Staff was wonderful. Very helpful in getting me oriented to our location and super helpful directing me to the best adventures.
Well my orienteering skills could be better. But, can't think of any improvements to the hotel.

Staff was SO helpful in every way possible. They care about their customers and went out of the way the whole time I was at their RIAD.
Can't honestly think of a thing~!

Sana cooking was amazing, we dinner there 2 nights, sana food was way above everything, is like home cooking.

I think we could not have a better riad, to rest after a busy Marrakech, thanks Soo much to the entire staff!!

Gosh, where do I start! well, the unique and authentic ambiance, it was exactly what we hoped a riad would be in that it was welcoming, comfortable, simplistic and well located close to the excitement of the medina but down a quiet lane for peace when you need to escape the noise.
It was spotlessly clean too and the breakfasts daily on the roof terrace were always delicious. The one night we stayed in for dinner (pre ordered) was a culinary treat too. Sana is a fabulous cook.
But what really set this riad apart is the heartfelt commitment from Omar to ensure our stay is above and beyond expectations.
I can’t express enough how grateful we are for their hard work, expertise and kindness.
Nothing not to like.
I’m surprised some visitors to Marrakesh have not researched staying in the medina! It is impossible to get a car down the labyrinth of narrow lanes so you are met and guided by Omar from a parking square to walk just the last few metres to the riad. Also if you are the type of guest that expects a spa, swimming pool and other such facilities then I suggest you head to the new city where you will find familiar international hotels. But for us, Dar Asam was perfection.

Perfect! I will be coming back to riad dar asam!

The breakfast was ordinary but we really enjoyed the dinner which was excellent home cooked. Omar and Sana were excellent hosts and they went out of their way to help. They really did their outmost to make our stay enjoyable and at the end of our 3 days stay they were like family members.
My wife did not like the location which had nothing to do with the staff. I think people who do not enjoy Madineh may not like the locality. If you are driving and have hired a car this hotel is not suitable as naturally does not have a carpark and you have to get a porter to carry your luggage to the hotel. Furthermore, we left our car in a carpark in the periphery of Madineh and when later picked up the car we noticed it had a dent.

Great hospitality, friendly people with a diverse breakfast and a good location in the Medina

Spacious rooms, extra comfortable beds, convenient location, good facilities including the rooftop terrace, delicious breakfast and a great traditional dinner organised on request. Omar, Sanna and the rest of the wonderful staff made us feel welcome, promptly responded to our needs and really made a difference to our stay. Thank you!
Tip: we stayed in the suites on the first floor which allowed for more privacy than the ones on ground floor, albeit slightly more expensive. I would recommend it.
Value for money is not the best, no credit card facilities in the property was an inconvenience (this is flagged in their communication on booking), shower in our room had little/no pressure and could not be used without spilling water in the rest of the bathroom.

Location in the medina.
It was very deep into the medina and it was quite a walk with suitcases to get to a ride.

We really liked the open concept and the amount of space we had in each room. The terrace was also nice, lunch on the terrace was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was also good even though we only had breakfast.
Only issue is getting to the Riad it can be annoying and confusing. Luckily we had a close friends father help us get to our location. You will need someone who knows how to get to the location.

Very nice staff! Lots of place in the bedroom and huge bed. Also a very nice breakfast served on the rooftop.
Bed quiet hard. I like it very soft so maybe I am a bit picky on this one

The staff is exceptional. Omar and Sana made our stay really pleasant. Thank you, guys!
It's a good location if you are looking to stay somewhere in the Medina. Really close to the shopping streets and about 15 min walking to the main square. The riad has a nice rooftop
The food is great, the service is great, our room was cleaned every single day.
The riad is not reachable by car (no tour which offers hotel pick up can pick you up). If you use another taxi than the one the riad offer for transfer, it may have issues finding the nearest possible place where they can drop you. The exact location of the riad is not visible on the map (the visible location is on the same street though), so it may be really difficult to find it, because of the narrow streets in the area. Also, the phone number listed in Booking.com is the phone of their boss. We had issues reaching the riad with our driver and nobody responded to the phone. Better ask for a contact phone number in advance. Avoid asking local for direction, because you may end up with lots of people around you shouting to give them money because they showed you the direction.
Keep in mind that this area, although being the old and more authentic part of the city, is really different to what you may be used to (if you live in Europe, USA). It may be a little bit stressful to some at the beginning.
The wifi had some issues, so better have a local sim card.
Meals and drinks are a little bit expensive.

They sorted out transfers to and from the airport which were smooth and definitely recommended! Sana met us from the taxi too.
The Riad and room was beautiful. We ate at the Riad one night and didn't regret it, an amazing three course meal for a very decent price.
The whole Riad was very clean and the roof terrace was really nice.
The staff were really welcoming and polite and tried their best to be as helpful as they could.
Location of the Riad was fantastic, two minute walk to the souks.
Overall a great stay, thank you to the staff for making our first time in Marrakech so easy and enjoyable!
The ground floor rooms aren't as private as they could have been and on our last night it was very noisy with residents up until the early hours outside our room.
WiFi was tempremental.
