About this house rental
Only one mile from Beacon's thriving Main St., yet completely secluded and away from any neighbors, this is a gorgeous guest suite on a private equestrian estate overlooking Beacon, the Hudson River and surrounding valley. Not only are you surrounded by amazing views, but the romantic horse barn houses your "roommates" 2 horses and 2 mini donkeys who will greet you coming and going. The suite is upstairs with windows that look down into the stalls. (the suite is specially designed to not smell). The evenings are spectacular with beautiful sunsets and sparkling lights from the cities below.
This luxurious suite has: 1 bedroom (California king bed and gas fireplace), spacious living room/kitchen area, loft (Queen bed), and full bathroom. Wrap around balcony and north and south deck boasts: outdoor 7 person hot tub, grill and seating for the exclusive use of the suite guests.
The romantic bridal-inspired bedroom has a king bed, modern 3 sided gas fireplace, and glass sliders to a covered balcony with river views. Another sliding glass door leads you to your private hot tub on the covered deck and horse ring views. Vintage reclaimed barn wood adorn the vaulted ceilings. Relax in bed, watch Smart TV and enjoy the romantic fireplace or check out the window that peeks into the charming center aisle complete with views into the horse and donkey stalls.
The living room/kitchen area has a seating area for hanging out and watching Direct TV.
Sliders in the living room lead to the south deck with Weber grill, outdoor table and seating. Sliders in the front open to the covered balcony which lead you around to the north deck with the hot tub. Enjoy a glass of wine soaking in the private hot tub while watching the sun go down and the lights below begin to twinkle.
The spacious bathroom has a double sink and walk in shower lined with handmade subway tiles.
In the kitchen, amenities include; new professional gourmet stove, microwave, crock pot, toaster and Keurig coffee maker. We provide complementary coffees and teas, fresh eggs from our chickens, as well as pantry items such as microwave popcorn, smores kit, granola bars and pancake mix.
This mountain side setting backs up to 4,000 acres of protected forest land with hiking trails right from the door step. Hike up to the Beacon Reservoir, the Fire Tower with Manhattan views and/or the top of Mount Beacon.
For exploring the city, Beacon is full of shops, galleries and restaurants including the Roundhouse, Dogwood, Towne Crier and the Hudson Valley Brewery.
Easy access from NYC with the Beacon train station stop only 2 miles from this estate. Excellent place to stay for a romantic getaway, special occasion, engagements (we can help you set up) and photo shoots. Please ask us for more details regarding hosting a wedding, photo shoot or other event at Lambs Hill as we have separate pricing for events.
Due to the animals that live on our property, we have a strict no pets policy.

This property is absolutely beautiful. Hammock, hot tub, horses, donkeys, a huge wraparound porch, and very kind people working with the animals.

Amazingly relaxing stay in a perfectly set-up escape. Felt peaceful from the moment we arrived. The layout and facilities are thoughtful and super comfortable with everything taken care of from toilettries to coffee pods and even freshly-laid eggs. Having the horses and donkeys in close proximity was magical, with every departure or return an opportunity for a snack feeding! Huge clean tub with the best views to end the day. Will definitely return.

This mountain side estate does not disappoint! Breathtaking sunset views and nightly views of the city below are nothing short of a fairytale. The estate was incredibly clean and had no smell whatsoever from the "house mates" below. The horses and donkeys were so fun to greet coming and going. I was worried about flies, being over a barn, but I didn't see a single fly. We did have one issue arise that was no fault to the owner. We mentioned it to the caretaker, and she was prompt to get it resolved.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we have decided that a return visit is a MUST in the future.

You can't go wrong with this property if you are looking for a unique and majestic experience away from the crowds. Every detail you experience in the home and on the property feels intentional and is done perfectly. We had a wonderful weekend and can't wait to go back again!

We had an incredible 4-night stay at this special property. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The views were truly stunning and the animals a ton of fun and lots of laughs. The location was fantastic, just a couple of minutes to town but it felt very private and secluded. The driveway up to the house goes through the woods and was beautiful - totally not an issue if you ever driven on an unpaved country road. Everything was as advertised, and this was our first ever 100% issue free vacation rental. This special place made for special memories on our anniversary trip.

Magical Weekend Away
This property was pure magic. The views were amazing, the house was beautiful and the horses/donkeys were so great to interact with. It was the best weekend away we have ever had, and can't wait to come back again.

Beautiful Spot, but Maybe Not for Everyone
Overall, things were very good. Charlotte was easy to communicate with, check-in was a breeze, the location was beautiful, and the accommodation was generously stocked with anything one could need for the kitchen or bathroom.
I think most people would find this a wonderful place to stay, but there are a few small things folks should be aware of:
The site and views from it are outstanding, but to get to it, you have to drive up a long, somewhat steep and windy gravel road. This was no problem in good weather for our AWD vehicle, but some folks may find it a bit challenging or intimidating.
While the high-use areas in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom were very clean, there were a few articles visibly left under some furniture in the main sitting room, a wrapper was on the bed, and less trafficked areas could have been better cleaned. The fan in the bathroom and the A/C unit in the kitchen were in serious need of cleaning.
As the listing states, it is over the stable. As a result, there are lots of flies around, and one or two occasionally makes its way inside. In addition, while the aroma of the stable was only very mildly detectable in the portion of the suite near the door on most days, on rainy/wet days, it was a bit more pronounced.
Finally, the suite is very nicely furnished in a bridal style, which, while looking lovely, isn't always the most practical (e.g. light white fabric curtains that don't keep sunlight out of the bedroom, fuzzy lounge chairs that aren't the best seating for watching TV).
This all being said, as I hope the star rating reflects, we had a very nice time at this lovely, clean accommodation in a gorgeous setting with a very thoughtful host.

Perfect Stay
My wife and I spent a few days at the property to relax and get away from NYC. The location was very quiet and had beautiful views of the Hudson River. The apartment was nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything you needed to prepare meals.
There were also some great hikes just steps from the property. Communication with the owner/property manager via email was prompt. The town of Beacon was a short drive away with some good shops and DIA Beacon. Note, there is a dirt road that leads up to the property. The first 50 - 100 yards of the road was in pretty poor condition, so if you are in a small car or a car with zero ground clearance, be careful. You can't blame the owners, though, as this was a city/county road.

End of winter getaway and this place really delivered. The views are breathtaking, the horses and donkeys were very sweet, fireplace, jacuzzi, it was everything as listed and then some. Highly recommend.

Pretty Property but Complicated Stay
To start with the positives, the inside of the property is very pretty, with all the amenities you could ask for. The hot tub was fabulous, and overall the place was great for the evenings, with beautiful views overlooking Beacon. However, we were not informed that construction would be happening during the day, and so we had limited privacy (had to keep all the curtains shut or else we were within feet of construction workers—all of whom were unmasked) and there was noise outside. One of the reasons we picked this location is because it promised to be a place you didn't have to leave—and this wasn't the case. We actually felt we had to go into town for more privacy! As a couple who came to escape the noise of the city, and to be in a safe location during covid, this wasn't the case. There wasn't a check-in process. When we arrived someone who works with the horses (she never gave us her name) just told us to go upstairs. There's a book available with some instructions, but none for check out, so we communicated directly with Charlotte. Once we did that, check-out was easy, though check out time was a strict 11am and there isn't place to leave bags in case you want to continue exploring during the day (we did not have a car, and we definitely recommend those coming to have one! Our Lyft drivers were very nervous going up the mountain!). Overall, we were disappointed with our experience, especially because this was a really pricey stay for us. Our sense is this place is perfect for weddings, and could be wonderful if it is actually private. Our recommendation is to check ahead if construction is still happening when you want to book.

Spectacular view
This property has one of the best views I have ever seen. The property is magical. You enter through the barn, which is immaculately kept, to a treehouse-like dreamy suite. The bedroom is very cozy, especially with the fireplace, which is easy to use. The kitchen is well stocked. The town of beacon is a 5 minute drive away and is very cute. It is under 1.5 hrs from NYC, making it an easy getaway. To be aware - the drive up to the house is quite steep and windy, I would recommend 4 wheel drive. Also, the living room doesn’t heat up as well as I would have desired - pack warm clothes.

A Perfect Escape!
We absolutely loved our stay at this rental property. The space looked just as beautiful in person as in the pictures, and the sunsets and views are breathtaking. It was clean and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The hosts were responsive and helpful. I think this guest house is especially perfect for a romantic getaway. There is plenty to do at "home", but also lots to do in the lively towns nearby if you feel like getting out. Highly recommend!

Incredible!!!!!
My husband and I came to the equestrian suite to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We had the most incredible time. This suite is absolutely stunning. Pictures do not do it any justice. The suite was so warm and cozy and was decorated beautifully. The views are amazing as it is atop of a huge hill. The house had everything you could possibly need. We will certainly be back!!!

A heavenly luxurious treehouse
We came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and it was a magical few days. We loved the house, views, peace so much we ended up canceling our dinner reservations both nights in favor of baguettes and cheese. Already thinking of booking for next year.

Amazing three days
This place is magical and just what my husband and I needed after 16 weeks of working from home. The interior space is beautifully designed with a number of comfortable perches to enjoy the spectacular view. It's very quiet but a three-minute drive into Beacon where there are shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Stunning views & gorgeous rooms
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Equestrian Suite. It is a fantasy-like retreat with stunning views 24 hours a day from every room. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck in the evenings. An easy drive into town. A wonderful spot for horse lovers.

Beautiful home and views
As described in the pictures. The views are gorgeous, the snacks & coffee included are a nice touch, and the hammock on the deck is perfect. (Plus hot tub!) It's a bit of a winding road to get up the hill-- the owner sends instructions, read them -- and Though it's over a barn, the smells don't carry. There's a bit of activity around the barn during the day, but nothing distracting. It's perfect for a getaway.

Absolutely AMAZING!!!!
The pictures online are exactly what your going to walk into! the ride up the mountain had me a little nervous, I met Charlotte half way up and when we arrived at the top we were taken back by the views. the suite was absolutely beautiful, views from the hot tub in the morning with coffee and sunset at night were breathtaking. Location was perfect literally a mile from main street, the town of Beacon was awesome with great shops and restaurants. We had dinner at the Culinary Institute of America one evening and that was about a 30 minute ride 90% of which were all back roads so it was a beautiful ride. We will definitely be back again, fall would be even more stunning to stay!
