Very good location. Friendly staff. Fair value for money.

Parking in front of the hotel. Tasty breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. We had an appartment witch kitchen. Tea was avaliable as well as basic stuff (cutlery, plates etc.) Location is very good indeed. 3 min drive right to the parking at the entrance to Petra. very good Wi-Fi.

Appliances and rooms need refreshing.

Grosses Apartment ganz in der Nähe des Eingangs zu Petra

Die Grösse des Apartments, die Nähe zum Eingang von Petra. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Da wir zweimal für Petra früh aufstehen mussten, hat er uns anstelle des Frühstücks ein Lunchpaket angeboten (wir haben das Angebot allerdings nicht benutzt und können daher dazu keine Bewertung abgeben).

Aus der Dusche kommt praktisch kein Wasser, die Wasserhähne der Waschbecken sind undicht. Das Haus befindet sich momentan im Umbau, so dass dieses Manko allenfalls beim Umbau behoben wird. Das Frühstück ist sehr spärlich und wird einem in Styroporboxen an die Tür gebracht.

Worth the money: clean, very spacious apartment

We arrived late at night, so it was closed, but after a brief phone call to the owner, we were met by a young lady from Africa who showed us around. She was very nice and friendly, brought us towels and provided us with the wifi. We were a group of 4 and apartment met our expectations. Large 2 bedrooms, very spacious living room, huge kitchen and bathroom. That could have been cleaner, but nothing we couldn't survive. Water was leaking from the sink, so there was water on the floor all over the bathroom. We paid on the spot in EUR, as we didn't manage to exchange the local currency and it was worth the money. We were leaving very early in the morning to visit Petra, so breakfast was left on the door handle in the morning. This wasn't the best-es idea as it all fell off when we opened the door. We went up to the reception dining area to eat the breakfast there, as there was a supply of tea and coffee, although it didn't look anything like on the pictures. Views of the city centre from the reception area were amazing. In overall, I would happily stay here again.

Water leakage in the bathroom, simple breakfast. Walk from the city centre/Petra was quite steep, but you obviously have to count with it.

A bit pricey for a no frills room

Location, easy access to Petra

It is located across the cemetery which is not ideal. Wifi is a joke. My mobile data works faster and more reliable. The bathroom was broken. Not enough toilet paper. The toilet had previous tenant leftovers and wasn't even fixed until i complained. Disgusting!! Cigarette butts all over! The place wasn't clean up to par for the next guest. Entire apartment was cold except for the heat in the room.

Room is big and location also not so bad.. Owner is ki dress,quick answer fir our qustion.

We use hot water very difficult 1st day and 2nd day morning time used.bad room, normal rooms very cold because heating system aircon working not so good, living room no heating system so use gas heater short time because very headache gas smelling. Morning meal is very simple, bed is color sheet so don't know clean or not but cover blanket is so many include dusty so add blanket is impossible, towel big size 1pc use 2days, staff said no more dry towels so we are no way.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive and quickly responded to any requests we had. We could even do a late check out for free. Nice breakfast was included. The apartment size was great for our group and tea/coffee included. The equipment and furniture was simple but overall everything was very good value for money. Especially if you have a rental car it's great a great location with free parking in front of the door.

Nothing essential was missing and again the place was very good value for money. The only things that could be improved is the water pressure/shower and the quality of the dishes.

Exceptional

I wouldn't change Rakan Apartments even after a million years. We were a group of 6 people and We got a super spacious apartment with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and all necessary amenities needed plus the breakfast was better than every other place we traveled. It was definitely worth the money we paid. We also decided to stay one more night and that was not a problem at all. I can't recommend them enough! We already spread the word back home so expect overflow of Macedonians in the future! Best Regatds from Skopje :)

a very good option for a budget conscious traveler going to Petra

the price was really good and the property staff was very friendly and accommodating despite language differences close to Petra - easy to park right in front breakfast was good clean compared to other places we stayed in Jordan but still below USA standards

the wifi was not very good especially in the evening when all the guests were trying to get on the shower fixtures did not work well

The host was very helpful and nice. He even helped to pay some parking ticket that we got(if there is no parking sign what so ever, don't park) . Beds, close to Petra.

basic and good value

nice to have a cheap apartment with friends, has a fridge and kitchen, had hot water. Breakfast included. easy to message. 10 min walk to main restaurant area.

strange room / storage cupboard that was locked and had strange smell coming from it. the light was on inside. we had to ask for towels. is a little bit further from Petra - easy to walk on the way there as it’s all down hill but might need a ride for the walk back as the hill is steep.

Very spacious apartament with big saloon, kitchen and parking place. Nice located, with great view on city center, in walking distance to it. Also to Petra (but you have to be aware of the steepness of the hill). Very friendly host. Recommended without doubts

The only things maybe in details (e.g. very limited number of cups in the kitchen) or esthetic (e.g. strange hole with pipes in bathroom).
