Location was good and only a ten minute walk from the city centre. Staff on check in and check out were good
The desk in the room was dirty, the bathroom floor was filthy.
Couldn’t open the window when we first arrived.
The water was so hot and didn’t seem to go cold for the shower/bath meaning we had to pour it and leave it sitting for some time before we could use the bath.
The room needed some updating and had marks all over the desk, window sill and bathroom wall.
It was so dark and the mirrors so pushed back in the room and bathroom that I struggled to put my contact lenses in and get ready.
I struggled to fall asleep as the gap under the door was so large the light poured in.
During the night I was woken constantly by creaking floor boards in the lobby. It was so loud it sounded like other guests were in our room and we ended up leaving earlier than planned.
Was told on check in I had to provide a card for if we were using the restaurant etc despite me advising I wouldn’t be I was still told that it was needed so I provided it.
After already leaving early and not having the most positive stay I have discovered a charge of £42 on my card.
Called the hotel and was told it was for breakfasts which we did not have. Was then told; oh yes I see we will need to find out who that was. I exclaimed that I wasn’t happy about this and wanted it refunded and asked for an email from them as proof. No apology was given and not received an email as of yet. He seemed more interested in charging this to the correct person which frankly I couldn’t care less about. An apology would of been nice and told when I will receive my money back
Will not stay here again

Style, staff, location
The shower handle came off in my hand

Staff were excellent
It was unfortunate that my room backed onto work being carried out across the road which was not ideal

The staff were all exceptional, very friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly polite. The epitome of service with a smile.
Breakfast was brilliant both mornings. I would recommend booking with breakfast included as it is far cheaper than adding it when you arrive.
The room was clean, but the decor has definitely seen better days. Frayed carpeting between the bathroom and bed. The carpet needs replaced, i would say. The bathroom wasn't spotless- there was hair in the bath tub. Some of the furnishings need replaced, , desk chair was burst at the side. The bed was not very comfortable, very lumpy.
Oh, there was no plugs available on the bed side of the room. Very annoying when needing to charge my phone, wanting to work from it and wanting to be in bed, wasn't possible.

Great Location, Great price. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff all friendly. Bar friendly and drinks a good price.
The lighting- It's so dark that we had to put our phone torches on to read the menu. Rooms also very dark.

The room was nice and comfy and the staff were lovely
Your hotel is listed under hotels that have parking. I was a bit taken back that I had to find parking elsewhere where, which cost a lot of extra money

The air conditioning in the room was brilliant, so good on a hot day!! The bar was excellent and the bar tender made a great cosmopolitan!!

We were able to check in right away, we had two rooms that were near each other and there was a fan in our room.
We were placed in a handicap room that we didn't request. Because of that the bathroom was a little awkward for us to use, the sink was really small and the height was too low for us to use comfortably. There was noisy construction directly across the street.

Good location, consistency, very clean and comfortable
Price overboard, service hit and miss

lots of character !!!
water was a bit too hot and difficult to control

The building site adjacent to the hotel which created incessant noise from 6.45am each morning. The hotel did not warm us of this very apparent issue or proffer any compensation for the disturbance as our room was directly overlooking and impacted by the works.

My wife and I were extremely disappointed with the hotel room, the water pressure was extremely low and when showering constantly had to adjust the level to maintain a proper level. I went to iron my shirt and the iron literally went on fire. Not the best experience to say the least
As detailed before

Hotel was excellent in every respect supposed to be an old church but no sign of the past.
Only issue with stay was there is no parking on site or on nearby streets, at least not at a reasonable rate. The hotel give a discount on parking at a 'nearby'multi story, but this is a good 10 minutes walk away.

Great Central location. Breakfast was lovely.
Bed was not long enough.
