Alarmed

The staff member was friendly.

The property appears to be occupied by people living there, more temporary accommodation as opposed to a budget hotel. People wandering around barefoot in pyjamas. The communal areas were all shut up. People drying towels at the window. The staff member finished at 8pm suggesting only residents on site after that time. Someone urinating at the entrance as we arrived. Electrics looked questionable. Plug in oil heater for the room. We checked out 20 minutes after checking in as it didn't feel like a hotel or very safe.

Superb

The convenience of the location being about 6 minutes from the Peterborough train station and Peterborough Cathedral. Close proximity to eateries like MacDonald's & Hungry Boys Cafe.

A short stay in a busy city hotel.

The room was very small but clean and had everything for a short stay. The staff are lovely. I could check in 2 hours earlier and were very nice when checked out a half an hour. There's a kitchen you can use to warm your food and keep food in the fridge. The hotel looks a very safe place. The door is always locked and there are cameras. The shared bathrooms are clean and supplied with paper and soap. The water is always hot.

The hotel is mostly used by people who start working very early making noise leaving and you cannot sleep too long in the morning. There's no lounge to sit and watch TV or listen to music. You need to stay in your room to do so. The TV was very small mounted very high and there wasn't a comfy arm chair to sit in and relax. All in all it is a good and cheap place for people who come to work but not good for some who want to rest and relax.

The staff were professional

Whilst I appreciate there is being work done to upgrade the facilities that is not made clear when booking. The rooms are clean but very tired and certainly not comforting after a long day at work.The bathroom was tiny and again needs re-vamping. The shower was either freezing cold or boiling hot.

If your looking for somewhere to put your head down for the night and on a budget i can highly recom

There was a free breakfast of toast or cereal and tea and coffee, The room was clean and a good size and very cheap and was a lot better than my expectations. And safe free parking with locked gates on a night.

Deco could be brighter but other than that for what we paid and in the location we needed it was good.

Dissapointing and left us tired rather than refreshed

Having an on suit shower room

The shower room had no screan so this left the floor wet and dangerous. There was no place to hang a towel in the shower room. Couldn't use main shower as the washer was missing and water came out at the connection. The reception was a poor first impression as it wasn't clean and look neglected. We got no sleep because there was a full scale arguement between residents going on in the hallway in the middle of the night. The noise in the hallway was unsettling, threatening and made us feel unsafe making a restful night impossible

The staff were lovely and the location was near the where I was working.However on entering my room it smell damp and like someone had been smoking in there.The bedding and towels were very clean and bathroom was nice.

The toilet was not cleaned because there was residueof faeces in the toilet water and faeces marks in the toilet not a good sight. The hotel could be upgraded from the wardrobe to the the carpet

very good as usual except for air con fan on this occaision.

This is the third or fourth stay at Newark. sadly this time i had difficulty sleeping with an air con fan starting / running some 15 feet from my window. hopefully i will not get this room again. andy moles
