Quick visit produces reenergizing results with views to boot

Appreciated the 24-hour a day market/pantry at the Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Duluth Waterfront -- it was an unexpected treat to be able to grab snacks in the middle of the night. Also appreciated how close it is to Canal Park, but far enough way where it didn't feel so touristy. The view I had from room 311 overlooking the harbor, lift bridge, and Duluth's hillside was exactly what I needed to see to feel refreshed after a day of traveling.

I feel like the room rate for a Sunday night was $100 too high, but that's where touristy places like this get ya. Would've also enjoyed being asked if I'd like a late checkout.

Nice location just over the high bridge.

Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

Unfortunately we booked during a hockey tournament weekend and lots of kids running around the hallway.

We will not use this location again.

Breakfast was average. It was in an odd location.

I asked for both rooms to be next to each other. Reception desk could not find the order at first. Put us at opposite ends of the hotel.

Very pleasant and comfortable.

Breakfast was good. Selection had healthful foods.

Arrived after dark in the rain. Lighting in parking lot was not good. Hard to see what was available in the dark. Could use a lighted post at the entrance also.

Had a great motorcycle trip,and enjoyed our stay, and breakfast.

I thought the breakfast was great, good variety too. When we checked in I thought the staff member was not very welcoming. She seemed bothered that we were checking in. The rest of the staff was more friendly. I would definetly stay there again.

One staff member needs to at least smile when helping customers.

This was a way overpriced hotel. We usually like Marriott’s but this one was very disappointing.

Breakfast was ok and room was ok.

Staff rude, doubted us, no room service at all (no cleaning service and no food service). Staff said we would have to take our trash out of the building…etc.

The room was updated with nice amenities... however...

When we arrived, I told the attendant we had a Marriot rewards number but she said it didn't work and told me to call Marriot. Good customer service would have been to call Marriot for me since her computer also showed that I was a member and there were no other waiting guests. I returned later to tell her my number and she did not link it to my account so I did not get credit for the stay. BUT - all of that is really minor considering what happened next. We went to our room and there was a sticky circle of orange juice on the white bed side table and there was two black circles (kind of like smudged mascara) on the sheets AND when I went to wash my hands after finding these things, I noticed there was also a washcloth with what looked like mascara on it. We went to tell the attendant and she gave us a cloth to wash the table (!!) and we had to ASK that the bedding be fully changed and to replace the towels as she did not offer this. There was never a credit for the inconvenience or even an apology. I was simply told, "I will talk to my manager".

Great place to stay. Convenient to downtown without the chaos of downtown.

Breakfast was great! A lot of protein options you don't usually see. I also liked that you had protein shakes in the store.

I booked a king suite. Nothing was said at check-in, but the room we were given was a double queen room. When I asked the front desk, they said they were "overbooked online" and nothing else was available. They did not reduce my charges. The room was dirty, with long hairs stuck to the inside of the shower and outside of the tub.

Winter visit to friends living in Duluth. Went up to see a frozen Gooseberry Falls and the 7 Bridges

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable.

We went out for breakfast.

This is me being nit-picky but I prefer a fan in the bathroom. One other thing is that the outlet to plug my phone in at night was far away from the bed.

good location and very clean. I liked that the rooms were very spacious.

I thought the pool area was a little small and not much product in there store.
