Paid for 2 rooms, 1 with breakfast. Told no breakfasts available but no refund offered. Told an additional £50 deposit required because we were travelling for work and it might need extra cleaning. We are not chimney sweeps. Not as described on Booking.com. Won't use this one again

The clue is in the owners title "Pittvile Gallery"
The room was cancelled at short notice as It had been "double booked" by Booking.com. I expressed my disbelief at this and two hours later I was offered another room which I declined. ITS A SERVICE INDUSTRY! not a whimsical hobby.

There was no any bacon or sausage in the breakfast. Only egg and vegetables.
3.4
Fabulous location, very quiet, beautiful house with many original features, high ceilings, lots of original artwork. Comfortable bed and very helpful, friendly welcome.
Nothing for the price and location

Room wasn’t very clean.

Pleasant, traditional B&B, comfortable night's sleep. Booked for parking & breakfast, easy reach of town centre. Attentive hosts.

Just inside pittville gates in case with scaffolding up you know the area as google maps and satnav didn't get us there . Ken was friendly
Bathroom was on the small side but perfectly adequate for a few nights. No hot water but as the bed was not even made when we arrived we couldn't have a shower or get changed before going out but could leave our bags in the room. Ken was friendly but his wife was as grumpy as they come, shouted at me on arrival that she had declined my check in request (when it was in fact a checkout request... who requests to check in at 10-11 !!!) and shouted at Ken in the morning calling him stupid for muddling up a booking. Didn't have breakfast as I'd read the reviews and didn't want a vegan breakfast that should be made clearer. NO PARKING AVAILABLE we paid £11.95 for overnight in North Place car park which is a ten minute walk away and the whole area stank of weed. but the room wasn't ready as we made a last minute booking.
Also, since leaving the owners have stated we left debris in the room and requested £329 fee for this. Avoid this place , I have been a booking.com customer for 12 years and am a genius level 3 and never been treated this way, especially when we were inconvenienced by the room not being useable when we arrived.

location
Room was dated, no refreshment facilities, not even a glass or cup for water! too cluttered with furniture, a four poster bed with no curtains not that they were needed or wanted. Needed a good dusting and cleaning

nice area and interesting art work on walls. lovely hosts.
problem with parking.

Room was pleasant in keeping with the building, bed was comfortable.
Property was situated close to the town.
There was lots of dust especially in the dining room even on the plastic flower that were on the tables you eat off.
The bath room sink behind the tap was dirty. The shower cubical and glass and wall to the side was not properly cleaned.
The doors and frames were dirty. Our room 2 had reddish hand marks that looked like make up on the doors and frames.
There was no shower gel or shampoo.
The toilet roll was nearly empty and had to ask for another one in case needed, however tea and coffee making facilities were freely available but even the kettle lid was dusty.
The owner did inform us that she had a serious back problem and this may be contributing to the hygiene issues however, this is not the standard you expect for a paying guest at £90 per night.
The breakfast was vegetarian (no where were we told this). we were given the option of scrambled or poached eggs, but when the poached eggs arrived they were hard boiled.

A well-located, clean and well-decorated hotel with helpful and friendly staff and good breakfast. There is resident-only parking on the street but the staff sorted out free parking for us.

Exceptional standard of decor and comfort. Very clean. Very close to town centre.
The wifi was very slow - almost unusable.
There was apparently no advance information that breakfast would be vegetarian. I missed my bacon!
3.4
Affable and welcoming owners. Bohemian and individual accomodation in a perfect location.
3.4
Breakfast was good, host was most pleasant.
Shower is a bit intermittent (dependent on water pressure) Room 8 top of the house

great location, lovely homely house, very welcoming host.
the single room was small, but had everything I needed for a 1 night stay, any longer and I might have struggled with space.
3.4
Good location and reasonably priced. Host was very personable. The building is full of art and has character.
Very late check-in and my single room was a bit cramped with smelly drain in the ensuite. I could see the double room (which was vacant next to my room) which looked very good.
3.4
Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly service. Really comfortable room. Parking was easy.
Bathroom was small but it was on suite which made up for it.

Lovely breakfast. Very friendly welcome. Interesting artistic decor
A bit concerned that they weren't expecting us and it was only by chance that we found them at the front door. However, once this was sorted, they made us very welcome and we had a very pleasant stay.
