Lovely setting amongst farmland and wilderness. Warm welcome by resident feline who accompanied me on a short tour of the area upon arrival. Well worth the walk up behind the barn for the view. Self-contained kitchen area paid dividends after long drive bearing in mind it’s a little bit of a drive out to local pub/restaurants. Very clean and comfortable kitchen/bedroom area. Room access procedure convenient and supported with message from owners. Thoughtful cosy interior design features, coasters, pictures etc.
Being a ground floor room there was very obvious noise from the room above (ablutions, footsteps) and therefore reminded me to be mindful of tv etc. If you’re used to living in a house with others I guess this won’t feel as pronounced i.e the man above finally settled at 11.30pm, therefore so could I! Mind you I was up early therefore probably so was he. Swings in roundabouts. Shower adequate but small square footing area. Don’t drop the soap..you can’t bend down lol. But then I am tall. Noise is mitigated via appropriately worded rules/considerations. Hopefully everyone ‘gets it’.

Apart from comments in next box the location, quality of facilities, room etc was excellent.
Didn’t like the smell of drains in the bathroom. My husband had to cover his nose and mouth when he slept as he found the smell so distasteful.

Very fresh feeling, the bed and pillows were super comfortable!!! There was an info guide / binder waiting for us giving lots of clear info on with surrounding area.

Fabulous use of former farm buildings. Well done.
If just one small criticism, just a teeny bit cramped in the kitchen area, tricky squeezing in and out the room door but on the other hand you've made best use of space available.
Spotlessly clean and good to have white bedlinen. Always gives the best impression of quality.
Nothing we didn't like.

What a gorgeous setting for country lovers, and a brilliant base to explore the Peak District from...so much to do in the area what ever the weather, we did a good amount of walking taking in the three shires head and the roaches...views were amazing 👏. There are also a great many National Trust properties in the area so plenty to see and do if the whatever the weather ..Biddulph Gardens is a must see..😲...
Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer...but we will be back...!

Location was pure heaven!
Nothing!

Everything was great. It is literally set 6 miles out from buxton itself but that wasn't a problem. The views were exceptional, room was so comfy and very practical. Loved how it had a basic kitchenette so we could have breakfast instead of venturing out. Great shower and very spacious room & bathroom, comfy bed. Great little break away!
There was literally nothing to dislike.

Stunning location for those who enjoy wildlife, nature and peace and quiet. I loved sitting outside with a cup of tea or a glass of wine at the tables provided for taking in the sunrise and sunset, and walking on the ridge path behind Anroach farm, where the views are stunning.
It would have been great to have a comfortable chair in the room to relax in as the dining chairs are only useful for eating at the table

I liked that it was a very cosy room and the view from both windows

Views are stunning. Check in and check out were easy and the room was spotless.
It never felt private, walls are paper thin and in our time at the accomodation there was a full house. I don't think it hits the mark when advertised as a retreat accomodation. It desperately needs soundproofing.
Having limited access to the internet (suggested not to stream or download content) is also a negative, but a minor one.

lovely location, beautiful views, very clean & modern. bed comfy and attractive.
Nothing to dislike at all but softer bedroom floor would be nicer, obviously not practical in kitchen but some underlay would help in bedroom. despite very hot towel rail, shower room didn’t feel very cosy. shower cream, soap & shampoo would be welcome as didn’t bring.

everything. It was furnished in a really tasteful way and the views were spectacular. The room had everything we needed.
An oven would have been great but we only stayed for one night so we didn’t need one.

Loved the location. The scenery was beautiful.
Tiled floors made the room cold to walk around.

A very quiet, secluded location. Clean, comfortable bed. Kitchenette is a bonus. Loved watching the deer early in the morning.

If I was going to be REALLY picky and try to say something negative I’d say the shower was too small

It was perfectly quiet and yet near to lovely walks. Ideal for what we wanted for our 3 night stay.
We did find the sloping ceiling in our room a bit uncomfortable as my husband is rather tall.

We liked the location and allocated parking space. Room was small but very comfortable. Very clean and well equipped.

Wonderful location, nice and snug
Only slight niggle was there wasn't an obvious place to plug in the egg boiler apart from under the bed

A total escape at Anroach Farm. Beautiful views around the Farm. Very clean room with detailed information pack. Buxton town was a 15 min drive away. We will be revisiting and recommending for others to stay!

Well, we had some adverse weather conditions that knocked out power so we had a real struggle but Steve & Sophia were brilliant and made us hot food and cups of tea ! They were amazing. Rooms really good and very comfortable.
The only thing that we did not like was the fact the weather stopped us from our walks !! Cannot pout that on the place itself of course.

Room without proper cooking facilities. Kettle and microwave oven only.

Beautiful location. The room was very clean and the bed was enormous and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. The snow storm and power cut were completely unforseen affecting several hundred properties in the area but despite this the owners and their daughter were well prepared and kept us warm, fed and watered by inviting all guests into their home. It hasn't put us off returning one bit. In fact it has shown just how lovely these people are. Thank you doesn't go far enough!
Nothing to complain about. It was an adventure in a beautiful part of Britain. You cant control the weather! Be prepared and take sensible clothing.

We loved the location! This property is in the middle of nowhere, beautifully built within a rocky hillside, the view is outstanding and a lot better than what we had in mind. It’s so secluded yet also only half an hour away from Alton towers. We loved our stay, it felt private and cosy.
Thank you

Excellent. Very good amenities, having a well stocked kitchenette was great and made life so much easier. The whole room was very good, comfy bed, nice bathroom and shower. having a little table to eat at was helpful ( hint- chairs are under the bed). Good use of space. Some nice touches including bag with tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc which are all fair trade and eco friendly hand wash and cleaning products. Dedicated parking spot as well.
We were facing the main door and worried about noise from people coming in but everyone was respectful and all we could here was the wind.
The views from the room were wonderful, plenty of outdoor seating which we enjoyed using for star gazing and the surrounding area was great for walking, the views from above the house are breathtaking and it all added to the bucolic setting we were in.
Not to far from Buxton which has good basic amenities with interesting caves and sites to see, some lovely drives through picturesque villages/countryside and some nice places to visit and things to do for everyone.
When we visited it was cheaper than the local premier inn( nothing wrong with them by the way) and was great value considering where we got to stay and the quality of the stay.
I wouldn't say there are things we necessarily disliked but we didn`t see the hosts in our stay and it might bother some people, a hello would have been nice but im sure they have busy lives and it didn`t affect how we felt about our stay.
People had scuffed the walls a little and probably need a couple of touch ups, but i understand you cant walk round following people with a paint brush, and maybe people should be more courteous and respectful when using the rooms as you wouldn't do it at home!!
These are small points and we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come again.
