The location of this house is amazing and can’t be beat if you are looking a lake vacation.

We love Lake Eden as I am from there. We still go back in the summers and have stayed here more than once since I was a little girl. It is the most beautiful spot on the lake. The house is delightful!

Although the weather did not really cooperate (rained for the first 2 days), we still found the home cozy, peaceful and and the area serene. A beautiful location right on the lake. We go once a year with our four wheelers to northern Vermont and this was a great riding area. Lots of trails with stops along the way (Parker Pies, Bakersfield, Morgan Store). Jim and his wife were there when we arrived. Very nice people. Would recommend to hikers, ATV'ers, and just folks who want to get away. PS. The lake was extremely cold to swim in. Tried fishing, no catching.

We visited for a weekend, to attend a local graduation. The house is lovingly cared for - immaculate, well appointed, and in a serene setting. Jim is lovely, too. The grounds and dock are great and the water looks crystal clear. I would recommend this rental without hesitation.

Quaint cottage at the end of a peninsula on Lake Eden. Beautiful surroundings and comfortable stay. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us.

We had an amazing experience starting with the setting and lodging. The cozy cabin on the peninsula point on Lake Eden is lovely and the views and the cabin were wonderful.
We had a stellar view of the eclipse. The lake was still frozen with fresh snow on top which added to the magical experience.
Jim is a great host and quick answer to questions. Hope to come back again!

Property was beautiful and serene. We visited in winter and the lake was frozen. I bet it is beautiful in the summer time. Host and home were great.

We were so happy with this rental. Its location is idyllic, the house a lovely piece of arts and crafts history, and located for easy drives to Stowe and a Jay peak. The house had almost everything needed to make it like home, and it was immaculate. We loved that there was no tv as it forced the teens to play games and listen to music with us:) Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

We liked the cabin. Perfect size. Beautiful area. Fireplace smelled and needs to be cleaned. I think a recent tenant let smoke get out of hand maybe...? We did have one fire, but then left with all of our clothes smelling like fire. I think a fireplace insert would be a perfect home improvement and help to avoid these issues. And the fire would heat the house more efficiently. Loved the kitchen and the views. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean. We even got a snowstorm! Thank you for having us, I hope we can come again!

Gorgeous property on the lake, with super close access to skiing at Jay Peak. Everything about the home was perfect— super clean, comfy, with a well stocked kitchen. The host was quick to respond to any questions. My husband and I stayed with our one year old daughter and our pups, and we would absolutely do so again. Really a gem of a place.

This is the second winter we have visited Jim's chalet on Lake Eden. The chalet is well-equipped and very comfortable. Nice large, quiet property is surrounded on three sides by this beautiful late. It is VERY QUIET and we love the peacefulness and serenity that comes with this isolated chalet. We'll have to come back in the summer so we can enjoy this beautiful lake!

My friends and I rented Jim’s cottage for a relaxing New Year’s Eve in Vermont. We loved our stay (our dog, too), which was exactly what we were hoping for. The cottage had a fully equipped kitchen, and was large enough for different activities at the same time (reading in one area, playing a game in another, etc.). We would love to return in the summer to fully experience the lake and fire pit on the peninsula!

We spent Xmas with our family- cooking, eating; playing games, Xmas cookies, stocking stuffers, and secret Santa gift exchange; reading, napping; midnight margaritas around an outdoor fire and under a full moon; thoroughly and completely at peace, with a freedom which comes when surrounded by the warm embrace of family, who are all blissfully disconnected from distractions- no cell service (Verizon) and no Television. Idyllic.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing long weekend here. The location is as stated, at the end of a private road on the peninsula. The views were stunning and we enjoyed listening to the loons. We would definitely return!

Exceptional cottage and location. The house has a very nice openness and flow. The kitchen is well stocked for anything you might want to prepare. The beds are very comfortable especially the king. The property is beautiful and private and the lake very clean. Our only negative was motor boat traffic was somewhat heavy for a couple days but we attribute that to the Labor Day holiday weekend combined with hot/sunny weather. Overall we had a very nice time and recommend this rental.

We love staying at Jim’s place on Eden Lake.
Its a charming quintessential lake house with a wonderful working kitchen and we love the stone fireplace. We love that the house sits on a small peninsula. It feels so private having the water on 3 sides. The lake was very clean and we swam a lot. We took our dog Betty out with us on the kayak. Overall a fantastic vacation!
Thank you!

We had a lovely time with our family. Swimming across the lake daily was a highlight in the clear water. The lake really is as beautiful as the pictures show. The house was clean and firewood ample for both the outside fire pit and indoor fireplace in which we enjoyed as a family every evening. Jim was responsive as a host.

Three generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful time together at this special home. Our grandsons fished from the dock, jumped in the cold water, canoed the lake, and threw the football around in the large yard. Our daughter utilized the office space for work a few times which was convenient. My husband and I had our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the lake.
So many things to recommend about this property - truly a paradise,

The house was roomy and very accommodating. Our family did not have to the leave the house for the entire week. The lake is calm and inviting.

We had a fantastic time at Jim's lake house on Lake Eden. It was a great setting for creating new memories, spending time together, and a much needed getaway. We saw geese, loons, ducks, and even a beaver on the lake. I'd highly recommend this location if you're looking for some "downtime" on the lake.

Just back from our first stay here with husband, 15 year old son and dog. The lake was beautiful and was the center of our vacation. We spent as much time as possible sitting by the lake and swimming and reading. It was just what we needed! First time seeing and hearing loons (a family!) and we were captivated!! Enjoyed watching them, and the heron, and the beaver! The house was immaculately clean upon arrival, despite it allowing for pets, yet it was designed with pets in mind and very comfortable for us all. Communication with host was excellent. The location afforded us the privacy we desired (due to our nervous dog) which was a key to us having any vacation at all this year. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

We've stayed at many VRBO properties and this is the best one ever. It's a perfect location, quiet and private. The kitchen is exceptionally well supplied. I highly recommend it. We've stayed there two summers and have already booked it for next summer.

Our three-generation family and dog had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. The setting could not be prettier, with many outdoor places to sit and enjoy the view or fish, kayak, swim, and roast marshmallows. The house itself is clean, cozy, and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches that make for an easy stay. A truly wonderful experience!

Its a nice small lake and for the kids it was an accomplishment getting from end to end. The place was clean and you have almost everything you need provided. We would gladly come back to stay in the future.

Cool mornings with coffee on the porch, kayaking on the lake, dusk listening to the loons. Could not have been better! Thanks for a great experience!
