Heritage Style Bungalow. 2 Stöckig. Sehr schön gelegen. Schöne Architektur.
Aufenthaltsraum sehr dunkel, nicht so einladend im Zimmer zu bleiben.

Friendly and helpful staff that were quick to react to any unexpected requirements of the guests. The staff were courteous and most of them were ever smiling. A positive indication of their happiness levels due to the conducive envoronment.
A small shop for selling artifacts also doubled up as a travel desk. Found the cab rates on the higher side. Could be better managed and cost optimised.

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at as part of our trip around Kerala; but it was worth it. Lovely place, the gardens, room and pool area all great. The buffet food was excellent as was the breakfast. Lots of options re alcohol/drinks. It is next door to the bird sanctuary so do the early morning walk around the ground with the expert. We also booked a boat ride from there which was really great. Loved the Chai woman in the afternoon. arriving by boat was special. The staff were so professional and friendly.

I really liked the vast space, layout and heritage-cum-backwater vibes of the property. The welcome act of the boat entry was well done. The staff are exceptionally cheerful and unfailingly polite at all times. Room service requests were efficiently managed. The breakfast spread was pretty great. The dinner spread was surprisingly mostly local items and this was a pleasant surprise for me as a local. I totally enjoyed the sunset boat cruise and the evening cultural show. The property is a pure joy to walk around from early morning to late evening. This property is meant for guests who are looking for a relaxing getaway with no pre-planned strenuous activities.
The plugpoints or charging sockets in the bungalows are not sufficient. There were no charging sockets close to the bed. In today's age of multiple devices, this could be rather frustrating. Incorporating 1-2 charging sockets in the side tables or in some other fashion would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely fantastic experience as always! The room was superb and spacious. The open to sky bathroom was the highlight of the stay. The food was delicious. The staff were all so polite and friendly and welcoming. This is my 2nd stay with them and I can't wait for my next visit.
The spa was amazing too.
Nothing at all.

It is too expensive for the Indians. The facilities do not match the price. The rate is fine for foreigners.

We had 2 days in coconut lagoon and I don’t recommend it if you want to see the backwaters. For context, we solely came in Kerala to see the backwaters. Therefore, upon check in I ask the front desk to help us book a tour boat on a local boat to see the canals. They reply yes. I then reply that I also heard we could have lunch on the boat, they said yes and that is called a house boat. I then replied that it was good with me and we booked a 4 hours cruise. End of the conversation. Fast forward next day, it is time to take our house boat. 2 hours in, I notice that we are in the middle of the lake. I inquire the captain and he tell me that those boat cannot go in the canal…. Back to the hotel I complaint that this was our only opportunity to see the canals we came from abroad to see and ask them why they booked us a tour on the lake without telling us. They replied that they told us that this was for the lake only ( which they never did ). The other issue is that if you actually go on Google, you will send plenty « houseboat » going in the canal, I also saw the boat we got, leaving by the canal once we got off the boat and saw plenty of houseboat in a canal on our way to the airport. End of the story I never got to see the backwaters we came from abroad to see and I still don’t really understand why this scam was all about. Lastly wifi don’t work in the hotel and the ac goes on and off.

The location. The property is extensive, with much to slow down and soak in. Utilises the natural and local environmental and cultural practices.
The stay is expensive, perhaps needs to be to maintain exclusivity but it is certainly on the higher side.

The location and rooms are exceptional
Food should have been a little bit more tastier and the buffet spread was very less
