What a great location...15 minutes to downtown ...a few steps to the beach...walk around the town of Folly and enjoy the restaurants and fishing pier. A county park is on the west end of Folly with bathrooms and life guards. There is a boat landing on folly. Put your boat in the river and see our local beauty-dolphins, herons, egrets or go fishing. The east end has a lighthouse. Park at the east end and walk around ... the Morris Island Light House will greet you.

Parking Rules
No parking on roadway. All 4 tires must be off the road. If white lines are painted, tires must be outside the white line.
No parking against traffic. All vehicles must park with the flow of traffic.
No parking in a crosswalk.
No parking within 20 feet of an intersection.
No parking on sidewalks.
No blocking public or private driveways.
No parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
No stopping, standing, or parking in a roadway.
No diagonal parking unless posted. All parking must be parallel to the roadway.
No parking on dunes or revetments.
No parking in ADA accessible parking spaces unless visible ADA license tag or visible permit on vehicle.
No parking on yellow curbs or within areas marked by yellow or red street lines.
No parking behind yellow lines.
Beach Rules
DOGS are not allowed on the beach from 10 am to 6 pm from May 1st to Sept. 30th. At all other times they must be leashed and under control. Pick up your dog’s waste and remove from the beach. No pets are ever allowed on the pier.
NO POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON BEACH.
NO GLASS is allowed on the beach.
NO PLASTIC, BALLOONS, OR STYROFOAM is allowed on the beach.
NO OPEN FIRES or FIREWORKS are allowed at any time.
NO LITTERING. IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE BEACH, PLEASE BRING GARBAGE BAGS AND TAKE TRASH TO CONTAINERS FOUND AT THE EACH BEACH ACCESS. Have BEACH PRIDE and help us keep our beach clean so you and others can enjoy it now and in years to come.
PERSONAL ITEMS LEFT ON THE BEACH after sunset, such as tents, canopies, coolers, volleyball nets, and umbrellas, shall be considered abandoned and the City has the right to take possession and dispose of said items. Please make sure you have all your personal property when you leave the beach.
SAND DUNES are protected and fragile. Beach Sea Oats and grass help protect the dunes. Stay off the dunes and use public walkovers, located at every block, to access the beach.
SEA TURTLES are an endangered species. Do not interfere with them in any way. No lights are allowed that illuminate the front beach between 10 pm and dawn from May 1st to October 31st. Hatchling turtles are disorientated by artificial light. Fill holes dug in sand before you leave the beach. If you see any adult sea turtles or hatchings call 843-588-2433 to report your sighting.
DIGGING HOLES deeper than 1ft on the beach is illegal. All holes must be filled before you leave the beach and no metal shovels are allowed.
STRONG RIP CURRENTS are common so swim with caution. Charleston County Parks and Recreation provides lifeguards at the West End County Park and from 2nd Street East to 3rd Street West beachfront from May through Labor Day.
SURFING without a leash is prohibited. From May 15th to Sept. 15th surfing is prohibited between 10 am to 6 pm from 2nd Street East to 3rd Street West, known as the swimming zone. From September 16th to May 14th, surfing is allowed in any area except surfing is always prohibited 200′ from the fishing pier.

RESIDENTS must register golf carts with the City and obtain golf cart stickers. Please provide an S.C. Golf Cart Registration Permit letter from the SCDMV (with Audit # and a Folly Beach Registered Address), a current insurance identification card listing the golf cart, and read the golf cart rules below. The application for stickers can be obtained at through ParkFolly or by clicking here.

Beginning January 1st, 2021 there will be no fee for Residential Golf Cart Permits.
VISITORS cannot register golf carts that have been brought onto the island temporarily. State law requires that golf cart cannot be driven more than four miles from the address on the SCDMV registration, and therefore the City cannot issue decals for visitor’s golf carts. The only exception is if you own a home on Folly and have included your Folly address on the SCDMV registration.
Rental golf carts must display valid SC Department of Motor Vehicles and City of Folly Beach stickers. Make sure the company you rent from is following these rules.
Golf carts can be driven across, but not on, Center St. or Folly Road.
The driver of a golf cart must be at least 16 years old and be in possession of a driver’s license, the SCDMV registration certificate, and proof of liability insurance.
Golf carts may not be operated at night.
Golf carts cannot be driven in the rain or at any other time that visibility is limited.

An amazing stay and vacation. The host was wonderful and communication was great. The condo was very clean but could use some updating. Condo grounds/pool were good but elevator situation is not ideal. This condo is on the third floor so we chose steps the majority of the time. No bathroom at the pool area either. View was amazing. Kitchen is pretty well stocked. Lots of storage/dresser space. No beach towels or beach chairs provided which would be nice. Chair rentals are available. The location to all of the restaurants/bars was fantastic. We would definitely go back. Also the washer and driver work well! Plenty of space. Bathrooms were very clean. Master bed is very soft which some may like but was not ideal for my back. We would definitely come back to Folly!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Mary Ann’s condo. Extremely clean, had all the kitchen supplies we needed and you can’t beat the view. We stopped and got ice on the way in but were pleasantly surprised there was a refrigerator ice maker and a stand alone in the kitchen! Communication was on point and helpful. Will be back!

It was a beautiful place for the views and location.
We were 4 adults all +60 and appreciate the elevators and the carts to bring up all the stuff we brought with us.

Our stay was amazing. Weather was great, condo was just as pictured on VRBO. We were in walking distance to Folly Beach Town, delicious restaurants, seaside coffee and breakfast or a cocktail on the pier. The view from the condo was incredible. The sunrises were spectacular!!! Poolside or go to the ocean were only steps away.
We went to Charleston, located 36 minutes away, Angel Oak was 35 min away and Magnolia Plantation was 40 minutes away. (traffic depending)
We went on a sunrise cruise with Tideline Tours with Capt. Jim. It took my breath away and Capt. Jim was full of history to share with us (he also does walking tours in Charleston.)
Mary Ann was great with communication and helpful with anything we needed.

What a great condo. The whole process of checking in was very smooth. Condo was very clean and wow the views from not only the livingroom but the master bedroom were spectacular. Easy walking distance to the downtown Folly area. We loved our stay and we most definitely will be back.

If your looking for a beach vacation or a history lesson about Charleston this is the perfect place to stay. we got some sun and wonderful insights about a city we had never visited. Our hostess, Mary Ann was wonderful. Helped with all our questions. The balcony was awesome and big enough to accommodate all four of us with room to spare. Views were spectacular. The bedrooms were great, quite and each had their own spacious bathroom. We loved our accommodations. Short drive to everything you might need. Excellent time was had by all!!!

We had a great week at this condo. 3 nicely decorated bedrooms and baths. Plenty of towels. Kitchen had all the items we needed and more. Large oceanfront balcony for wave watching and relaxing! Saw dolphins and surfers each morning. Wonderful stay! Loved every minute!

The waterfront condo was nicely appointed and had a fabulous view. We were very comfortable there. Two things we would change - The dining room chairs are trendy but extremely uncomfortable. The key box operation could be a bit better explained. Such as- after making sure the code is correct, press the small back button on the left and pull the front of the box open. Maybe include a picture.
These are minor issues and overall we loved our time there.

Communication was exceptional, before, during and at the end of our stay. Location was fantastic, couldn't ask for better. Unit was clean and had everything we needed. The host was a pleasure to deal with. My only suggestion for improvement is some of the furnishings are showing the wear and tear and need to be updated.

The property is lovely; some minor wear and tear that could be addressed in an ongoing manner. Our best suggestion is to streamline the info that was sent in advance of our stay. Info such as check in process, address, codes, etc...EVERYTHING. If it could be streamlined into one nice, neat PDF or something that would be great! We 100% enjoyed our stay...THANK YOU!!

The condo was beautifully appointed and very well stocked. The only negative was the music from the bar across the street which you can hear in the back bedrooms. However, the musicians they had playing there stopped playing at 10 PM each night.
We enjoyed the beach and took advantage of being so close to Charleston. My husband's family visiting from CA loved their time in the condo; we saw dolphins a few mornings right from our balcony. Everyone loved hanging out on the balcony watching the people on the beach as well as just admiring the Atlantic.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our meals.

We always love coming to COV. The unit was clean. Beds were comfortable. Found anything we needed in the kitchen. A new refrigerator is needed. Some trash bags would have been helpful. We had a great vacation. Thanks MaryAnn.

Loved the oceanfront unit and location. We have been coming to Folly Beach for over 40years and this was the best place to stay. Host was so wonderful and communicated and was very helpful.
