Specious and cosy room, clean and well kept bathroom with nice shower tub. Super friendly staff and delicious breakfast in the lodge with marvelous views to golf courts hills with ponds.

The rooms and all areas were super clean. The bed was really large and we had a great nights sleep in there. The hotel was a nice hotel. The receptionist upon arrival was very lovely and it was a nice start to the stay. Location wise it’s off the beaten track but great for golfers or those attending a function there. The food at the function was superb and the main bar had friendly staff and a nice atmosphere with a log burner and home cooked meals on offer.
The only downside was the lack of a residents bar. There’s a small seated area next to reception but considering the vastness of the hotel, bars and conference rooms I would have expected somewhere to sit post an event to save guests being told to go to their rooms to continue socialising. Or for a table to be left out and cleaned up the next day. The other pointer was the breakfast. It was a very reasonable price however this was reflected in the quality. The orange juice tasted like cheap UHT juice, as did the apple. The coffee wasn’t great, my fork got stuck in the sausage it was that dense, and the mushrooms had a strange taste. Yoghurts were kept in ice but also tasted off. Croissants were okay. Eggs, beans and bacon were fine but that was about it. Would have preferred to have paid more and had a better quality breakfast for our stay.

Nice big room. Fresh decor. Felt clean. Comfy bed. Nice breakfast and food. Nice staff. Would stay here again.
Hotel very quiet and off the beaten track. I think there were only a couple of people staying there so it felt empty. If youre looking for a room for the night it does a very good job, but if you're looking for a destination hotel, its perhaps wouldnt live up to expectations.
Food was very nice but a few more non-chips dishes would have added to the menu.

Beautiful clean, breakfast was amazing.
Arrived late evening and when opening the curtains in the morning, wonderful view
There isn't anything to complain about

Lovely hotel out of the way

Location, good breakfast and excellent food and service at the party. We were compensated for the inconvenience of the bathing facilities by refunding the breakfast.
To be fair the accommodation was fine, however, the water for the shower/bath was tepid. As we had travelled some distance to celebrate a friend anniversary party, it was a disappointment not to be able to have a nice soak in a hot bath.

Okay
Evening meal menu very limited. It lets all the other very good facilities down. Just one thing bath tub difficult to get out of as the handles in the wrong place
4.3
basic, functional and clean
the decor is a bit bland but it’s a golf weekend venue at the end of the day.

Nice quiet location and handy for visiting family locally. We had a lovely lake view from our room. The cooked breakfast was lovely and one of the best I’ve had in a long time.
No major issues but someone else’s hair in the sink on arrival makes you question how good room cleaning was and glassware and cutlery at breakfast could be cleaner!

Great location for Rutland Water as well as the golf of course

Fab location, nice scenery from the windiw. Room was clean and very spacious and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent considering it was buffet style

Breakfast was very good and staff were always freindly.
All good.
I can not think of anything that i did not like.

The three main pluses at Greetham Golf were spacious well appointed rooms with mega comfortable beds. The location is stunning and the breakfast menu very good and nicely presented.
My only gripe is if your stay is for longer than one night the club house evening menu is fairly limited. The home made steak pie is to die for but other than that it’s typical bar food & chips with everything.

Shower didn't get as hot as like although didn't report as was gone 10pm when I arrived and left early so no one at reception
