Tranquil break and lovely staff

The owner and staff were so lovely - the decor was just a pocket of tranquility. The breakfast was delicious. Straight into the Souks.

If you wanted to do bars it’s 25 mins walk or a taxi

One of a kind place and staff!

The property is a historical riad, located in the old Medina. It was our tranquil escape from a day walking in the souk. The decoration is exquisite, the breakfast a delight, with out of this world presentation. A great summary of this Riad is: « attention to details » and a warm welcome. While this riad is beautiful in itself, the amazing staff, including the cook and the major d’hommes Abdu and Omar, made our stay unforgettable. This is really the combination of the place, the decor and most importantly the warm welcome and care we have received, to understand our location and what places we could visit.

Really nothing at all. Everything was just perfect.

Exceptional

Omar and Abdul were very kind. It was felt like visiting a cousin. Meryem is the best. You should drink the Coffee she make. And jam which made by almond and argan oil was fascinating in breakfast. We left our soul in that garden. When we come again absoulitly will stay there. Thank you for everything guys.

fabulous!!! highly recommend

a great escape from the busy streets, it was so peaceful and calm the moment you walked through the door. The breakfast was superb and all the staff were very helpful, with some great recommendations

although there was no issue when we were there as it felt very safe and the Riad itself was locked at all times we didn’t have a lock on our door. This felt uncomfortable to start with however it also was quite nice not having to think about it. The room did have a safe so that helped alot too

fantastic stay for our first time in Marrakech. Omar, Mohammad and Abdul were all super helpful and very friendly

every little detail of decor and ambience was so tasteful. we loved everting about the property.

it would be nice if the safety deposit box could be a digital one instead of the one with a physical key. also it is currently placed in the bathroom, would be good to keep it in the cupboard or somewhere dry.

Beautiful riad in the medina but outside the noisy busy part to the medina

We loved staying at this beautiful riad located within the medina but in a quieter less touristy area. It was such an oasis of calm, quiet, and beauty with the heavenly scent of the orange blossom. The staff were warm, friendly and very polite and willing to help with anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. We had an evening meal the first night which we highly recommend as the tagines were delicious, the best we ate, and we had the place to ourselves with the courtyard lit with candles. Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully done and we highly recommend this riad if you are coming to Marrakech.

One evening was a little noisy after we'd gone to bed as we had the room by the pool.

Exceptional

All the staff at Riad Emberiza were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. We had friends staying in a nearby hotel who joined us for supper, and they like us were delighted with the delicious three course meal. Customer service from all members of staff was uniformly first-class, which implies that the team is well led and trained. Our friends were very envious of the well hidden beautiful riad that we were lucky enough to have stumbled upon. We certainly hope to return on our next visit to Marrakesh.

It would have been a bonus had there been sun loungers on the roof terrace.

Beautiful, peaceful riad. The food we had on arrival and the breakfasts were perfect. The staff , Ahmed and his team were so friendly and made our visit very memorable. The level of attention to detail and the way our rooms were cleaned was 5 star.

It was a lovely, beautiful rejuvenating stay

I have stayed in a few, and all I can say is this Riad is something special : architecturally, imposing with its colonnades, glorious patio with pool, orange trees and fountains. Beautiful terraces with stunning views. Superbly decorated down to each individual room with their own signature names and their own decor. The staff were superb, catering for every wish and extremely attentive. Always with a smile on their face. Thank you Omar, Wafa and Abdu. The area is also fascinating: It is Authentic Medina where Moroccans still reside next to the famous mosque built for the patron saint of Marrakech, Sidi Bel Abbess. The Riad is ideally located 15 minutes walk to the new city and Jardin Majorelle and 15 minutes walk to the heartland of the Medina and the souks. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Authentic, charming and friendly

The Riad is particularly well situated and a short walk into the Medina. The staff are very warm, welcoming and are more than keen to accommodate your every need. Emberiza Sahari is pleasantly decorated and most comfortable. I you want an authentic stay close to the city centre this is the place to go. Highly recommend a sojourn here; an oasis of calm in what is otherwise a frenetic city outside the Riad’a doors.

Great service, but much more expensive than its value to us

Food was great, service was excellent

The place felt a bit run down. The shower would run out of hot water within 5-10 minutes, the finishings were old and worn, it just didn't feelt like the incredible place that a 9.7/10 rating (and price to match it) would have been. It was also located a bit far from the center of town. The doors to our room were especially strange, they didn't lock and had partially-frosted glass that could have allowed someone to see into our room at night if they stood in the right place.

Absolutely perfect, a gem of a place to stay. Staff were so helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was served in the tranquil courtyard of the Riad, accompanied by the sound of a fountain and bird song- just perfect!

Magical, perfect Riad experience. Lived up to our high expectations for a first trip to Marrakech.

Beautiful citrus trees around a small pool, with tasteful décor throughout and a lovely rooftop patio. The photos are accurate! Breakfast is flexible and lovely, always served with care in an intimate location.

Alexandra is lovely and very helpful with information—occasionally we wanted less information so we could wander freely.

A beautiful riad in a wonderful location, with amazing staff

We only stayed one night but it left such an amazing impression - Alexandra was the best host, so helpful and a joy to chat with. Excellent breakfast and such a tranquil location, even had a dip in the lovely plunge pool. Book now, you won’t regret it! We will certainly be back in the future.

The best place we could've stayed

The location was gorgeous, as was the actual residence. The staff go above and beyond and meet every expectation. This is my favourite place i've ever stayed on a holiday. Can't wait to return, it's a must see.

We had such a beautiful time at Riad Emberiza. It was like staying in the best hotel of the entire world but with the privacy of your home. Nice mix! The service was absolutely perfect. Alexandra, the director of the Riad, resolves any doubt, helps you to organize your stay and has a lot of useful tips! Trust her. Wafa made us an amazing breakfast and is a super sweatheart. The location is perfect. We will be back.
