Friendly staff. Comfortable room, great mattress, extremely quiet, wonderful breakfast, beautiful view of Lake Superior
I can't think of anything

The gentleman who checked us in was great, super friendly and informative. The location was pretty quiet for the most part, not right downtown or in a very busy part of the town. It was on a main highway but it didn't seem crazy busy or hard to get in and out of the parking lot.
The bathroom didn't have any shampoo/conditioner. All it had was a small travel size bar of soap and a bottle of travel size hand sanitizer and you couldn't find anyone to ask for some. At breakfast, there was no waffle mix left, the eggs were like eating styrofoam and no flavor with the only other option being cold cereal, raisin bran or frosted flakes, or a prepackaged muffin that was not good. I have been to a lot of hotels and it was by far the worst "continental breakfast" I've had/seen. I would have loved the option for just a simple piece of toast.

Coffee was good and available all day. The view was decent of Lake Superior.
The drain in the sink was clogged. The back door did not open or shut correctly so you can just walk in without needing a card. The hallways were very dirty by the doors.

Location
Toilet is too small.

That I was able to get a room near the water. Staff was nice.
Breakfast was very limited. The bathroom had semi-patched holes in the door. Smelled.

The location was perfect. It was right on the road I needed to continue on my trip. We could see the lake, which was nice.
There were roads blocked off, which made it difficult to get to the location. That was no fault of the hotel though.

Convenient to the DECC
Older facility… very cold in the hallway. End door would stick open. Never found a fan for the bathroom.

Bed was comfortable
People were to loud in the hallway.

the location was easy to get to and was close to several things
the condition, could use the luggage cart due to the wheels were flat and would not roll but even if the wheels were good the condition in the tile outside the entry was awful. The tiles were all broken and I slipped on a piece that was loose , several chunks are completely gone. Made me nervous to watch my elderly mom have to walk over them. When we first arrived our roll of toilet paper had five squares - really couldn’t change out the roll, we did have a new one there. The reservation was for four people and we received towels every day for three

This is a very budget friendly hotel. It is older and out dated but clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. It's not really fair to compare it to a 5 star hotel cuz u aren't paying for a 5 star hotel. The location is also very close to the lake front.
It could use some updating.
3.4
It was close to the location of the wedding I was attending.
It was not very clean. For two days they didn't change the bedding and the breakfast was not good.

The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great. We will stay there again.
