Posizione tranquilla in zona residenziale. Vero stile giapponese. Ottimi i prodotti da bagno

The staff are very friendly and they were going above and beyond to help us with our questions. The prepared meals were really exceptional. The food was prepared freshly and presented in the most beautiful way. We enjoyed the whole experience very much. The room setup was really nice, with seating arrangement for family to use. The rooftop tub was really comfortable as well!
We only stayed one night and it was raining the whole day, so we did not get to enjoy the garden there.
4.3
The open air rooftop spa is an amazing facility, despite having an additional nominal fee which was clearly highlighted to us in advance. The staff were all very friendly, accommodating and spoke English fluently. The ryokan is also within walking distance of several places of interest.

spacious, very clean, comfortable and cosy. loved the garden view from the room. toilet was huge with a bathtub. private rooftop bath was great as well.
4.3
The paid dinner was exceptional, do consider having that as the chef was world class. Small property located in a quiet area, with free limited parking available. probably about 20-30 rooms max, I got the slightly bigger option and the bath room and tub was huge. Nice japanese garden for photos.
sound proofing wasn't great, given its built as a Ryokan.

The room was lovely and the staff were very nice!
There aren't a lot of convience stores and food options in the area, but it's not that bad

Great traditional hotel, less than 10 mins away from Gion. Breakfast wearing a Kimono and gazing at the Japanese Garden was amazing

Nice garden and brilliant breakfast
The hot spring have to pay while it’s not exceptional to be honest. Quality of dinner is not quite up to standard.
4.3
Nice clean room.
1. Overpriced for its facilities. We have to pay 1000 yen to use the open bath. I feel this should be included in the fare.
2. The hotel location is out of place. Far away from the activities. We have to take taxi out every time. These adds to cost. And at night, the place is really deserted and quiet.
3. The morning breakfast that we paid is not worth it, as the food is cold dishes. Not appetising at all.
4.3
Enjoyed our stay here. The location is a bit further out of town but it is nice to be in a quieter area. It is also very close to Philosopher’s Path, a good spot for a walk.
A bit on the expensive side especially given that the public bath is not free like many hotels in the area.

- Ambience and atmosphere were on point
- Staff were friendly, helpful and can speak basic english.
- Bathroom had an awesome bathtub and many amenities
- Room was set up for couples with different size slippers and yukatas, which is great if you are visiting with your significant other, not so great when you're travelling as a group of friends(we were 4 big dudes)
- Open air bath on the 4th floor was awesome and jacuzzi can fit a couple just right, a bit of a squeeze for 2 big dudes though. (Open air bath can be paid separately if you didn't book it as a package)
- Literally a Modern Ryokan.
- The pillows weren't very comfortable but we made due.
- it was set up for couples generally, so if you're travelling as a group of friends you might want to request for same size yukatas and slippers.

Room was too small to accommodate a family of 4.
A very small toilet too.
Felt overpriced for such facility.
4.3
Not much
The room was WAY OVERPRICED!! Additional purchase for bathing? I assumed an ryokan would offer free bathing facilities.
The food was Kyoto specific; but nothing about it was outstanding. Mostly cold preserved and pre-made ingredients
This place was an overpriced hostel.

whole set up , amenities used are good
no free public bath

Very clean and nice Ryokan which is a good mix of traditional and modern. Amazing and friendly staff! Food was incredible as well!!
The ryokan is located near a beautiful park, museum and also the zoo. It’s also nice to walk around the neighbouring streets.

This was a Japanese tatami room. The whole ryokan is very new, clean, and in excellent condition.

The outside view was beautiful, the bath was very relaxing, the room was spacious and comfortable
Staff took a little time to respond at the desk, location is a little inconvenient (16 mins. from closest station), front door is thin so can hear noise from outside
4.3
Traditional Japanese ryokan with some modern flavor in the room (like big flat tv or electric kettle). The room and the whole hotel were really nice decorated. Staff was super helpful and pleasant (which is not a surprise for Japan btw ;)
They offered a good selection of toiletries in the room.
Also, visiting roof-top onsen was included into room rate that was nice.
Although the property aimed to look like Japanese traditional style building, their onsen was just a reworked modern jacuzzi. Frankly speaking, we’d expected something more classic. Nevertheless we spend a good time relaxing in open air bath while it was quite chilly outside.

The staff were so welcoming, polite and friendly. They offered us so much free hot tea, they made us feel important and treasured, and their understanding of English was commendable! The rooms were stocked with everything one might need, from tooth brushes all the way to qtips. We could make ourselves coffee and tea in our rooms, which is a huge plus for my coffee-addicted husband. They had laid out 3 futons, which was super sweet, because we only needed 1 or 2, but they considered the baby and that was thoughtful. We had our own private bathroom, which we used right away to take a hot and relaxing shower! Our yukatas to wear afterward were soft and warm, and we didn’t even want to leave the room after putting them on! Luckily Uber Eats delivers to this address, so we only needed to step out into the lobby to pick up our bubble tea and beef & rice bowls. If you get the chance to stay here and secure a rooftop bath, consider yourself in for a treat! Although it was a chilly winter night, our family was in love with the giant hot tub on the roof! It was hot and bubbly, private and there was even soft zen-like Japanese music playing in the background. If I hadn’t gotten so pruny, I might have stayed up there for hours. I wish I could’ve afforded to stay every night of my 2-week vacation here in this ryokan. It was magical, and felt so peaceful and homey that it’s honestly hard to describe how much we loved it. I slept on clouds all night, enjoying the atmosphere of that perfect room with its beautiful views of the garden and private patio. Breakfast was artfully crafted by a very skilled and humble chef, who even thoughtfully gave our young son a bowl of ramen to eat. Although our son is mentally handicapped and has difficulty chewing and swallowing, we appreciated the kind gesture nonetheless! Thank you to everyone at this wonderful ryokan. If we ever get to return to japan, I want to stay here again!
