Große Auswahl beim Frühstück. Wunderschöne Anlage direkt am See. Sehr ruhig und entspannend.

Nice property, pleasant staff and overall a good experience. Quality of food is good and the place is well maintained and hygienic.
Overpriced. Lot of times, staff had to be called repeatedly for services. Basic amenities like door mat, tissue papers, pair of towels are not present in the room unless asked for. The road heading to the property is very narrow and one has to be mindful of venturing out after 9PM. Roads leading to the property are pretty dark around this time.

Superb exotic location. Received a warm welcome at the reception. Speedy check in before 2pm itself. Stay in the Family Duplex Suite - an attic villa, was well enjoyed by the kids. Room 103 is the best, because all highlights of the property can be enjoyed from its verandah or balcony itself. Also it provides a beautiful view of the Vembanad lake right in front of you. Every villa has its own hammock. Enjoyed the infinity pool very much. Evening high tea and a sunset cruise were included in our package. The restaurant served a wide range of dishes; though the price was a bit on the higher side, the quantity was lavish. The complimentary buffet breakfast was a real wide spread. In the evening there was a live concert. Enjoyed both indoor and outdoor activities, gym and cycling. Had a small library and a souvenir shop, which I didn't try. Tried a massage at their Ayurveda spa which was super relaxing. They even had a super powerful speed boat which I couldn't experience due to time constraints. Overall a very neat and clean property. Beautifully landscaped. Lots of parking space.

Wonderful staff, beautiful setting. We enjoyed the music outside in the evening and the boat ride. The rooms were large and comfortable.
Problems with power meant that I lost wifi and a/c periodically.

This was our second stay at Backwater Ripples and won’t be our last. We enjoyed sitting on our porch watching the birds, the food was excellent, beds comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more.

The trip to get to the accommodation was horrendous - very bumpy and dark, and until we reached the gate, it was pretty scary (granted we did get there at like 3am) - but on the other side of the gate was a glorious oasis. Beautiful grounds, serene and spacious. Truly God's green earth.
The room was excellent - huge, comfortable, air conditioned well, and the views were beautiful from both sides. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The bathroom was generously sized, and we particularly loved the indoor/outdoor shower.
The breakfast was nice - we enjoyed that it was mostly local foo, as opposed to a Western breakfast, though that was also an option.
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
A couple of months before we arrived, and despite the free cancellation to 3 days prior, the accommodation contacted me on Booking.com requesting my direct contact details and requiring the full amount to be paid directly to their account, sending me a picture of account details. This screamed scam to me (though ultimately it wasn't) but it was really unprofessional, especially with all the scams around these days.
If the accommodation requires full payment that far in advance, it should not sign up to a cancellation policy on Booking.com that allowed free cancellation up to 3 days prior to the date of arrival. Further, requiring contact details and a deposit of money into an account is not something that feels secure in this day and age - and I do not believe adheres to Booking.com's policies for hosts. I would recommend that the accommodation take payment at the property (like we ultimately did) or accept payment through Booking.com.
While we were there, we did their signature massage, and while the masseuses were very skilled, the massage was stressful as they do not cover you up with a towel the way you would expect in massages in other parts of the world - despite repeated requests to be covered, the masseuse laughed it off as a ridiculous request because "nobody else was in the room". This felt belittling and invasive. It really dampened the experience.

Very good location on the lake. Large property with extensive grounds, greenery, very quiet. Well kept grounds. The restaurant is really good so no need to move out of the place for food unless you are keen to try some restaurant nearby. Good Breakfast. Large parking area (Its also a wedding venue). The Ayurvedic spa was good , it is quite busy and needs booking. They have a good evening cruise on the lake. Got some indoor games , pool etc. Overall an excellent place to relax and unwind. Relax on the lakeshore. Recommend.
The intercom was not working! And they do not have a room service menu in the room as is usual in hotels. Imagine having to foot it down every time for something. Maybe temporary but still a pain over three days. The booking.com site mentioned Two single beds and One king bed for the deluxe room (like a family room). This is mentioned in all the Deluxe rooms. However the Front Office Manager denied that this is the configuration. . Sort of a let down as travelling as family and the description on booking.com looked like a real comfortable room. They arranged an extra folding bed.

A decent option, in a good location. Staff is friendly.
Excellent for weddings (and large group stays) which is in demand with local patrons, as observed.

The overall property was good, especially the quality of the food but no extra amenities, they didn't even offer the free promised boating services despite checking a couple of times and waiting.
they didn't even offer the promised complimentary boating services despite checking a couple of times and waiting. My family was disappointed with that apart that all was good.

The quality of the food is good. Have lot of options to select from and whatever we had, found it to be tasty.
The rooms need renovation to match the present day expectations. Its a bit old fashioned and need attention to.

The entire premises were neat and clean. Complimentary break fast allowed to the inmates is excellent.
The amount/rate charged for almost all the food items in the Menu is very exorbitant and not at all affordable. As your resort is classified under 3 star category, such rates are not reasonable and acceptable according to me. Take precautions to prevent frequent power failure though it is timely addressed all the time.
