The location is excellent, with easy access to the shuttle buses to the slopes, and close to the snow trail that comes down to the centre of town. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was very delicious. The sauna and steam room were delightful ammenities that I took full advantage of, and left me feeling very content and relaxed after my days of riding.
To be honest, there was nothing that I did not like.

dirty and old. rooms desperately need a renovation.

Good breakfast selection
Lovely lounge/ lobby area. Liked the little balcony outside our room
Room decor quite outdated but did match photos, only lighting in room was lamps

Excellent breakfast, very clean room, friendly staff, very nice saunas that you can book for yourself. We were really satisfied with our stay.

Breakfast buffet has limited choice but quality and presentation are OK. Opens at 7:30 only.
My room was in dire need of renovation. It was clean, but totally run down. The facility doesn’t do anything to make you feel valued as a guest. No effort whatsoever to positively stand out.

Great place for families, it was quieter than i expected.
beds were a little soft for my husband, missed the bacon at breakfast. otherwise, all great.

Great hotel with the typical fantastic breakfast buffet. Great location right in town.
No complaints.

Amazing place, highly recommended!

We had a balcony in our room, and we could bring our dog with us, for a fee. Cristina who checked us in, was very sweet and welcoming. The common areas are beautiful and the location of the hotel is very convenient, with free parking in front.
Our room was very outdated and the furniture was even damaged. Floor in the bathroom got soaking wet when you showered, with no drainage and the television was installed on a wall next to the bed, not in front, very strange. The breakfast was disappointing, we arrived at 9am and even with an hour left, the staff did not refill the food.

Great location to start a hike in the summer
Staff was realy friendly

Free parking. Friendly at check-in and check-out.
The room I got was like a room they put people they don't like I think :-) It was a dark room, up in the roof. The sheets on the bed did not smell very fresh, the bathroom was from the 60-ies or so and did not look that clean. Absolutely poor lighting in bathroom as well. Room really needs a good clean and some modernisation.

The room was well sized and the location of the hotel was very convenient - directly off the main road with nice views and near restaurants. The children liked sleeping on the mezzanine in our room.
Despite telling reception we would be checking out at 7:00 in the morning to catch a flight, the reception desk was unattended at that time. When we called the phone number provided, we clearly woke up a security guard who told us we would need to wait until 8:00 when reception opened. Not possible, so we left the key cards on the desk with a note and emailed the hotel, who have still not responded to us.
We specifically chose this hotel at a higher cost than other accommodation in Hemsedal because breakfast was included. When we checked in, the receptionist told us it wasn't served until 8 on a Sunday, but there would be someone in the breakfast room so we could take some items with us. When we went there at 7:00, the room was chained shut and the man inside ignored us when we tried to get in.
The hotel seemed rather rundown and smelt smoky despite having non-smoking signs up.

location
cleanliness was poor-no room service

Breakfast was simple and good.
The rooms need a good uplift ( painting and change of the curtains as they were old and weary).

The hotel was not ready for guests. No reception staff, no restaurant. Nevertheless, we were charged rhe same rate as a full service hotel.

Nice location, the room was spacious and very clean and it had a small balcony with a montain view. The breakfast was plenty even though we stayed out of the season and the staff was really friendly. If you travel by car as we did there is a dedicated parking.
everything was fine

Placed centrally in town, easy access to outdoor, town shops etc.
It is an older Hotel, obviously

Breakfast was good except the espresso machine was not functioning while we were there. We had a larger room with a couch which was nice. Nice large closet with shelves - a bonus. Comfortable bed. The staff was awesome.
A functioning espresso machine in the breakfast room. One can tell the lodging in Hemsedal takes a beating in the winter with folks partying too hard. No floor towel for the shower. It was as expensive as a nicer hotel in Oslo that we stayed at.
