A lovely place to stay and Claire, the host , was friendly and attentive.

A little far from the Royal Mile and the centre of fun.

Enjoyed our stay

Easy check in and check out process. High celling. Free fruits, croissants, milk. Great location.

Nice base, pretty central, quiet apartment, to explore Edinburgh for a night or two.

Very quiet apartment with comfortable beds. Efficient layout, nice high ceilings. We slept really well!

Very very tiny bathroom with a nice shower. So tiny, we had to towel outside, in the small hallway. With a family of four it worked, but any other constellation I would find difficult. The apartment was clean, but it felt, as if a deep clean would be good. The sofa had stains. The kitchen felt superficially cleaned with cutlery that was not really clean (which might be because of lack of dishwasher). The fridge was very clean. The area was ok and not too noisy with a few cute cafes, but there are definitely nicer areas in Edinburgh to stay. For us it worked, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer than two nights.

Superb

Claire was wonderful. Excellent communication The apartment feel likes you are staying at someone's home, not a sterile hotel. Plenty of games and bedding. We loved the location and the cafe across the street is amazing! We had 4 adults and 2 kids and, while the apartment is not big, everyone had enough space.

Not Cleaned

Property is in quite a good location, only 10-15 mins walk to old town. Also has a lovely cafe opposite the apartment who are very friendly.

The cleanliness was not to a good standard, half used food left in cupboards, including some mouldy tortilla wraps. There was thick dust on and in the wardrobe. Lastly, one of the double beds was unusable as it had a loud squeak every time you moved even the slightest amount. Two of us had to sleep on the small sofa bed.

Convenient and relaxing apartment for our short getaway

The apartment was very comfortable with everything we needed. The location was very convenient with shops/cafes nearby and an easy walk into the city centre. Perfect for our group of 5. Slept well on the sofa bed too! Claire was an attentive host both before and during our stay, great experience.

The shower room was compact, but fine for a short stay. The main entryway in the building gets quite dark in the afternoon before the lights come on, so had to be careful in the hallway and on the stairs. Would also recommend slippers in the apartment as some areas of the wood flooring were very slippy. Couldn't get out to the downstairs patio as someone had run off with the key!

We had a wonderful couple of days exploring Edinburgh for the first time in 6 years

Great location and great character property that was presented well and comfy.

It’s not something I didn’t like as such as you probably expect it for such a central place but parking was a little bit of a faff and transporting all the bags between where we parked and the apartment (up 2 flights). We managed but probably more difficult with younger kids.

Thanks for a lovely stay in a quiet area in Edinburgh

Host was always available and responded to our questions and requests immediately. The apartment is spotless, well-appointed and comfortable, in a quiet area with convenient public transport to town center, a supermarket and restaurants nearby.

Small bathroom but this didn't bother us. We knew in advance that there was a two-story walk up to the apartment.

With a group of 5 the price is OK, as we can share. It served our purpose as an overnight stay.

Location was good

Bathroom very small. 5th person had to sleep on bed sofa, which was OK, but not clear from the beginning. It is OK to spend the night but it is too much to call it a 'retreat'.

Authentically Edinburgh…. comfortable, convenient and one of our favorite places we stayed.

Location and amenities. Laundry detergent, snacks, a place to hang clothes on top of a great area.

I didn't realize the apartment was on what I would consider the third floor ( two flights of stairs, not one). Totally my misunderstanding though.

fantastic !

The owner is very warming and extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was in a nice location where it is was very quiet, yet 10 min walk from Edinburgh castle. It was a very pleasant stay and I will be definitely booking this apartment again next time I visit Edinburgh.

Superb

Just around the corner from Haymarket station and an easy walk into town, with lots of shops and places to eat nearby the flat is in a great location. The beds are super comfortable and Claire was a great host - making sure that everything was OK and providing a few essentials to get the morning off to a great start.
