the place is a cheteux which seems to be quite old but beautifully kept and updated, it is so quite and relaxing, there is also a nice large garden full of ducks and geese you can feed. we also had the facilities to use a bbq and were lucky to have nice weather. the host Sandra is very nice and will go out of her way to facilitate your stay. its also very close to a bakery and a small minimarket you can pick up some supplies. and if visiting the d day beaches its very close to the arromanches, juno and gold beaches
nothing we liked everything

You be hard pressed to find a nicer location in Ver S/ Mer. The Manor is right next to the British Normandy Memorial and only a few minutes from the beach. The combination of the chateaus lively architecture and the extensive garden makes for a unique location. We loved that there was so much to do: feed the animals, splash in the pool or just relax in the yard. Of course there’s also a lot to see in the area and it’s a perfect home base from which to explore the surrounding area.
I must also add that I thoroughly enjoyed our hostess’ hospitality and swift response to whatever question we had. The apartment was outfitted with everything- we stayed for two weeks and hardly needed to get a thing beyond food.
Nothing, there’s no compliant.

Everything about the apartment was beautiful and comfortable. It has been furnished and maintained to a high standard and it really shows. We spent a lot of time on the terrace and exploring the grounds. The goats, sheep, ducks and swans were such a highlight for my daughter who adores animals and they loved her attention. The pool was also lovely and so nice that you can book it to yourself. The Chateau was, I believe, fully booked, yet so quiet and private. I hope to come again!

No breakfast; but nearby bakery exceptional.
Some advice on locality suitable to us would have been great (we had a dog that could have come to the restaurant on our first night but we didn’t know)…

Stunning setting! So many beautiful spots outside to sit, relax and enjoy the views. My daughter loved being able to feed the ducks, goats and sheep each day. Perfect location from which to visit all key historical spots in Normandy. Kitchen was well equipped with quality equipment.
The bathroom and shower were a little small. We also felt the pool would be used more if it was always open to all guests. Booking a slot was difficult when you are out and about and unable to predict when you would be back to use it. We were also disappointed that the wellness was not operating apart from booking someone to come to your room which felt a bit invasive. But overall it was an awesome stay.

Everything was perfect, pictures don’t do justice of how beautiful this place is, the host Sandra was wonderful.
We will definitely be back.

Lovely, clean spacious apartment. Grounds were beautiful and the children could feed the ducks and explore the gardens. Linen clean and beds comfy. Great location to visit various D Day beaches, museums and memorials. Sandra was helpful and friendly and offered suggestions of places to eat, shop. Great bakery a short 5 minute walk
For a 3 bedroom apartment, that could potentially sleep 6, it could do with more than 1 toilet.

The Chateau was the highlight of our 2-night 3-day visit to Normandy! Sandra was a terrific host and was always around to answer our questions and bring us anything we needed. She provided us with a great list of restaurants and bakeries in the area. There was a small grocery store and a bakery within a short walking distance. The entire apartment was spotless and very modern and had everything a family of 5 needed. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Being able to feed the ducks and geese and goats on the property with the feed that Sandra provided was a thrill for our 7-year old grandson. The indoor swimming pool was also a big hit with him. The entire property is stunning and the other guests we met were very friendly and eager to share a glass of wine on the patio while we discussed the days events. The Chateau is very close to Juno Beach, that as Canadians was a must see, and it is very central to the rest of the sites we wanted to see in Normandy. I highly recommend the Chateau for a couple, two couples or a small family and without hesitation we will stay there on our next visit. We had 2 cars and there was ample on-site parking for all the guests. The main gate to the property had an electric coded entrance and exit so once on site you felt very safe. Thank you Sandra for being such a wonderful host to our family! We hope to see you again!
The only thing we didn’t like was the fact we could only spend 2 nights at the Chateau!

Beautiful, very clean, modern/scandinavian style - light, no clutter, functional. My style - minimal, beautiful.
Everything you would need. Kitchen items galore.
Sandra is an amazing hostess. Friendly, easily reachable.
Grill outside was great. Wonderful place to sit outside. Really nice couches, tables and chairs to sit outside very comfortably and Great sun at the back of the house after a day of touring around to enjoy the ducks, chickens, swans and pond.
Great location to visit all the locations, different beaches, museums and restaurants.
There wasn't one thing that wasn't perfect.

Beautiful pond and park-like grounds surrounding the chateau were amazing. Sandra was available for any issues that needed to be looked at. The chateau was in a central area close to WW2 battle fronts. Great place to stay in a 1884 French Chateau with all the modern facilities.

Loved the property, the spacious apartment and beautiful garden. Location is great in a quiet village close to the D-day beaches, the restaurants of Courseulles-sur-mer. Nice bakery and small supermarket are at walking distance. Great host!

Lovely building and apartment - gardens were also great - nice and peaceful/calm.

We stayed in a first-floor apartment with three bedrooms, a large kitchen and a large living room. There was plenty of room for two and a dog. The apartment was nicely decorated. The kitchen has the necessary dishes and equipment. The place was clean.Ver-sur-Mer is a quiet little village that is not so much a tourist spot as part of the Normandy coast. There is a good patisserie and a small shop in the village. Bigger shops in nearby villages. We especially recommend the fish market in the nearby village, which is open every day.
There was nothing we didn't like.

beautiful property in a great location and our baby loved the animals

Pretty much everything from start to finish was excellent. Amazing service, Sandra was always on hand to help us and is a brilliant host. Our apartment was beautiful and spacious. Very comfy beds! The grounds are lovely. Great place for kids, as you can feed chickens, rabbits, ducks, miniature goats and sheep. They're all so friendly and eat straight from your hand. Watch out for the swans and geese though! Indoor swimming pool, which is fairly compact but seems to be available year round and great for some fun with the kids. Just down the road from the beach. The British Normandy Memorial is directly next door and worth a look, it's an amazing structure with phenomenal views along the coast. Couldn't ask for much more, would highly recommend a stay at this hidden gem!
One very small thing for complete transparency, which shouldn't put anyone off, it certainly didn't affect the overall quality of our stay. You do hear some noise from the apartment above, unless you're lucky enough to have very light-footed people staying above you! If you had kids jumping about above you, you would certainly know about it. We were warned that this may be the case and were also asked to try and be quiet for the apartment below. However, as long as everyone listens to Sandra's request there is no problem and it really didn't affect our family.

This is excellent, problem free place to stay. In France it's rare to find apartments that are clean to a hotel standard and don't have any ''hidden'' policies such as bring your own bed sheets or rent them for EUR 10, or even worse - take out the bin and do the load of washing before leaving :D. Friendly family owned business, lot of activities for children and beautiful setting. Definitely recommended.

The grounds are beautiful. The animals are fun to see. The apartment was big and roomy. The beds were very nice. The decor was pretty. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Walk easily to the bakery and small grocery store. Sandra was a great host. We would have loved to stay longer.
There was only one WC. Three comfortable showers and wash basins. We were four women. It worked out, but not the easiest.
3.0
Location, gardens / estate
Lack of guest information - how to operate cooking equipment, emergency services, local doctors etc. Only French tourist information yet the British Normandy Memorial adjoins the estate Critical lack of FIRE escapes -only one main wooden staircase 50 steps, no fire doors in apartment, no doors on en suite shower areas, would not get a fire certificate in UK. NO wardrobes or any clothes hanging space. Swimming pool smaller than photo suggested with no shower or changing facilities, only accessible by going outside and down more steps into basement. Only one village shop, no open restaurants, had to drive 5 miles to nearest one.

Perfect.

Excellent location for beach and sites of interest. Beautiful chateau, garden, pond and wildlife. Pretty village. Chateau adjacent to British Normandy Memorial.
In my opinion it would be helpful if owners of all properties listed with booking.com could provide a layout plan.

The chateau offers large, modern and clean apartments. The grounds are spectacular. We really enjoyed wandering around. The chateau is conveniently located close to a lot of different sites and the beach. There is also a great bakery in a walking distance, next to the chateau.
