The location and parking is very good.
The check in was quick and efficient.
The room and factiliies in the room were very good.
The lifts were terrible we had serious problems accessing the rooms and used the stairs. The queing at the the bar area due to lack of staff was disappointing especially in a large hotel. The room air conditioning unit was too noisey. The building and decor is starting to look a bit tired.
4.1
Very good breakfast and location
The safe door could not open fully as it hit the wardrobe sliding doors. The hot water at 7pm in the shower was a trickle and let out a high pitch whine from the mixer tap. The air-conditioning from the adjacent room was too loud at night. The lifts were playing up.

Big & airy & well equipped
Good sized rooms & helpful staff.

great bed - very comfortable and lots of space. general decor and atmosphere of the hotel was great too.
our toilet struggled to flush properly.
there were no vegan meat alternative options at breakfast which made the cooked breakfast very limited.

All staff were very friendly and happy to help, not once did we walk past a member of staff that didn’t say hi to us with a smile. The food was delicious and the whole hotel was very clean and tidy at all times of the day! Enjoyed our stay that much, we have cancelled our next hotel booking to book into the crowne plaza!

What a hotel! We stayed here to go to a concert at the hydro and wondering why I’ve never stayed here before! 2 second walk from the venue, amazing food, kind staff and stunning rooms! Will definitely be back!
The pool wasn’t open when we were staying which is disappointing but still didn’t ruin our time!

Location and staff excellent
In need of decor update, rooms are very tired.

An absolutely fantastic hotel, staff are so helpful, it is spotless and great ambiance.
The views from our room were amazing.
4.1
Proximity to the hydro was very good. Staff here are absolutely excellent , some of the best we have ever encountered .
The complimentary mini bar and fridge were a nice addition and really handy
Toiletries were of a really nice quality
Linen was clean and fresh
Bed was super comfy, just like our bed at home.
Slippers and robes were lovely.
Usb sockets, very good.
Club lounge was good
We booked the 1 bedroomed suite and it was grubby. There was dust on surfaces, marks on walls. Clearly housekeeping had wiped the fronts of surfaces but not behind, inside or underneath anything.
The decor was so tired, really quite shabby. The recliner chair and footstool felt dirty, sofa similarly had a grubby look and feeling about it.
The windows were dirty on the inside
The mirror placement was poor. There was a mirror inside the wardrobe, one above where we put the coffee/tea making tray, and a small one above the sink in the bathroom.
my wife had to blow-dry her long hair over the top of kettle and mugs, then go into the bathroom to put her make up on, balancing the makeup-bag on the closed toilet seat. There was no dressing table or vanity shelf. It is a very poorly thought out layout.
Our keycards needed re setting at least twice a day, meaning an inconvenient trip down to reception each time!
The air conditioning was awful. It was SO unbearably loud that we had to turn it off meaning it was too warm. I mentioned this to staff who organised a fan for the bedroom which helped somewhat.
We heard similar experiences from others staying the same weekend. This hotel is sorely needing some TLC
Would we recommend this hotel? No, we're sorry to say unfortunately not. There are better choices nearby

Staff were amazing, room was stunning great view and vip lounge was excellent. Fantastic way to spend our 15th anniversary
The food at the restaurant for me was ok. Gluten free meals ltd and unfortunately the fish and chips didn’t sit well with me. Staff were excellent though can’t fault this.
4.1
Great location and clean rooms. Staff very lovely.
Extortionate price because there was an event on at the hydro that didn’t include breakfast. Room was also far too hot and air conditioning did nothing.

Upon arrival your welcomed with a free glass of wine which was a nice touch, We stayed in the suite with access to the club lounge, as their was 4 of us we were seeing The Killers at the OVO arena 4 min walk away ( 2 parents and 22 yr and a 17yr) brother and sister shared the sofa bed, but they said the the mattress was thin and you could feel the springs and you rolled into the middle, the club lounge has free drinks tea coffee pop, and alcohol is available at a certain time with hot and cold canapé with amazing views of the river and they had the match on the TV for anyone who wanted to watch it. It's very relaxing, we didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food. The bar was still open for people coming from the concert which was nice. I would definitely be back again. The suite did have 2 bathrobes and slippers to use in the facilities don't know why we didn't have 4 and they knew the ages of our son and daughter, we could have probably asked at the reception and got a extra 2 but it was fine. And you do get giving towels to use in the pool you don't need to take them down from the room.

Liked having ample parking and staff were friendly, with lovely breakfast. We were also offered the upgrade to the lounge. We were visiting family so location was great. Take That were playing at the Hydro and even though the hotel was busy there was not a lot of noise overnight.
The cost of an overnight stay.

The staff ! Very attentive and made us feel very welcome
Room was a little tired
4.1
Excellent facilities, very comfortable rooms which were really quiet and peaceful. On site parking was really good with easy access to the hotel. A lovely warm welcome from Mohamed at check in got us off to a perfect start to our stay.
Nothing we didn’t like.
4.1
Lovely breakfast, lots of variety. Hot food was great - perfect tattie scones :)
Great parking facilities, fantastic room
The sofa bed in the suite wasn’t great quality. It could do with a sturdier mattress as you could feel the frame through it. The dinner was fine however service was so slow. The servers seemed very inexperienced.

When we come to Glasgow we always stay at the Crowne Plaza. We love it it’s so relaxing, you get a warm welcome from reception staff and the bar staff etc all work so hard. Nothing is too much trouble and the service is excellent
There’s nothing we didn’t like

Excellent location

Some girls at the reception and the concierge were very friendly. I also liked the fact that they had staff with disabilities employed. That shows character
The lift stuck twice on me. There was only an alarm button in the lift, but not actually a phone. My room door didn’t shut properly which led to the cleaning staff leaving it open for anyone to just have come in and steal my valuables. The bathroom and hotel room was dirty and had fungus.
4.1
Location was ideal, concierges were the most lovely members of staff, room was okay but not what was requested.
Lifts were broken, breakfast was disorganised, no twin beds in the room (requested in the booking) broken light in the room, staff not very communicative and did not seem confident in their role when dealing with customers.
4.1
Staff were overworked- food was fine
I didn't get to check into my room until after the concert I attended. My luggage was only taken into storage after I had complained- this was at 6.30 when doors opening for concert. We didn't get access to room to change/ freshen up and at no point did staff offer any apology for very long slow queue to register and get room allocation. I would never advise anyone who is attending concerts to stay at this venue. So disappointed

Breakfast & dinner were very good, but was not in our deal as daughter bkt for me!
Could of got better deal with other company's.
Know problem with hotel, just booking. com.
Wasn't best deal, had to pay for all meals& that made it expensive! Was special birthday treat, girl on the desk gave me a drink on hotel. Njoyd that!!!

Location is familiar to me and worked for the meetings I had the following day. Having stayed there before I knew what to expect. This hotel is busy when there is a concert on and I often stay there for concerts myself so don’t mind the buzz that creates.

Great breakfast buffet although it’s a bit of a free for all trying to get a table. The room was a decent size and the TV, mirror lights and air conditioning were all in working order.
The pillows were extremely dense, not to my liking. Also our double bed was only covered by a sheet with a single duvet inside it!
4.1
Very nice hotel, looks new and modern. With friendly staffs, good facilities (gym, swim pool, steam and sauna), also the restaurants and bar.
4.1
Great location, clean and pleasant rooms, nice bar area, excellent breakfast.
Bar very busy (in the afternoon) so unable to order cocktails. Breakfast service very busy with long queues, and had to sit in side room which wasn't as pleasant as main restaurant area.
4.1
Great location staff excellent
Noisy neighbours 12midnight 3am 4am doors slamming not staffs fault but ruined our stay.
4.1
Hotel was nice and well presented and good facilities.
Very clean and tidy.
Great location for access to the SECC
Parking was £9.50 per day which should really be included in the price of a room.
Bar and restaurant was a little overpriced for what you were served with.
Room we stayed in was near the lifts and there was an obvious mechanical fault that caused screeching and groaning throughout the night. Very busy night so persevered and brought up with staff in the morning only to be dismissed and it was our fault for booking a room and the room being assigned to us was near the lifts.
Not even slightly worth the £220 we paid for an upgraded room staying 1 night.
4.1
Loved location food facilities staff lovely service good in all departments.
We chose to be upgraded and the room was lovely howevrr it was on the top floor near a plant room and the noise disturbed our sleep so much so that we asked to change rooms in the middle of the night.
