Short walk down Lambert St takes you via walkway to Dockside. This is a complex of high rise apartments, which houses some shops an Asian restaurant and cafe. The board walk along the river is extremely popular. There is a free cross river ferry service, leaving every 30 mins to take you to the city centre. Or you can also board Brisbane's famous City Cat ferry service that runs from Hamilton on the north side to University of Queensland.
You can follow it right around to the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, where a company called River Life, offers kayaking (night and day), abseiling, rock climbing as well as offering Aboriginal cultural experiences.

RESTAURANTS AND CAFES
A short stroll to numerous eateries, and the quality of food on offer is diverse and high quality. The Sweet Mandarin offers Asian fare from Thai to Chinese and will deliver, the Indian specialists Raj's Palace receives mixed reviews, but we loved the food they delivered. Sushi, Subway and Spoons cafe are all in walking distance as well.

GREAT PROPERTY
We were a group of 10 school friends staying for a long weekend. The accommodation was perfect. Plenty of space to be together or do our own thing. The beds were comfortable; plenty of hot water; lovely pool; plenty of space and great outdoor areas. Perfect location to the city and ferry. The only negative comment was the cleanliness of the property. We thought it was a bit of a rush job as the cleaners were still mopping floors at our check in time. The refrigerator downstair was quite smelly. But, overall, this property gets a very good rating from all of us.

Lambert house is the best!!
Our whole Brisbane experience was fantastic, and it revolves around Lambert house. 15 of us descended on Brisbane for my daughter’s wedding. The house is in the ideal location to navigate around the city, with a 10 minute walk to the free city hopper ferries, we could get almost anywhere! Kate, our host, was friendly and instantly responsive with any questions about the house. Our bed was super comfortable and everyone else reported the same to me. The two kitchens and and two dining rooms made feeding everyone fun and easy. We felt lucky to find this property and would definitely stay again, and recommend for big families or large groups.

Great location, lots of space, could have been cleaner
We were looking forward to staying at this property, it has a lot of space for a large group of people, has a lot of character and is in a great location to get to and from the city. I have emailed the owner about our disappointing experience in relation to the cleanliness of the property as this was below par, and they are raising this with the cleaners and will work on a solution to ensure it doesn't continue.

A perfect space!
This is a wonderful space for a large family. Plenty of elegance - inside and out! Great location, with easy access to all the Brisbane highlights. We lease a house every year for our (large) family holiday - and we all agree that this was the best house we have enjoyed so far!

Amazing Property!!
We rented this beautiful house as our 'home away from home' for the week of our Son's Wedding. We had many international and interstate family and friends attend the Wedding, and Lambert House afforded us the chance to have them visit us in a gorgeous family friendly environment. We will definitely use the house again as a new 'family base' when we next visit Brisbane!!

Extravagant in style and space. Centrally located
Stepping into the spacious house is akin to going to a designer showroom - immaculately coordinated and tasteful selection in colors of the furniture to chinaware in the kitchen cabinets.
We have enjoyed our stay and wished to spend more time if not for having to rush to catch an early flight.
Thank you Jen for having us to stay at your lovely house to end off our holiday with splendor.

We rented this property for two weeks in August 2013 to meet up with relatives in Australia after 35 years being apart, and it was great! The home is more beautiful and warm than the pictures shown and it was just perfect for a large group like us (12 people). Jenny is so nice and just so wonderful to deal with, thank you! This house really made our time in Australia so much more enjoyable and we felt like being home away from home having such wonderful time and great memories. Will definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!
