Wonderful location and inviting accommodation

Room was lovely and very clean. Location was wonderful and Darin was warm and inviting. The home cooked breakfast was delicious. We would stay there again.

Ashley House is in an excellent location, a lovely peaceful and interesting part of Dundee. The proprietor Darren was ever so friendly, helpful and makes you feel at home. I would be happy to stay again if in Dundee and to recommend it to other people. In the evening there were lots of restaurants and pubs close by. In the morning before travelling I had an interesting visit to Broughty Castle and a walk along the river front.

Great stay, Great hosts, will be back!

Darren & Margaret are fantastic hosts. Full of interesting stories, but not forced on you. They had me and mum in stitches. The room was fantastic. Clean, comfy beds and heaps of room. Location is perfect as it’s very central. Highly recommend anyone to stay here.

A very large and comfortable B & B in a wonderful location with a great host.

Beautiful large room and large en-suite in a very pleasant location with restaurants close by. Host was most friendly and helpful. Having parking available at the property was convenient. A beautiful breakfast was served.

Enjoyed our stay.

The location was great. Walking distance to the shops, restaurants and bars. Train station 5/10 min walk. Bus stop across the road. Easy to getbto Dundee. Breakfast was excellent. Cooked fresh. Hosts Darren and Margaret very friendly and any enquiries you get a very quick response.

Excellent B&B

Loved this traditional B&B. Fantastic friendly host with fabulous stories! Breakfast was amazing, delicious and served with good chat. I love a breakfast room. So homely with lots of lovely traditional features. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Can't think of anything. I guess it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but I love a traditional guest house. Perfect!

Overall very good, exceptional host!

The room & breakfast were very good, the shower was not so good, very little pressure & hose kinking. Interaction with the owner was very good, nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

Enjoyable and stress-free stay.

Good location within easy walking distance of the town centre. Room was large and clean, towels changed daily. Good choice of breakfast options. Cooked breakfast was not too much and was nicely presented. Host was friendly and helpful. Good lighting in room.

Parking was a little tight, but was managed well by Darren the host.

Darren the host was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast made for a full belly for the day. The location of the hotel is ideal and lots of lovely walks by the sea or nature areas.

Good property with only a few rooms, kept well, managed well and in a good location. Great value too

Owner/Manager came out to meet me as I parked, knew who I was from my car registration and showed me to my room, very friendly and helpful, especially with local knowledge of where to eat etc... The whole place is well decorated and very clean. My single room was very good with a three quarter size bed, so plenty of space and the ensuite bathroom was very large and comfortable for a single room. Good variety for breakfast, well cooked and presented. Location is good, just a few minutes to the beach and lots of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, a very nice pit-stop while I was away on personal business, I may go back for a nine break.

I struggle to find anything I did not like. perhaps the shower could have had more water pressure. But even that was not much of a negative.

Thank you for a pleasant stay and the possibility of accommodating our dog.

The owner is wonderful, polite, cheerful and very helpful. Delicious breakfast. Room cozy and very clean. Close to the beach and the castle. Near to Dundee attractions, Arbroath Clifs.

Comfortable room and bed. Able to adjust heating for own comfort. Breakfast good. Host very welcoming. Easy to reach and good location. Parking on site.
