Location is great. Room is fine. Staff is fine.
Not good value for money.

The breakfast was ok. Very limited options as they didn't have much staff. The overall experience was nice but I found it a little over priced. Also vegetarian options were very very less. And no food available in the afternoon due to lack of staff.
It was very overly priced and food options were limited, same breakfast on both days.

Many thank to the lovely Scottish ladies working morning shifts at the hotel - they could not have been nicer and more helpful. special thanks for the e bike advice
strong odour in the room ?? Plumbing issue - though the bathroom appeared superficially clean. A spider in the bedding on the first night not reassuring!
3.8
Great location with amazing views. Comfortable and big room with big bathroom. Communal spaces with sea views with books and board games
The road leading to property is really narrow

The room was very good, we loved the view the bed was comfy. Breakfast and evening meals were very good and the staff were most welcoming and friendly.
The road up to the hotel was poor, avoiding pot holes and a cattle grid which was extremely bumpy even at very slow speeds. I guess it adds to the character of the place :)
3.8
1. The view from the rooms.
2. Our double room was spacious, with lots of natural light and recently renovated.
3. Very quiet
4. Good breakfast (even though uncooked)
5. Helpful and positive front-office staff
6. Guest parking
7. Lots of sheep roaming free (unique experience).
1. Access to hotel is a 2 mile road that is one lane (single file) and is in bad shape.
2. The area (Greshornish) is sparsely populated and the initial feeling on arrival was that we had come very far away from humanity. But we were enjoying the secluded location by the next day.
3. Nothing much to do here. Nearest town with restaurants is Dunvegan, which is 12 miles (approx 10 minutes) away. We didn’t try the restaurent at the hotel.
4. No housekeeping during the stay.

Stunning views, beautiful drive into the property, wonderful and comfortable room, and great food.

- the staff are super nice and helpful

Location and the view
Very noisy rooms above. Terrible ready meals from the restaurant. No house keeping.
3.8
Staff were friendly enough. Decent room.
No housekeeping. Poor value for money. A bit tired and not up to our expectations (or the money paid).
3.8
Beautiful location, quiet, unspoilt
Rooms were basic for the price
3.8
Everything!
3.8
viww is decent though at Isle of Skye, most of the properties would have similar view.
no hotel staff other than the owner- no arrangement for food or dining. you have to drive 5 kms to get dinner!

All o.k
Nothing

Very little
Outrageously poor value. Tiny room. No view. Poor breakfast. Particularly unhelpful manager Chris was clearly channeling Basil Fawlty.
3.8
view, location, convenience
cottage bedrooms upstairs need ceiling fans because it gets very warm
3.8
remote location overlooking the sea. surprisingly big room at 2 level. comfortable beds.
no dinner on a Tuesday so we had to ring around to find a place to eat.
3.8
The location was beautiful. Its in the midst of lush green pastures, next to the sea. Very very silent at night. The cottages were more of "value for money" than the sea view rooms.
Their check out times are very very strict and little early (10:30 am), check-in at 4 pm, which is little late. Seems like there are not many staffs to do the cleaning of the cottages. Prices were pretty high because of summer season. The location is little far from Portree. Breakfast had very limited options. With a functioning kitchen, they could have offered a cooked breakfast.
3.8
Excellent breakfast selection.
3.8
excellent location, great food
no room refresh even staying 3 nights no change of towels or top up of milk etc, poor availability of staff, dinner only available 3 nights

Breakfast could ce been a whole lot better with a little bit of work, location was not bad, but pretty much every other establishment in the area is well located as well
After a few of other bad experiences, I had great hopes about this place… Ended up paying about 250 £ for an apartment without a working heater and not a measley extra blanket in sight, as well as a shower with no pressure whatsoever and just a small dash of water dripping from it… definitely not worth the money

Very nice location and very nice rooms
Outdoor space not well maintained
3.8
beautiful little annexes with self contained rooms inside. the rooms and bathrooms are spotless. our room was enormous and the bathroom was gorgeous
Chris the Owner’s mum is a little sweetie, and comes and talks to all the residents.
it’s slightly remote so be prepared for this. Redwood House does not serve food everyday, so make sure you book up early locally.
3.8
The location is beautiful although the one lane road to get there takes a bit of caution.
It took a moment to figure out how to lock the room. it is different than door knobs in the U.S. You have to lift the handle upwards, then turn the key to lock it.
3.8
Breakfast is ok, room was spacious and clean.
Restaurant is closed half of the week. Parking area is not well maintained - it s muggy when it rains.
3.8
The property was in a secluded area, so peaceful and beautiful. The staff were excellent and eager to please.
It did not have a cooked breakfast. That was announced before the journey so it was not a surprise. It’s just that I like cooked breakfasts when I am away on holiday.
3.8
The scenery is great
The hotel is really expensive for the poor service that it offers. There restaurant is not open many days and there is no self catering possibility or anything near. We had to drive 25 miles to have dinner. The fridge in the room didn't work.
3.8
Staff were very friendly and helpful
