We had a wonderful stay in San Ignacio! Great city with lots to do in the area. This house was a perfect landing spot for our family. The house is spacious and comfortable for a family with kids. The pool is a major bonus as it helped us keep cool on hot days. Terry was wonderful to work with. She was responsive throughout our time there anytime we had questions. I highly recommend staying here to enjoy the San Ignacio area!

The property was great. It fit are needs. Terry was friendly and helpful. The wild fires smoke obscured any view we might of enjoyed(not the property fault). We would recommend it.

We stayed at Terry's house for a portion of our trip. The location was a ways up the hill which was perfect for us. The neighborhood was clean and quiet and the views were fantastic. After exploring the area during the day it was refreshing to comeback and watch the sunset from the pool.
5.0
Great location close to town and sites. Owner has a tour company-Cayo Inland Adventure tours which we used to go on excellent excursions. You get a discount if staying at the house. The house was clean with lots of amenities and a refreshing pool for cooling off during the hot days.

Our family of six (2 adults, 4 kids) stayed here for three nights in March 2024. The house had everything we needed. Wi-Fi worked well. There is a covered parking spot right by the entrance. The neighborhood felt very safe with a good amount of privacy. The highlight for our kids was the pool - it was just the right temperature and very clean. Although, we mostly drove to town to eat at restaurants, the kitchen seemed to be well equipped. Terry was a super nice, helpful, and communicative host. We would definitely stay here again.

This house was a perfect choice for our family of four. Terry was so gracious and helpful during our visit. We also booked two full days of tours with the hosts' company - Cayo Inland Expedition - and had two fantastic days. The pool in the backyard was great for cooling off after hot days, and we saw lots of wildlife from the deck too (green parrots, iguanas, and a Pygmy owl!) Easy walk into town for some great restaurants and it was quiet at night in the air conditioned bedrooms. Highly recommend this listing!

Our stay was perfect! Our host, Terry is wonderful and truly took care of us. Her home is cozy and exactly as pictured. My son and I enjoyed the hammocks as they are situated perfectly to immerse you in the natural surroundings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed. In addition to welcoming us generously, Terry's tour company provided us with the kindest tour guides and reliable transportation to the house and she recommended the most amazing Maya site tour, Tikal, in Guatemala. Overall, just perfect - if it sounds too good to be true - I encourage you to discover for yourself!

As advertised . Close to everything . Pool was great for cool off after days activities

I have never felt so welcomed and at home at a vacation rental! Terry went out of her way to make sure we had tips, recommendations and everything we needed for the home and stay. Welcoming us with some local snacks and drinks and being just a call away if we needed anything at all.
The location was amazing/ just blocks from groceries, gas station and town!
The bedroom AC units kept us plenty chilly at night and the rest of the house had so much air movement it was always comfy! We wish we would have had another day or two to enjoy the country and the house amenities more! Staying in San Ignacio and with Terry were the highlight of our trip for all 7 of us from ages 4-76. Highly recommend!

It was great having the space to make a few meals, play cards, watch a movie and chill-out and take a dip in the pool after our days exploring the area. Helen's grocery store is conveniently close by. We had a vehicle which gave us the freedom to do day trips to nearby ruins, caves, waterfalls and butterfly conservatory. Terri was a great hostess.

The host went out her way to make us comfortable. The house had everything that one needed for a comfortable stay

Lots of beds for a big family. Very clean.
Terry and John handled everything for us. Transportation, tours, and house. Very convenient!

Lovely property. Owners close by should quests need anything. Comfortable beds, laundry facilities on site. Beautiful view. Transportation easy to find or walking is a choice also. Pool was refreshing and a welcome cool off after visiting the ruins in Belize.

We enjoyed our stay here while in San Ignacio. We booked with Terry for our transportation to and from here which was great. Kids loved having the pool. We loved the location, was a little outside of the main area and still in walking distance. It was easy to get a taxi if needed.

We had an amazing time while in San Ignacio and Terry and Jo was amazing hosts! We highly recommend booking the ATM cave and Maya Ruins tour with them. Our guides we David and Hector. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Also, booking through the VRBO allowed us to tour just the three of us so it was very personalized.

We loved staying here, and their ATM tour was fantastic

The house is comfortable and well stocked with everything needed. The host, Terry, is wonderful. She met us when we arrived and brought us some welcome items (local beer, soda, fresh bananas, plantain chips, etc). A nice touch to experience local items. She was helpful with recommendations and directions. The bedrooms are large and the AC worked great in each bedroom. The main part of the house has no AC, but there are ceiling fans and floor fans. Having access to a washer and dryer was very helpful as well. Great property and host!

We would highly recommend staying at Terry's house in San Ignacio. We are a family of 5 and it was wonderful to have space to spread out and to be able to use the fully stocked kitchen (with ample filtered water). The pool was lovely to cool off in and the hammocks on the two decks were also wonderful. The house itself was very comfortable and clean. The AC units in the bedroom were great and the fans in the living area made it a comfortable temperature. While not right in town there was a grocery store just down the hill and it was an easy 20 minute walk into the heart of town (uphill on the way back but a simple cab ride makes it a 5 minute drive away). We walked to the Cahal Pec ruins in 10 minutes (highly recommended) and got a taxi driver's number from Terry to pick us up and take us to the Xunantunich ruins (only a 15 minute drive away). We loved exploring them on our own, but you could also ask Terry to arrange a tour for you through her tour company. We had her tour company (Cayo Inland Expeditions) arrange our transfer from the water taxi to the house and back to the airport. We even had added a cave tubing tour on to our transfer and loved every minute! It made the travel from Caye Caulker to San Ignacio feel like a private tour and not just a travel day. Terry also arranged a day tour to Tikal for us. It was an amazing day and we would HIGHLY recommend it! Tikal was only 2 hours away. Everything went smoothly! We loved every minute of staying here!!

The house is a fantastic choice for staying in San Ignacio. It is spacious and well maintained.
The highlights are the pool which was ideal for cooking off after a day sightseeing, and the views across the valley.
The bedrooms are air conditioned and the house is very well equipped (it even has a kettle for us British tea drinkers!)
It is in a quiet area with no traffic or 'human' noise but plenty of bird song.
Terry, the owner, is very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.
Be aware that it is up a steep hill from the town. We did walk down on our first night (about 20 mins) but got a cab back ($20 BZ). We drove after that.

This is a 5 star set up.. The owner/host is amazing and took such good care of us. We did a couple of tours with them which could not have been easier and worth every penny. Do not hesitate to book as this could not have been more perfect...Thankyou so much for having us and this was a memory we will never forget... You are the best..

The house was as advertised. It was clean and the owner met us there upon arrival. It is close to town and shopping. The pool was clean and cool. The AC in the bedrooms worked great but to be clear there is no AC in the common areas.
The owner Terry also owns Cayo Inland Adventures. We did the ATM tour one day and the river waterfall tour the next. They picked us up at the house for both. They were both great.

The house was very nice and the pool was a refreshing perk.

This house was more in every way than we ever expected! Terry checked in with us at least once daily and even took us into town for a special meal the last night. Her suggestions of what to do were right on. She is ultra professional as well as accommodating. The pool is pristine. Each bedroom has its own ac unit to customize.
That John Paul runs a tour company cannot be understated. We have been to belize before but hands down rate these tours superior to prior tours. Onil, the tour guide, went far beyond what you might expect - he was educational and conversational not only for the tours but the transit to/from the airport and the longer rides to more distant sites. The highlight for us was his amazing knowledge of the caracol site and the Crystal cave. It's difficult to describe how much he invested in our family. We are so grateful.

Great communication with the host. Very welcoming with cold beer and soda and plantains waiting for us. Relaxing and refreshing pool for the afternoons. We were in San Ignacio during hotter than normal temps and the ac in the bedrooms were a lifesaver. Terrific location, close to town and great restaurants. We took several adventure tours from this location, which was super convenient as the owner lives next door. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Terry's & JP's home in San Ignacio. Although hot and humid during our stay, each bedroom has AC and the pool really helps keep things comfortable. While not within walking distance of the town center, it's an easy enough drive and the restaurants are well worth it. A grocery store is just down the hill, and we were able to fix many meals in house.
Note that we had to drive around a bit to find the house and knowing what it looked like really helped. Best to arrive during daylight. Also, Terry and JP live in the house next door so issues can be quickly dealt with.
In short, a great house to use as a base to explore the Cayo District (Terry can help there too with her excellent tour company).

We spent our days exploring Belize and Guatemala. It felt great to come home to a spacious house and take a refreshing dip in the pool. We loved the open floor plan and the connection to nature that the house provided. If you like tropical birds then you will enjoy the bird calls from dawn to dusk. The view from the two decks were incredible day and night. We had an incredible trip!

I am a Travel agent so am very familiar with great service standards when I receive them and this Host Terry as well as this property was an excellent experience from start to finish.
This properties location was perfect, close to San Ignacio town so everythign was super close by , our Host Terry is wonderful she booked us a Private tour to Tikal thru her tour company ( highly recommend ) for my Mom's 70th birthday celebration . The home is spotless clean, has a nice pool for those afternoons when you get back from exploring nice way to cool off.
She also brought us over a nice welcome package of refreshments the first evening we checked in.
Overall I would and will work with her again and cant wait to use her services in the future

House was gorgeous, incredibly clean, well stocked and pretty close to everything. The host was knowledgeable and had good suggestions. There was even a welcome beer, plenty of towels and the shower had great pressure and got really warm. Air conditioning worked well.
I would not however, stay here again. We let them know we were going to dinner and in the hour we were gone, something worrisome happened. There was a locked metal door to an upstairs balcony and a second door that was wooden that was open when we initially arrived. We kept it how we found it, but when we got back from dinner, a chair was moved and the wooden door was shut and bolted. I can only assume the host entered when we were gone, as the rest of the house was locked. Nothing was taken, but clearly a violation.
We also booked a tour through them since they said they'd give us the best deal since they owned the company. We noticed everyone else on the tour paid $20 usd less than us though.
Great area, highly recommend for excursions, and there are a lot of great options for adventure and lodging.

This home was perfect for my family! The home was clean, secure, and spacious for our party of 6. We loved the private pool and very much enjoyed sitting on the deck in the afternoon and evening. We are so glad we chose to stay at this property!

The property is exactly as pictured. The view is fantastic and we really enjoyed the pool on hot afternoons. What makes this property stand out is the amazing host. Terry goes the extra mile to make sure her guests have everything they need. She also arranged two excursions and transportation for our group and they were also wonderful.

We loved this rental! It has a fabulous view of the San Ignacio valley with lots of shade. It was great to have the above ground pool to cool off in. There were individual air conditioning units in the bedrooms, if we needed it to sleep. However, two of our four nights, the evening was cool enough to just keep the windows open.
San Ignacio has several eating options that are quite inexpensive, so we would eat our breakfast in the house and eat out for lunch and dinner.
As for activities, we did Cahal Pech, walking there from the house, although it was a 400m uphill walk after walking downhill from the house. We also would recommend the Green Iguana Project (great!), the AJAW Chocolate experience, Xunantunich (only a 20 min drive away), and the ATM cave tour (Terry arranged this for us). We loved this adventure!

This was a fantastic spot with a wonderful view of the entire valley below. Pool in the back was clean and so nice to cool off in after a long day in the jungle. Showers all had shampoo, conditioner and soap. Laundry detergent for the washer and everything was clean and tidy. Terry was super responsive and attended to our every need. She arranged two tours for us and we were picked up and dropped off right at the house, it was perfect! We highly recommend this home and would stay again!

Terry was a phenomenal host. Great communication before and during our stay. She also coordinated our Tikal and River Cruise tours - both were excellent. She was very accommodating for a few special requests as well. The house has all the basic amenities. We especially enjoyed the pool after several hot days touring in the area!

We enjoyed our stay everything was exactly as presented in the pictures on VRBO. Terry was great she goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable happy. She also coordinated our excursion to the ATM caves. If you’ve never done it i highly recommend. We were concerned as my husband has a bad hip and our friend is afraid of tight spaces. Terry said the tour guides would take care of us and Hector not only gave us, “One heck of a tour”, but he took care of us as well!
Thank you so much for taking care of us we’ll be back!

Our family of nine had plenty of room and enjoyed the views and hammocks. Terri was an excellent host and had welcome beverages and fruit for us. House is close to grocery and downtown for lots of good eating choices. Would loved to have had more time to explore. Best part of the stay was trip arranged with their tour company. Cave tubing and ziplining was amazing. Don’t miss. It is also near several Mayan ruins and we visited one on our way out of the area.

A wonderfully equipped house. Very comfortable place, everything we needed to cook, relax and enjoy. The beds were super comfy too! Our host was fabulous, they also have own a tour business so we were able to do the ATM Cave tour which I would say is a “ must do bucket list”. They hooked us up with a mechanic to fix our brakes while on our tour. Great experience and I would highly recommend. We’ll be back!

This place was great for my family of 5. Plenty of room for everyone to hang out together or separately. Did 2 tours arranged by Terri and neither was a disappointment. There was a convenience store close by although it is uphill to get back. Love the area and come every time I’ve had the wonderful chance to visit Belize. There were hammocks to enjoy ( a must for me) and the house was great to come back to after a day of activities. The house was very clean and the A/C was used for only one night but got the master bedroom cold quickly. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Terry was easy to communicate with. She responded to all my questions promptly. The house is as pictured, plenty of room to spread out, beds are comfy, kitchen is well stocked, there's a washer/dryer with detergent provided. We didn't use the pool,as it was pretty cool out, and rainy. Terry and her husband welcomed us with snacks, and have us tips of places to visit in the area. They set up our ATM cave tour (this is a must do for sure!).
Couple of things to note. In general the area is fairly quiet, except for the dog next door who barks a lot, and the Christmas fireworks going off all night. It was hard to find things to do around Christmas time. Most restaurants/stores were closed, as well as most activities we thought of doing. We did walk over to visit Cahal Pech (beautiful, and a short walk from the house). We drove to Xunantunich as well (this is easy to do by yourself). We also drove to big rock falls, a short and pretty hike. There are many things to visit within a couple hours drive from here. Thank you for hosting us, Terry!

Like someone else said, difficulty finding the place and keys were not in the lock box. Fortunately, the owner lives next door and quickly brought them over.
This house was well equipped with towels and shower supplies and large jugs of potable water. Lucky for us, they had a washer/dryer which we took advantage of, just be careful, the step down into the laundry room is easy to miss (which I did).
The owners (and their dog, Luna) were super sweet. They arranged an excursion river tubing and zip lining for our boys with O’Neal (sp?) and they had a blast.
Something we have found helpful in other rentals, which would have been helpful here, is a small binder with local information, such as nearby attractions and restaurants.
Overall though, we had a fabulous time, the house was conveniently located, and we would definitely recommend.
5.0
After some initial confusion locating the home, everything went great. There was a small plumbing issue midway through our stay but it was delt with while we were out for the day.
Terry and John Paul were wonderful. They live right next door but stayed completely out of our business. It was comforting having them nearby in case of an emergency.
There was a nice little yard behind the house where we watched parrots and hummingbirds in the trees.
The beds were comfortable and the air conditioned rooms were a refreshing place to sleep after a tropical day.
The house felt very secure and safe. We didn't worry about our belongings when we went out for the day.
There was a grocery store nearby and downtown San Ignacio with all of it's restaurants and shopping was just a 5 minute drive away.
We would reccommended this rental home.
