicle, which was very slippery, and a tiny sink. In the next corner was a “laundry” with a washing machine and ironing board which sat under a louvred window letting in some more cold air. The next corner had a “kitchen” with an assortment of cupboards which have seen better days and in the fourth corner was the door to the lean to toilet, each ‘room’ getting progressively colder. It wasn’t as the website photos portrayed. It certainly wasn’t worth the money.

Qiurky. Facade of building is lovely.
Loads of potential. Just needs some TLC and a new bathroom. Was told cottage in back yard was empty but was not.
Photos not quite reality.

We had a carpark & the location of the property was excellent & that's about where it all ended.
I don't know where the photo advertising the property is from but it is definitely not what we stayed in. The tiny room we were allocated was located at the back of the advertised heritage houses & it felt like we were staying in a back shed with a small fibro extension tacked onto the back of it. The shower was located in the same room as the very cheap flat pack kitchen (definitely not heritage).

Breakfast was not included. The motel is within walking distance of all amenities. We requested to move from the cottage to the motel. The cottage was very clean but was not what we wanted.
The cottage was very old. I don't think Bookings.com had advertised the property correctly. The manager was very obliging relocating us to the motel. We were grateful for their understanding.

Location is it's only redeeming feature.
Where to start - the website photographs are misleading. Photo's depict the rooms available in the Herritage Houses. When we checked in, it became clear that the 'Rose Cottage' was nothing like the images depicted on the website. Rose cottage is a small and dingy room at the rear of the main Herritage Houses. The main bedroom has one small window which is 50% occupied by the window rattling air conditioning unit. The remainder of the window that faces the back door of one of the Herritage houses has no curtains only a pull down blind which allows for zero privacy and no natural light into the room. The shower, laundry and kitchenette all occupy the same space - which means a shower results in the kitchen/laundry/bathroom floor being swamped with water because the shower curtain is too short.
The Rose Cottage is a shameless grab for money by letting out what felt like a converted garage in the rear of the property.

We booked on Bookings.com in the Rose Cottage which was priced at $126 p/night. Gentleman told us to have a look at room before settling on it. We were not impressed it was virtually the old laundry of the heritage house in front of the building. When we returned to him he said there is a motel room available, which is part of the accommodation. We had seen this advertised as $160 p/night but he took opportunity to charge us at $173 p/night.

Location was great. A very easy walk to restaurants, supermarkets and shops.
The weather was very cold and the room was very cold. The air conditioner struggled to keep the room warm.

The cold bathroom tiles , very challenging on wintry night!
