We love staying at the Adelaide Inn and will continue to book there. The location is excellent. Close to Adelaide Oval, restaurants, bars, and the famous O'Connell St 24 hour bakery is pretty much next door. It's family friendly and having breakfast included is a bonus for us. The staff are excellent and give it a welcoming feel.
The decor in the rooms could definitely do with an update, but they're always clean and comfortable so it's not really worth mentioning. The whole place has a bit of a retro vibe so I just look at the decor as in keeping with the rest of the Adelaide Inn.
4.1
Room clean & bed comfortable
Air conditioner poor

Firstly, for a pet friendly hotel, they charge $50 per night per pet. The room was NOT sound proof as advertised. They have 1 disability carpark and charge extra for that too. (Illegal) the breakfast is cereal. Want cooked? Pay extra. I'd steer clear of this sad excuse for a Inn.
Nothing

Great location for food
Room is a little out dated could do with a freshen up, painful with a Shower over bath but only spent 1 night before moving on.

Great location, clean rooms and accomodating to pet dog!
Nothing it was great!
4.1
The room was comfortable and clean, with a classic feel. The hotel is in an excellent location. It's in walking distance to a heap of restaurants, so there are lots of eating options.
Noise travelled from the reception area so it was a bit hard to sleep. There was no lift so we had to carry all our cases up the stairs. You have to pay for parking if there isn't a spot available in their free parking spots.
4.1
Excellent stay, a bit gutted we did not have longer as there were other facilities that we did not explore. Breakfast was one of the best we had the entire trip.
Parking when we did have a car, you have to pay if you don't rush for the select free spaces
4.1
The service from the staff
The noise from people walking past on the street.

4.1
Large amount of space.
The light didn’t work at the dressing table.
No tv in the master room.
A dimmer on the main light switch would be nice.
Fridge is very poor.

The staff were very friendly on arrival. The location was perfect for our purpose. We were attending a birthday dinner at Beyond India which was right next door.
Rooms were a little small and outdated. Really don't like having to climb into and out of a bath to have a shower, being short it is VERY difficult and definitely not safe. The breakfast wasn't very good and the one staff member facing the public was over run.

Overall the whole room was great. The fridge was a nice edition
Only thing that I felt was needed that wasn't there was the flusher on the toilet was pretty useless so a scrubber or spray to make it smell nicer would have been good to have. Everything else was amazing

friendly and helpful staff. went above and beyond to assist us.

The location was good, and the room and bed were comfortable and well appointed. The dining room and breakfast were of high standard as was the service given by the staff in the dining room.
I wasn't told until after I had completed my booking that a car park had to be booked in advance. And then, when I tried to book a car park I was told none were available for the Saturday night, so I paid $10 for a car park for the Sunday night only, knowing I would not arrive back at the motel until sometime after 9pm. As a woman on my own I preferred an on-site car park for safety reasons. When I arrived back at the motel Sunday evening there were no available car parks at all, allocated as reserved or otherwise; a distinctive yellow car was in the car park that had been allotted to me and paid for by me. I took several photos and received a refund, but I was not happy about either the inconvenience or risk.

food was ok.
I called to inform them that we were checking in late. Arrived and the swipe card did not work to get into the building. had to wait for the security guard to arrive before we could get in.
washing machine and dryer over priced and the dryer did not dry our clothes.

Location was wonderful being on O'Connell Street is such a bonus and if you get in early the allocated car parking is good.
The price hike because of the long weekend and the festivals. $300 a night was a bit rich. We went to visit friends not the festivals.

The staff were really lovely
The beds were extremely uncomfortable. They need to buy new mattresses. We stayed five nights and our room was never cleaned throughout the stay. This meant it wasn’t that pleasant by the end
