Buen hotel en un entorno espectacular

Hotel en un edificio histórico, a escasos metros de Búðakirkja, rodeado de una naturaleza espectacular. Buen desayuno y restaurante. Zonas comunes muy cuidadas.

Las habitaciones comienzan a acusar el paso de los años. Imagino que esto se resolverá con la ampliación del hotel en la que estaban trabajando durante mi estancia.

The views from our room was absolutely stunning! I liked the decor in the room

There was a sewage smell in our bathroom and after I mentioned it, it was resolved There were no tea making facilities in our room- but on request it was provided

Great location, can imagine it could be lovely.

Great location within a nice character building, great dinner in the restaurant.

We were expecting a view of the area and church from our room but it was a construction site with the boom of an excavator blocking any view. Request to change room was denied. Should advise guests when booking will be a construction site and recommend compensating them in some manner.

It’s a beautiful hotel, but be sure to pay the extra for a nicer room.

it’s a beautiful hotel with a wonderful restaurant in a gorgeous setting.

We were put in one of the smallest rooms in the hotel - and one of the smallest rooms I’ve stayed in outside NYC. The bathroom had a very odd 2-tier shower/tub that was extra short to boot. There was no place to hang towels in the bathroom so we had to put them in the bedroom.

Convienient for the national park and if used as a bed a breakfast it was excellent

Breakfast was very good The evening meal though good the menu was repetitive

The room was in the roof space With the sloping ceiling, it was not the most convenient and was cramped The bed was comfortable The outside was mainly 0 -2c and the room and hotel were warm enough

Excellent facilities and staff. Five stars all the way.

It was an excellent place to stay. The location, staff, restaurant were all top notch and well above expectation. I would go back any time of the year. The hotel was very cozy and friendly. You have to go to the restaurant on site and the cocktails were tasty as well.

Perfect to use the Budir church

Location for our wedding Food and service was 5 star Staff very helpful Views were amazing

Great location, great people, awesome breakfast, very cozy with wood burning fireplaces, nice bar

It's in the middle of no-where but a perfect location. Very cozy, run by the family and very welcoming. Great bar on location. Rooms were big enough. Great views of the glacier. 200 ft from Budir's black church. Convenient to Anarstapi, Red fern gorge. Great place to rest. Breakfast was awesome, however dinner menu was very strange - we could not eat *anything* from the menu. Fortunately, we had packed Cup-o-noodles for such emergencies. I would have been happy with breakfast-for-dinner !! Hotel Manager, Bartender, other visiting guests were all very friendly. It's also a great place to chit-chat with other tour guides to get quick-tips on things (hint-hint). We got one such tip that helped us get to a secret parking lot close to the new lava field near Fagradalsfjall

Dinner menu was very strange and we could not eat anything. Beef Cheeks, Friend chicken skin, poached asparagus, beet salad (was all beet and beet only). Dessert (apple pie) was not great. Cup-O-Noodles and Chocolate was our dinner

Very good

Lovely lobby that was very comfortable to sit in and take in the terrific views. A 2-minute walk to the historic Black Church. Very friendly and helpful front desk attendant. Restaurant was fantastic - with great service and food - perhaps a bit overpriced. Nice breakfast spread.

Prices at restaurant. Room a tad small and temperature was tough to manage.
