Unexpected and complimentary Coffee on arrival after climbing 700 steps!
700 steps steep incline

Friendly personnel. Amazing view. Clean and warm room. Tap water is drinkable.
You have to be fit to see all of this 🙂. Bus stop approx. 300 steps up or 700 steps down, but it is worth 😀.
Breakfast could be more versatile.

Beautiful through and through… Amazing view wonderful gardens lots of terraces beautiful room, large bathroom, beautiful common area… Outstanding in all of these departments
it was difficult to get to…particularly with luggage… We are relatively young and fit so we could do it but it did make us think about how many times we could go and come back…also quite a bit of driving to get anywhere, but the property itself is in a beautiful spot, and wonderful for exploring by foot as long as you don’t mind super up and down so you need good knees and heart!

The location was really great, obviously you know ahead of time that there are a lot of steps but it was not an issue. The staff was really super friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was perfect. This is a perfect place if you want to go to the coast and just relax for a few days.
We had a really hard time initially getting here and figuring out where exactly to park but I think that was more our fault. Just something to keep in mind if you are not used to the area at all as the roads are intense.

Absolutely stunning villa with everything you could need or want. Close to Amalfi town, and those views I will never forget. Real treat to stay there. And above all, the service from Giusy, kind, informative, and never too busy to answer a question, thank you so much.
The stairs from Amalfi to the villa could be included in an iron man competition, but we were warned about them.

The view from hotel is amazing, worth every step to climb the hill. The personnel was very helpful and nice. The facilities were great, pool was small but cozy. Definitely we will come once more time for longer stay.
Everything was perfect.

The view from the balcony and pool, was amazing. Breakfast was amazing.
Wifi connection in the room wasn't great. But sat out on the balcony it was fine. We knew ahead of time that the stairs were going to be a challenge, We took the SITA bus from Amalfi to the Hotel Excelsior and walked down to La Palme which was fine. When leaving we walked the rest of the way down to the road which is far longer. My calves were sore afterwards but it was worth it to take in some more of the view and to see the donkeys carrying material down the stairs. I'm in pretty good health but there is no way i would have been able to walk up from the road.

Well , it was not clear how we can get there , so we had to climb around 1000 of steps and it was difficult. After the hard way, the view was amazing and the location is awesome.

The view of this hotel is exceptional!
There are a lot of stairs to be taken from either side you choose to access the hotel.

Ideally situated atop Amalfi town. Stunning views across the Gulf of Policastro to the left and Amalfi coast to the right. We had stayed the first night in Massa Lebresne and made our journey through the Amalfi coast (Positano, Praiano etc) before arriving at Le Palme. It marked the perfect stop for our last night on the Amalfi.
Giusy (the owner / operator) was a pleasure to deal with - gave us great directions from the car park location to the premises, tips on how to get to the town via the steps and generally couldn't have been more accomodating. We spent the afternoon in the pool and hammocks - and essentially had the entire premises to ourselves. Peaceful retreat from the Naples chaos. Definitely recommendable.
Not recommendable for those with any mobility issues. The walking involves a lot of steps to get to Amalfi town - not an issue for us but just an FYI.

This holiday house has a great view. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. This might be a bit problematic for those who do not like climbing the stairs (because it has to be done while walking to the apartment), but there is a lift which helps a bit. Breakfast was amazing, the service too. The only disadvantage is a lack of restaurant at the place, so you have to eat down the town, but overall we are very pleased with the stay. This coast view compensates all the effort to get there :)

The view was good, breakfast was ok
So, we had to walk around 40-50 minutes to get from Amalfi to here. If it is flat, it probably takes around 30 minutes, but there were around 700 steps of stairs that we have to climb up, and we had big luggage. Once you are there, you cannot go back to Amalfi because you are just exhausted after the flight of stairs. Alternatively, you can take a bus to the top of the hill, and climb down 300 steps, but this is still extremely difficult to do

I liked the spectacular view of the shore from the property.
I would like more information about the access to the property. I think this is the only bad aspect of this magnificent property and location.

Property is located in stunning place with breathtaking view - you can enjoy local wine or coffee on cozy terrace while watching at amazing Amalfi coast. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful - they genuinely tried to help us out with a heating problem even before midnight. Also, you will get tasty breakfast - freshly baked goods with Italian coffee. It was quite an unique experience to stay in this place. It was one of the most beautiful views and surroundings I have ever seen.
Firstly - you have to know that to get to the property you will have to go down 300 steps. If you are young and healthy, it is not a problem (well, the view is worth it, trust me). That can be quite challenging. To be fair they have lift for those who are unable to go down and up those stairs.
Secondly - we were there in the beginning of March and at night it was really cold in the room. AC was working, but still, we had to sleep in our jumpers. Just keep that in mind.

- the view
- no hot water in the morning (you had to take an icy shower or wait 2 hours for the water to heat up)
- the room was very modest, it could be refreshed, it was badly cleaned because there was black hair in the bathroom
- breakfast was poor (weaker than in other facilities in the area)
- terrible service!!! the hotel did not inform us that we left the electric toothbrush. We wanted to get it back, but the lady never wrote back how much it would cost and if she could send it. Until today, I have not received the promised invoice that they were supposed to send by e-mail
- there are hundreds of high stairs. If you are not in shape or have motor problems - let it go.

The stunning location and divine panoramas.
The swimming pool area , the turtles around and the whole beautiful flora. The comfortable and beautiful space sections around the hotel, separated for convenience and to experience the beauty of the place and surrounding nature truly and hearthfully.
Not many savoury options for breakfast.
However the breakfast and coffee served were excellent with most glorious sea views.
The hosts were so kind, amiable and friendly

Nice family run place with beautiful views and great breakfast. It's surrounded by nature so you will feel immediately relaxed.
That whole area is just very pricey, so it's hard to find good value for money. For the fact that it's not within Amalfi town, it had the same price.
The walk itself may not be for everyone, however for us it was fine to go up/ down all the stairs to the town at night and walk off all the past we ate :)

Great location with spectacular view and very nice host!we enjoyed everything about this location.
Difficult to manage all the stairs with luggages if the elevator doesn’t work.

We enjoyed the view on the property the most and the great customer service. The breakfast was great too. The property was so cozy and homey. They offered a free ride for dinner to their nearby family owned restaurant in Atrani and the food there was great.
The only thing I didn't like was the steps to get to the property. Guess I wasn't as fit as I thought. They do have a lift but it was very slow so it made more sense to walk.

Comfort, view, pool and staff
To get from the road to the hotel, the property has 300 steps! Although the property has a stairs lift, that you can use it at any time, but it takes about 20 minutes to go up or down. It's good exercise 😉 and it's worthwhile the view and the stay.

It’s very magical ! You find yourself in the most beautiful private land of beauty ! I did not want to leave and got to say I am very picky and it gave me what I most needed . The view , relaxation , good company ! Hosting is exceptional- they handle all with care !
Pack light ! Though my bad was that I did not ask or know how to use the lift system :))
