Location, close to the Petra visitor centre, which you need it to visit the ancient city
4.5
We thought the location of the hotel was great, it was less than 10 minutes walk down to the visitor centre. Aswell as 10 minutes walk from where the Jett bus stops. There are cafes/ restaurants and supermarkets next to the hotel.
Our room had doors that opened onto one of the pool areas (floor 3) which was nice. It was a lovely peaceful area to relax after a busy morning exploring petra.
The pool on the first floor looked quite dirty, so we decided not to use it. Not a problem as the pool on the 3rd floor was very clean and a lovely area, so we were able to use that.
3.0
- The proximity to the archeological site (less than 10 min walk)
- Clean overall
- The hotel in general could use a little renovation (old furniture, bathtub with multiple repairs, bathroom flooded each time we take a shower, some damaged walls, old moquette, etc.)
- The wifi didn’t work at all in the bedroom (in the lobby, yes).
- The staff was not very welcoming and was slow. We had to wait 30 min to do the check-in (although we were within the timeframe, we were not in advance) because the person at the reception was at the end of his shift and was waiting for his colleague to arrive for the afternoon. He eventually did check us in, quite slowly, without apologising for the wait.
- Overall, the premises/service doesn’t justify the price.

The proximity to the visitor center is great.. The buffet style breakfast and dinner was very good.
We had changed our reservation on booking.com from two rooms to one. We received the updated reservation via email, but the hotel crossed out both rooms. They did, however, give us a nice poolside room at the same price.
2.5
Breakfast, dinner was good with a varied selection. Staff were polite and helpful.
Room was clean, but the shower in the bathroom was not working, water was trickling from the tap and the shower, even after being fixed following my complaint. There was no soap, shampoo or lotion provided. The safe deposit box was not working and was not fixed despite requesting twice.

nice hotel, a bit old but well managed, clean and the staff is really kind.
the Turkish bath is an experience to try.
very well located to walk till the entrance of old Petra.
moquette in corridors and room
3.0
great location to Petra gates
beware unexplained credit card charges - we found two charges (AU$50) on our credit card statement after we left the hotel.
3.5
Good location near Petra and reasonable price for the hotel. The rooms were large and the facilities as expected for this type of hotel. The bar was a great addition and the drink prices reasonable.
Rooms and corridors need a bit of an update. Breakfast was OK but nothing great.
3.5
Excellent location for Petra, free parking and good value for dinner buffet offered at hotel.
Good breakfast with lots of variety.
Hotel rooms are spacious but very dated. You are definitely paying for location of this hotel, not quality.
3.5
The best part about this hotel is it’s location! Everything is ok - the food was nice. The staff was attentive.
Not the most comfortable bed which after 8 hours in Petra mattered more than usual!
2.0
location and nothing else
dated, rooms very basic (no water coffee or tea)
breakfast buffet not very good st all
4.0
The hotel is close to the Petra entrance gate. Dinner and breakfast provides a large choice of delicious food. Compared to nearby restaurants dinner is cheap in the Petra Palace Hotel. The service is good and the restaurant manager Nazi is always available if guests need help
No drinking water, kettle, teabags or instant coffee bags are provided. The staff at service desk knows nothing about bus connections between Petra and Aqaba. They did not try to help us to find out more about this issue.
4.5
Hotel with a pool. This makes a difference if you come back from Petra early enough to have a mid-day swim.
Breakfast starts at 6am, which allows for early breakfast before going to Petra.

location is just perfect. Ala at the front desk was so good to us and reallly with this weight in gold
the only thing that I think they need is a kettle on the tool

Great customer service
Brilliant breakfast variety
Friendly staff
Nothing!

The outside of the building is excellent, as well as the swimming pool. Excellent location.
The facade of the building is nice, but the interior corridors and rooms are looking tired, dated back to late ‘80s early ‘90s.

such a perfect hotel
for our stay in Petra! two little swimming pools which the kids loved to dip in, and a delicious breakfast. the staff were so very helpful and facilitated our transfers.
nothing - it was great!
5.0
It was clean, very comfortable and the perfect antidote to the heat of Petra. The rooms were large and comfortable. The pool excellent. The children loved the breakfast that had Jordanian fare as well as European. I think it much better than I was expecting after reading some reviews and looking at the photos.
I must say that I agree with a lot of reviews that the pillows were really uncomfortable. I cannot believe that I am writing that in a review!

Great location for exploring Petra

The rooms where dated.
4.2
Location, very close to Petra entrance. Spacy, quiet room. Very kind and helpfull staff
