Property OK. Food OK
I still need a full VAT invoice for my stay from the Hotel. I've asked 3 times and it's still not been provided. Very poor !

The fire Alarm went off repeatedly keeping us awake throughout the night. No explanation from the staff and no apologies, the staff at the front desk were very rude. Room wasn’t overly clean, tired and dated. To top it off saw a rat running around outside the main entrance.

Staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Super friendly. Treats and an activity bag for the kids. Food was good in the restaurant and buffet breakfast was good too.
A few outdated things. Chairs in the dining room a little worn, showers by the pool noisey. They definately need some blinds or something in the evening restaurant, every table had someone being blinded by the sun. All these things seemed very minor though. We'd definitely go again even without these changes

Great visit once again
One comment this time - evening meal was a lovely buffet again. However staff were slow in taking drinks order and clearing plates away - only a couple of tables occupied at the time.

Location was really convenient
Bar food was delicious
Decor was tired and in need of a refresh, eg chair in room was really worn, paint rubbed off in places on woodwork
Bar area was small and dominated by TV
No sockets next to bed to charge phones
Not enough toiletries in bathroom for the number of people staying

NOTHING REALLY
I booked this hotel when it was a Marriott and Booking.com failed to inform me that 3 days before our arrival it was not now a Marriott.
The Breakfast on day one was poor and on day 2 dreadful, cold food and little choice. No Fruit, No Pastries just brown bread and a toaster. We did complain but the staff could have cared less. I have stayed for business at this hotel for 9 years and will NEVER go again

The hotel was clean and tidy, the welcome drinks and mince pies were a lovely touch too.
The staff were absolutely fantastic; from housekeeping making a towel birthday cake and note for my daughter’s birthday to the omelette chef and breakfast staff singing happy birthday to her with a special presentation. Absolutely perfect and I could not fault any of them.

Beautiful property in the countryside. Comfy bed. Nice staff. Lovely decor for christmas
Chair in room at desk was ripped, furniture was dated, would love to see it be modernised, sink in the bathroom the water would leak over the side, bit of dust and spiders
10.0 / 10.0
The staff were incredible, combined with an excellent venue. couldn't have been happier with the stay
The only negative was the pool was used quite a bit for kids lessons restricting its use at the times I went there but everything else was excellent

Loved the fresh fruit option , great selection of hot and cold breakfast was lovely . Staff were great friendly and polite
The pillows were small as in like cushions sizes and too soft if I had known they were feather filled I would have bought my own pillows . Room was a bit cold.

We met with 4 other couples as a birthday surprise and it was an extremely successful weekend. We loved our accommodation. The food was amazing and we enjoyed our walk around the beautiful grounds Sunday morning after breakfast before making our way home.

The room was comfortable and well equipped. Staff were all helpful. Only had evening meals which were all very enjoyable. Overall had very peaceful nights..

Free parking.
Ground floor room.
Good sized room.
As lone traveler felt safe.
Able to open window to relieve stuffiness.
Checkin quicker once acknowledged by reception staff.
Noisy.
Bathroom noises from surrounding and above rooms
Slamming doors.
Loud party goers in corridors returning to rooms late at night, early morning.
No assistance with luggage or trolley available.

Only the location
The rooms are so old, unclean, and furniture is broken. I could have a bath because it was disgusting. We have shampoo in the room.
The window didn't close properly
Really, a huge amount of money for rubbish rooms. The stuff at the restaurant ( a lady) smell so bad, she didn't wash I suppose

We used to stay at the hotel every year when our children were younger. My husband and I returned ourselves after several years for a midweek break. We still love everything about this hotel. So relaxing and comfortable. We will definitely be back with our adult children and their partners!

The staff make this hotel, genuinely friendly without being over the top. Beautiful location, beautiful food, and a great overall stay.
It was my sons birthday whilst we were there and the extra touches he received were unexpected and brilliant.

The staff in particular were amazing.
Very friendly and the service in the bar was particularly attentive.
Cobwebs in bathroom was a shame.
Tea making facilities were really dated and would expect more from Marriott.
No coffee machine in the room :(
Cutlery in the bar was 3 different pieces from different patterns / manufacturers.
Not from the same set ,
Breakfast was lovely but again the tableware didn't match the overall experience.
Seems a shame to have such wonderful staff and food and not provide equipment on the same level as the rest of the experience.
£50.00 surcharge that is returned if unused is not explained anywhere in booking and not explained well at reception.
Although reception were very helpful and friendly.
Can't fault the staff.

Beautiful area and grounds. Very clean, food lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely seeing the deer roaming the golf course. Hotel a little dated but everything lovely and didn’t particularly bother me.

Grounds very nice, room was good although the towels were thin.
Staff were friendly
The restaurant was very noisy with tables competing over each other to be heard, maybe larger groups could use a different area from couples as they are looking for different things from the evening.
Food was ok at best
