Everything!
Nothing was not to like!
4.5
Well equipped luxurious rooms and the restaurant and surroundings were well spaced out inside and had an outdoor terraced to sit out as well
There is building works going on at the moment it didn’t affect us too much as we stayed on a weekend when there is no work going on. But the car park is the other side of the building works which can be a problem with people with mobility issues.

restaurant and bar were great areas . the food was incredible
slow service for drinks and food , stayed on room 8 and the music from the bar area vibrated and could hear from my room until very late . room was small

Food and generally accommodation were very good
I paid £269 for a room that was quite noisy above the bar area , also paid on top 20£ a head for breakfast by the time I added dinner etc it ended up around 500£ for one night which for the accommodation with extensive building works going on as well was in my opinion vastly overpriced

Had dinner and overnight stay for my husbands birthday. We loved everything about his place ❤

The whole place had a great feel to it, staff really friendly and helpful, we had an unexpected upgrade which was a nice surprise. The Christmas lights looked absolutely spectacular.

How welcome you made as fill.

The breakfast was excellent. The food was superb, fresh and locally sourced, and the views from the Terrace were good. The room was clean and spacious.
The car park is a bit of a trek with bags, although it seems to be getting renovated, building work in progress. Not a deal breaker, though.
4.5
Everything was perfect. The staff were superb, ambiance wonderful and, as for the food, it really was fantastic.
The current building work made for early morning noise and a bit of a walk to and from the car park.
4.5
superb hotel, with really amazing staff. James a barman makes the best cocktails
Absolutely nothing!

The breakfast was excellent with lots of different options available and the location was very picturesque with lovely views of the countryside. Our accommodation was very clean and with modern facilities.

beautiful building , very clean, we took time to tell the cleaners what a good job they were doing
we were shown to room and a cold air fan was dragging warm air Into the room as the tube had been crushed by the sash windows. it took a long time for the room to cool.
4.5
lovely location, very friendly staff, lovely big suite, food superb
nothing

Great rooms newly decorated, modern bathrooms, nespresso coffee maker and homemade cookies in room.
Reception hard to find on arrival.

All the staff were very professional and really wanted to make sure that you enjoyed your time at the hotel
Can’t think of anything

Full English breakfast poor because the bacon/sausages were not hot enough. The hottest thing was the egg!!
I mentioned this to the waitress twice and despite there being only 4 customers and the chefs visible through the glass there was no apology.
The breakfast on the first day (comments above).
The room was not large enough and the view was of scaffolding. There should have been a free upgrade - there were only 5 rooms occupied on both nights.
The lounge was scruffy upstairs by the bar.
4.5
The hotel was brilliant and we couldn't fault it. The room was clean and well presented and had lovely finishing touches (including a proper hairdryer and not one attached to the wall in the bathroom!). The restaurant and bar were great as well as the grounds and we sat outside for ages just taking it all in. The staff could not have been more helpful - this was the case for everyone we spoke to leading up to and during the stay. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be going back
4.5
amazing food and fantastic service
the bathroom door didn’t shut properly and the towel rail was on full blast
4.5
Couldn't fault a thing, staff were amazing, food was amazing. room was just as we expected..perfect stay.
Nothing.
4.5
Superb staff creating a feeling of you being a valued guest . Restaurant food was wonderful
Currently just be aware of building works to develop and improve the site into a Spa / wedding venue.
4.5
On booking it did not tell you about on going building work , so when it showed up on booking I was appreciative, but and a very big but , this was by far one of the most beautiful stays I have had it was spotless, the staff were very attentive, the restaurant was better than any upmarket restaurant I have been to , all of the food was presented excellently, and tasted even better than it looked, I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone wanting something up market .
The only thing I could find fault with was our view from our room , as it had scaffolding outside our window , but that was it , once all buildings works are finished this will be so beautiful , thank you for a wonderful stay
