Great for my stop over whilst visiting friends locally. Stunning views, well appointed property and friendly welcome.
Slightly more detailed instructions on finding property especially in the dark.

Lovely rural location, quiet and beautiful views. Cottages were well appointed, clean and comfortable. Linda is a great host.
Not really a ‘didn’t like’, but a recommendation that there is more lighting installed around the i-hut and also on the track down to the Retreat. Because we travelled with family we were walking between the properties where others in our group were staying and we would’ve brought some torches if we’d known. The decking was also slippy outside the retreat and I-hut.

This is a working farm. ❤️The whole family are so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking with owners about their farm and able to look around.

Linda was friendly. Only there for a night, but waking up to cows peering over the fence was fun. Cottage was cute and .

The property was a really nice touch to the countryside… doesn’t feel like a farm… so peaceful and lots of space? Nice place for a family break and lots to do around the area.
Staff and everyone at the farm were so helpful and kind.
Internet service didn’t get much reception, which was also a good point to get us all off our phones.
Everything was great.

Nice and quiet, interesting watching the cows being milked and the calf's fed.
Liked the style of the cottages, pretty and inkeeping with the farm surroundings.
Very comfortable beds!
Flies got a bit annoying, but then we were on a dairy farm!
Would have been useful to have had a few more plates, bowls and cutlery in the room.

Perfect location. The children were able to run around and just be free. They had great fun in the farm. My daughter wanted to bring the lovely sheep dog home

The place was lovely & Linda was friendly & welcoming. Price was amazing. Had everything you needed.
It said it was a 1 bedroom but really it was a studio with dbl bed & sofabed. Also was no pets allowed which is why we chose it ( Grandson petrified) there were at least 8 dogs there. Couple ran in our cottage. Had to keep closing door. Tried to fish on the lake but dog kept barking at ducks/fish so scared grandkids. Also Dog poo everywhere. If you love dogs then place is amazing

The bed was nice and comfy. Breakfast was nice Our hosts were very friendly. The farm cat just let herself in for a nap on the bed which was pretty funny 🤣
The toilet was pretty much a hot box.

We enjoyed the open spaces and fresh air, with animals roaming around all day this makes a break feel different to other commercial places. We were impressed with the friendliness of everyone on the farm and it was great to see the children playing out in nature.

Warm - comfortable bed - plenty of hot water great shower and toilet facilities exceptional views of countryside good books of Devon friendly hostess who provided breakfast of our choice - very child friendly for little ones
It was difficult to find as sat nav didn’t work in the area and one should study a map before setting off also as isolated one should bring some food. Excellent cooking facilities supplied

We loved everything about our trip. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owners and their family. My teen was able to help feed the calves upon arrival. Our cottage was lovely and was so comfortable and all the little things had been considered, they had even provided games for us to play as a family and we could have a fresh jug of cows milk from that morning. Great facilities and spotlessly clean. Our cottage had in my opinion one of the most gorgeous views I had ever seen. Would definitely come back.
Loved everything about it.
