Very convenient hotel that exceeded our expectations

The room was well air conditioned, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent and very convenient for everywhere we wanted to go. It was very easy for us. The shower was nice, and it was very clean.

It didn't really matter as we were staying for such a short period but the wardrobe was quite small.

Bordeaux what a surprise !

Kindness, availability of the people at reception. Location of the Hotel: super central, close to main points of interest, close to the Tram stops. The room was clean. The Wifi was free and good.

The hotel needs to be refurbished and also the furniture, the curtains need to be changed. They are not well kept so it can give the impression of dirtiness. The moquet, luckily only in the corridors and at stairs, makes it shabby.

Staff was very good. Breakfast was great as well as location being awesome.

there was a continual sewer, gas smell that was very annoying and unpleasant. There doesn’t seem to be a trap for the sink which would cause this problem.

Excellent Hotel in the Center of Bordeaux

I had a one night stay at the Hotel de la Presse in Bordeaux. This location was very convenient to explore the city. The staff was extremely helpful and I was able to leave my bags here before I checked in and after I checked out. The room was comfortable, clean and utilitarian.

not really a huge problem but the stairs up to the hotel because I have two huge luggages and am traveling solo. Also the fact that I have to give them the keys every time I go out is a little troublesome because sometimes I’ll just head out for a second. other than these super trivial problems it was a wonderful stay

A disaster.

The location was good.

Mold in the room, cracked tiles in the bathroom, broken toilet seat… the door room was so thin we got all the noise from the hallway. What else?

Disappointing

The location was very good, most of the staff was nice but not all of them. The room size was reasonable.

Unfortunately the room didn't look like in the pictures. We went there 4 friends and reserved for 2 double rooms and our room was a complete disappointment. The other room was much more different and decent. Had a better bed. Our bed was very uncomfortable, my friend got back pain and the shower was inside the room with a curtain half broken. When we told this to the staff they tried to help but the hotel was fully booked. They offered us a free breakfast, we asked a late check-out instead and they didn't accept.

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, central with friendly staff. Highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel very helpful and accommodating. The location of the hotel is perfect... within walking distance of all the main sites, great restaurants and great for shopping.

Some of our neighbors were a bit loud when leaving their room and that wasn't very nice.

City centre convenience

Bang in the City, do easy to access tourist sites & masses of restaurants, bars, cafes etc. Quirky decor & fittings.

Location meant it was noisy at times ..late night revellers ok, early morning refuse collectors not so much, but come with the territory. Room basic - water glasses would've been welcome. Bathroom restricted /awkward in terms of space with toilet perched on a platform that could be dangerous for the less mobile! Also room a little gloomy as it faced concrete wall ..easily corrected though.

Staff were really helpful about getting about Bordeaux & nothing was too much trouble. Excellent central location for restaurants, bars, bus & tram & sightseeing. Only had breakfast once, which was good. Great quirky decor, comfy bed & good size bedroom

Limited facilities but we knew that when we booked. Our shower was awful & could have done with a mirror in the bedroom. All in all great value for money for a central base

Pleasant

The location was very central and the staff very helpful and friendly. The room had air conditioning although we didn't quite get to grips with the controls (!) The breakfast room was very pleasant and spacious.

The room was rather small for two people but there are bigger ones (probably not available when we booked). There is some noise from other rooms as the walls are quite thin and being very central means it can be noisy at night especially if you open the windows. One thing that could easily be fixed was the shower head which was rather blocked, it just needed the retaining ring of the spray plate to be unscrewed so the spray plate could be put in some descaler.

Great location to explore the centre of Bordeaux

Great location, comfortable bed and very clean.

Getting in and out. I would suggest taking smaller baggage to the room. Suggested parking is secure but a 500m walk from hotel.

Worn out place. Cramped spaces.

Needs a face lift. Dark dreary and worn out. . Curtains unhooked and sagging. Light bulbs burned out. Stained carpets in hall. We had mid grade room which had more square footage but space was poorly designed so it functioned like a cramped room. Ie ) Scoot sideways to get to far side of bed. Staff was great. Location good for exploring city on foot. Close to streetcar line. Paid Parking convenient, about 10 min walk hauling luggage. Noticed that they gave out ear plugs , red flag for noise . But we were on back of building. Only woken up by one or two loud brief altercations in the alley.
