Beetje ouderwets gedateerd hotel in een ongezellige buurt

Het ontbijt bij dit hotel is op zich prima maar iedere dag precies hetzelfde. Koffie uit de automaat is erg slap, vruchtensap heel erg uit een pak.

Bij het zwembad ontbreekt het aan iedere vorm van sfeer en luxe. De bar is buiten gebruik. het geheel oogt wat verwaarloost. Op de kamer ontbreekt een koelkastje terwijl deze wel vermeld staat. Het personeel zorgt wel voor een emmer ijs als je daar om vraagt. Onze airco was kapot, gemeld maar er is niet aan gedaan. De tuin oogt ook erg verwaarloost

Netter Aufenthalt in einem in die Jahre gekommenen Hotel

Sehr freundliches Personal ! Ausreichende Auswahl zum Frühstück, sehr gutes Obstangebot ! Es wurde aufgefüllt und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr aufmerksam !

Nos encantaría volver en un futuro proximo

La habitación y el baño amplios y cómodos. El desayuno bastante variado. La piscina y las vistas muy muy muy top. Garaje incluido... Me sentí muy segura

Se podría mejorar el agua caliente en el baño... Sale caliente pero muy poca y la television solo tenia un canal en español... Posiblidad de Amazon Prime sería estupendo.

Amazing stay with a jasmine scented garden :)

Our stay was excellent from the moment we arrived at the hotel thanks to the superfriendly receptionist Ana, who was extremely helpful and always smiling- thank you so much, you are doing an amazing job:) Our room was everything we could wish for, it was very spacious, with a balcony and garden view, large, comfortable bed, massive wardrobe. The bathroom was big and fully equipped, daily cleaning service was provided. A very important thing was that we could relax in complete comfort and peace after an intensive day trekking as the hotel was very quiet and in an excellent location-you couldn't hear anything from the corridor or surrounding rooms. Parking is very convenient, there are parking spaces directly outside and also in the underground carpark. It was also very handy to have a big supermarket close to the hotel. The hotel itself had a large garden full of beautiful flowers which smelt wonderful. Breakfast was another highlight with a very warm welcome from Tania who was always is a great mood and responded immediately to any requests. She was always happy to help and always managed to find time to speak to the customers. Food was very good and fresh with a great amount of choice from continental to English breakfast and fresh fruit daily, the restaurant itself had really pleasant surroundings with general seating inside and outside. Another highlight was a supercute cat Tadeo who comes to the restaurant at breakfast time just to say hello :) We were very pleased with our stay and fully intend to come back :) Thank you :)

We would prefer 1 large mattress instead of 2 single ones

Comfy and chique hotel

Perfect stay in a beautifull appartment just outside of Funchal, very friendly staff (especcially the lovely girl from the reception) and comfy beds. The hotel has a perfect swimmingpool, sauna and delicious restaurant. There is even a parking garage under the hotel. Highly recommended!

there was a little leakage in the corridor and in the room are to less power points for elektric.

The room is large and spacious. From the room on the lower floor there is a view of the beautiful garden. A very tasty and varied breakfast. Parking is comfortable, on site hotel (not covered) at the entrance.

It was a beautiful backyard and garden, but it looked like no one had improved anything there in recent years. The jungle. Breakfast as a bonus that it is offered

The cleanliness of the rooms is unsatisfactory. A bathroom full of insects. I would recommend making sure that the bathroom furniture is not already overgrown with mold (because it is made of wooden plywood). Feeling as if you were back in time in the 70s+. There was a choice for breakfast, but we didn't risk anything from vegetables and fruits - withered, half-dried. It looked like from the previous days. But the view for breakfast and the atmosphere is pleasant. A visual improvement is needed and the hotel would be reborn.

if you aren't looking for a ******-hotel, just book and be happy

parking lots in front of the hotel (if ever full, there is also public parking nearby), bathtub, breakfast exceptional, they had pool and sauna. Beds comfortable and different kinds of pillows. Bars, restaurants and huge supermarket nearby.

position of power sockets (for recharging electrical devices) was far away from bed

peaceful atmosphere despite high season; lovely pool area; old but charming property and rooms; beautiful garden; basic

charming colonial style building where breakfast was served; the pool was fresh and enjoyed its surroundings; nice garden and greenery; friendly breakfast lady; very quiet and relaxed atmosphere; fresh air (could sleep with balcony door open without needing AC); the views are ok (gorgeous overlooking the sea but the large supermarket and road on the other side); convenient indoor parking (be prepared for steep hills though)

the property is oldish, definitely seen its best days but still without being shabby; very few services available at the hotel (e.g no bottled water available for purchase, no minibar, no fridge in the room - so no possibility of a cold drink in the room or by the pool even if there’s a big supermarket just across the street which unfortunately does not have many chilled drinks either); small ants in the room which however were not much of a nuisance except if leaving fruits on the table

Overall hotel service excellent I will visit a gain

I really liked the rooms because I was able to access my kids. Breakfast was excellent the lady served us breakfast had good customer service and she was approachable. The location of the hotel excellent in quiet environment and friendly neighbourhood. I enjoyed sauna all receptionist very kind and ready to help they made me feel at home they were all brilliant very kind friendly and willing to help. I really recommend this hotel the sea view to all rooms perfect. Swimming pool very clean. I like the supper maket

No fridge in the room small fridge can make a difference No iron + ironing board Air conditioning was not working on hot days we failed to sleep We had a problem with one of the toilet but was fixed No kettle in the room but when we asked for it the receptionist provided it I don't remember her name but she was fantastic and all other receptionist helped us with ice any time we need ice. On our last day we saw a cockroach which made us jump. Food a bit expensive my advise pay before you travel Gym not open

Staff were always friendly and helpful. Pool was excelllent.

Excellent breakfasts, For evening meals, the service and ambience for both Bacchus and Adiga was good but the food for the buffet at Bacchus was ordinary and not very warm, and the price was high. The food at Adiga was very poor, sometimes almost uneatable

Quality of evening meals (as above); It would be helpful if the courtesy bus could drop residents in the centre of Funchal and not at Quinta Sai Tiago.
