Clean and comfortable
Close to my work place
4.2

Great place to stay, very friendly staff, exceptionally beautiful room, highly comfortable bed, functional and beautiful bathroom. A place to relax and also to work.
Breakfast vouchers for Greggs. If not providing breakfast why not come down with the price OR if you provide vouchers, then make some vouchers that can be used in any of the multiple, independent, locally run coffee shops in town supporting local businesses that are paying taxes and supporting local customers in return. It's not rocket science.

All new interior and pretty high quality.
Nothing comes to mind

It was clean and warm staff were friendly
Customer service is awful had an issue with the people in the next room playing loud music all night was kept awake no one to report it to tried to contact them
Via email , phone and text the next day so I could get moved before I got back that evening as I was working they did not respond in anyway causing me to be concerned they would still be in the room that night

Cosy but modern
Nobody on reception only on check in

The staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were beautiful and very surprisingly chic.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will 100% be back

Lovely apartment for 6. Very comfortable and great value for money

The room was modern and spacious, with comfortable beds.
The access to the bathroom was very tight! with a radiator one side of the doorway and the sink behind, which meant the door would not open fully.

Modern
Comfy bed and pillows
Spacious room
Central location
Breakfast!!!!! You are given one £5 Greggs voucher for breakfast per room irrespective of the mumber of guests. There were two of us and a Bacon roll and a tea as per the advert comes to over £5 so voucher does not cover breakfast. Given the hotel is more expensive than others in the area, this is very poor.
Bar food - I had curry and rice but my rice was burnt (black) so had to send back. My mother’s vegan meatballs and pasta was also burnt, sent back, returned the same meatballs but under the pasta with dressing on top to hide it. Very poor! Didn’t eat there again.
Our room (13) was too hot unlike our family in other rooms
Shower had not been cleaned properly. Soap scum on tray and screen had soap marks down it.
Reception not manned. Had to go to bar to get checked in
No quiet seating area apart from 2 single chairs in reception
Noisy

Modern, spacious enough well equipped room with extra touches. Pub side closes early enough not to be a nuisance. Breakfast voucher is a good idea.
Room with tiny window has limited appeal. My request not replied to. Staff nice but didn't seem to be familiar with the accomodation side. Basic mattress. The hallway floor amplifies the sound, it was like elephants walking in the corridor and the creaky hallway door didn't help.

It had a bed.
Parking was an issue, loud music till 23.45, booked a bistro because we enjoy a cooked breakfast, no breakfast available but a £5 Greggs gift card offered . . to share. Taped up plug socket, being dragged through a packed pub to book in.

Friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful room very clean and well appointed. Good food in the restaurant

From check in, room, drinks, food, service and comfort of the bed everything was perfect. Even the price of drinks and food was excellent. This hotel is in the village of my birth, but we completely felt like we were on holiday and I can't even express how proud I feel of the Cardiff Arms. It really is the jewel in the Crown for Treorchy and well done to the owners and staff, everyone was so professional and yet, friendly and helpful.

Manager really welcoming chef knocked us some free bowls of chips up food was great really nice pizza. Staff were great really recommend will be stopping again
Gets very busy so book early which isn't a bad thing it was a great atmosphere but tables get taken up

Everything. It was very nice. High quality finish to everything. Quirky lobby.
Nothing. If I was going to be over critical, then may the odd bit of colour as the room was mostly black and white. But that’s just me! Wouldn’t change anything else!

Lovely location in a fabulous village. Room was well sized and modern .Good bistro/pub downstairs .Located on the high street so anything you need - chemist/supemarket etc is nearby . Lovely locals !
Pub/Bistro staff are the people who will check you in and deal with any issues , they were all pleasant but also very busy working at their job so no- one is dedicated to the hotel side of things (that we saw anyway).
No phone in room to call with any issues , no one answering phone in pub (when we called) so you have to go down all the way back into the pub to report any issues or for anything you need.
Lumpy bed , Very bad kettle which I burnt my hand on (water pours out unevenly). No fridge in room .

The staff were helpful and seemed happy in their work. Happy to answer questions when asked. The whole place was clean, rooms and bar and bistro area.
Been refurbished with an industrial theme. Light and airy in the pub/bistro area
The bathrooms too small and dark. No shelf for toiletries. Towel rail too high for me to reach
No breakfast offered just Greggs vouchers, which we never got anyway. Have been asking for refund for one night which was promised. Still waiting after various emails

2nd time staying here
Friendly staff
Like the apartment at the top as sleeps all of us comfortably
4.2
No breakfast offered but plenty of good cafes in short/easy walking distance.
Bar and Bistro good value and very handy.
Lovely room.
4.2
Brilliant location for our requirements. Superbly decorated rooms.
Helpful staff with the need to replace room keys, show us the rooms.
My only niggle was the noise from the road, but not disastrous as I had ear plugs! 😉
4.2
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Food lovely, bear garden front and rear.
Shower great!
Bed comfy.

Friendly staff, great location. Room was MASSIVE, very clean with everything you would need for a short stay.Stayed a couple of times now and will be back again later in the year.
Bed wasn't the comfiest, it was huge but not very comfy. However my largest grumble is where were the bloody Welsh cakes?!?.. last time I visited there was a wee pack of Welsh cakes with the tea and coffee. This time it was caramel waffles! ...I'm in Wales I want Welsh cakes please! Could also do with getting the side door fixed as only being able to enter through the bar is a bit annoying.

Staff food and room are great here BUT
Although the room, staff and food were great, as always we were placed opposite a group of girls who decided to party until 3am.
I did contact reception at midnight and then I knocked at 3am.
If we had known that they were a party of girls celebrating a birthday then I would have asked for another room.
