Excellent location , spotless the lady cleaner was lovely as were all the staff and John the owner who looked after our booking so well.
Private accommodation down the road . Very , very comfy beds , warm and modern interior done to a high spec.
Great shower , love we had a fridge . Round the corner from the high street 10 mins walk to the beach , 15 mins to the Castle.
Just suggestions ..
Privacy put on the windows or different blinds .
Fan in the room .
It was very noisy on the road when the Fort pub was emptying around 2 am , squabbling , swearing , fisticuffs , usual when a nightclub comes out , be aware .
Only 4 channels on the TV , a package with maybe Netflix would have been nice .. BUT OVERALL VERY GOOD 👍

The location of The Fort is wonderful and the staff were lovely.
The room has such a strong “old” smell. It was quite dated and absolutely not worth the money it cost to stay one night. I was so disappointed. The blind feel completely away from the window upon merely trying to open them and the bed was the worst bed I have ever slept in. I genuinely was so disappointed, the mattress was hard and the most uncomfortable I have ever felt.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions and this time d no different. Superb, friendly staff sorted out a room change without complaint. Had a fantastic meal again with great staff and stayed for the live music and the late bar.
There is absolutely nothing not to like about The Fort Hotel. Love the location, price, food and stunning rooms.

Food was great, atmosphere was great and the rooms (Gillies) were awesome
99% of the staff were really friendly, smiley and helpful, not sure who the guy was but assume bar manager could do with being a bit cheerier but all in all great experience ☺️👍🏻

we had room 51 which was exceptional. lots of space - we could’ve brought a couple of friends had we known there were also 2 single beds. The only thing that let it down, and it was a very minor thing was that the bedding on the double bed had stains on it. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
As mentioned above, very minor detail but could do with some new bedding.

Heard the music in the apartment on the Saturday night

It was nice to be out of city and near the water.
Enjoyed our stay, but photos on web site show more modern rooms than the one we had during our stay.

Everything was great. Very clean!
The only downside is the bar downstairs. It is very noisy in the nights, which makes it difficult to get some rest.

The staff were excellent.
First night we were in room 27 which was extremely noisy until 2.30am, with the night club pumping music out until 2am and people leaving.
I complained the next morning and was told that it is stated on the website that the the hotel is above a bar.
They very kindly found us quite acomadation for the rest of our stay.
This helped but this spoilt our holiday with us both knackered with the lack of sleep.
