Wonderful end unit (#1) with two nice bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Great location for exploration of Acadia National Park. Very clean and nicely upgraded.

Cute clean space, perfect for the amount of time we were at it. Walking distance to the grocery store. 3 minute drive to Southwest Harbor for restaurants and shops. Away from the crowds, but the road noise was noticeable at all times of days/night.

Nice area and we loved Bar harbor and the park. Restaurants had good food.
Unit 1 was not clean upon our arrival. Beds were not completely made, table in living room was not put back in its place. Stove was dirty. The mirror in hallway was dirty and there was a hair tie hanging on it. The fan in bedroom was broken. The place smelled bad. Smelled musty. It did not feel homey.

I can’t think of a single thing they could improve on. Cottage was very clean. Kitchen was fully stocked. Convenient location. It was great to have grocery store and laundromat so close. And several restaurants in Southwest Harbor were less than 20 minutes away.

This wonderful apartment is located on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island, which was a big plus for us! As an added bonus, there is a grocery store (and a laundromat) 0.1 mile away.
The beds and sofas are comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with all the bakeware, cookware, crockery, flatware and utensils you will need.
The bathroom is tiny, but certainly serviceable.
And the owners, Tim and Sian are regularly updating and improving the property.
Overall, we had a delightful stay!

We really love the location of this property. Walking distance to the grocery store and very convenient to both Southwest Harbor and Acadia National Park. We found it extremely clean when we arrived and the kitchen was very well stocked. Also plenty of linens.
We did have a couple of issues, however. First was noise. The property is very close to route three which is the primary route into southwest harbor and there was lots of traffic noise even with the windows closed. Also, there was a unit above us, and there was a lot of noise that woke us up every morning and kept us awake a bit at night. Beyond that, this unit is very small. It was perfect for just the two of us, but would be tight for two couples.

Easy access to Seawall and Southwest Harbor area. Away from crowds of Bar Harbor but nice drive to get there.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. There was a musty/mildew smell, but I had bought some incents and decided to use them and that cured the smell. We didn't like the toilet location. It was very cramped and we kept running into the sink. They should put like a small table under the hand towel so you have a spot to put your phone, your watch, etc. We stayed in the bedroom that was closer to the bathroom and in the nightstand drawers they were very dusty so I had to wipe those out with a wet paper towel and I also had to wipe the back of the headboard on the bed. It was also very dusty. Other than that the place was spotless. We would stay there again if we are ever in the area.

We had to cut short our visit to the park because a hurricane was coming. The manager contacted us about the storm coming and what to do if we lost power. We spent our time there without incident. Everything about the rental was great!
Maybe add a blanket or two for the rest of the season.

Clean and comfortable condominium in a great location to access Acadia National Park and grocery store.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay. Great quiet location approx 25 minute drive to Acadia Nat'l Park and Bar Harbor. Convenient to food market. Short drive into cute, small town of Southwest Harbor.
Even though unit was close to street, traffic noise was not an issue. Parking was no problem. Appreciated the unit having 2 folding chairs + 3 beach towels. Kitchen was basic, but we ate most meals out. (Did not have foil or sandwich bags). Good size TV, just need your streaming passwords to access.
Had a slight musty smell, but air freshner was provided. AC was working. Would stay here again, but note that the single bathroom sink area is a little tight.

Nice clean House. Great amenities. Beware the house is connected to other units above and next to you. Good neighbors so did not bother us. Also unit is 30 ft from main road so be prepared to hear traffic from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm. Did not bother us though. Would stay again.

The place was really nice, quaintly located on the left part of Acadia, just a short drive away from the main park. It's close enough to some of the lesser visited portions, like seawall and seal cove.
The place did feel it had a bit of moisture, probably from the environment it's located in. The beds also shake a bit on slight movements, especially if two people are sharing a bed, but not too troublesome. overall, really enjoyed our time there!

This property was a good space to be in. It was well kept, the bedrooms were nice. It is the best sleep I have had in a property in all of our travels!
The bathroom sink was very small for someone wearing contacts, but that is a minor issue.
The location is outside of town so make sure you know about parking in Southwest Harbor if you want to shop or eat.
The space was good for our family of 4 with a tween and teen.

Wonderful stay!
Was exactly what we expected. Perfect for our family of 5. We had a fantastic time in Acadia. Tim’s house was stocked perfectly for what we needed - kitchen supplies, towels, sheets, etc. You will not regret coming to Acadia!

Great rental property close to hiking and ocean!
Very enjoyable; close to hiking on the 'quiet side' of Acadia National Park and convenient to Bar Harbor and the busy side of the park. Easy drive to the ocean!

Would rent again. Very comfortable. A little stand in bathroom would be helpful and light over sink. However cottage was great

Acadia National Park Visit
We spent one day on the Bar Harbor side of the park and the rest of the time on the "quiet side" of the island where this cottage is located. Did not get to see the sunrise from Cadillac Mountain. No tickets available so you know it was a crowded affair. But we did get to see the sun rise and the moon rise from the Seawall Beach, two other cars there both times. The house was perfect. Kitchen set up to cook small meals. We did go to Beals twice for fresh lobstet dinners!

Pleasant apartment
Overall we were pleased with the property. It was located in a great area for us. It was clean. We did not like the bathroom. It was very small a tight squeeze between the sink and toilet. Quite uncomfortable. The road was very close and it was noisy at certain times of the day. Overall it was nice.

Super nice property! Not too far of a drive from Acadia National Park or Bar Harbor. Clean and safe area!

Great experience
Very well organized house in very good conditions, clean, several appliances. Not far away from bar harbor very close to echo lake where there is one of the very few public sand beach. If you like hiking, There are also few nice trails at walking distance from the house.

Great parking and Convenient to many adventures on the island. The house is on a main thoroughfare.

Great stay in SW Harbor
Easy access and parking. Great location. Clean and well appointed. Low on frills but high on value. Would definitely stay again. Perfect for two couples or a family.
4.0
We liked the property overall. It is about 15-20 min from Bar Harbor town and Acadia main entrance. Couple minutes drive from Echo Lake beach if weather permits swimming. If you sensitive to sounds, the unit faces the main road, so car noise from early morning to late at night, supermarket around the corner, so it was very convenient. Overall, unit was clean, only couple things that we found some crumbs on sofa, some food leftovers in fridge, and some hair in kitchen cabinet and bathroom, and trash can was forgotten to empty also, we assumed that clean crew had a flip same day guests leaving and us coming and did cleaning on a hurry, as we saw a good reviews regarding cleaning. We spent a minimum time in the unit, so it was ok for us as an island stay. Back to noise, unit is on the first floor, so you have somebody living upstairs and when walking you can hear it clearly. So if you sensitive to noises would say look for other place to stay.

Maine Vacation
The location of the property was great! It is near park entrances, a local grocery and laundry mat. It is also close to Bar Harbor (10-15 min drive). We enjoyed being able to go out and about during the day and come back to the cottage for meals and a little rest. The cottage has a homey and comfortable feel.

A well stocked home away from home
We came up for a few days and were surprised by how well stocked the unit was. There were ice packs in the freezer, some coolers, and all the pots, pans, and dishes you could want. We had easy communication with Tim prior to our arrival. We had a blast...thanks!

Place was very clean and looked just like the photos. Kitchen had all the appliances we needed to cook our meals. Location is good, short drive to beautiful hiking trails and there’s a grocery store less than 2 minutes driving from the house. I definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

Great stay
My family of four vacationed here and it was wonderful. Tim was very quick to respond to any questions I had prior to and during our stay. The beds were comfortable, great seating space to have friends also near by over for dinner, kitchen was well supplied. The location is also great; grocery store and laundromat literally around the corner. A hop away from Echo lake was also great. Would definitely return or recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in the area.

Comfortable cottage
Lovely cottage close to Acadia and the natural beauty of the surroundings. Tim was a gracious and attentive host. Easily accessible and happy to share tips about the area to get us started. Just be aware that it’s a little tricky to find - our gps took us to the street next to the location. If you see a golf course, you’ve gone too far!

Our Acadia Base Camp
